Had a very stressful 15 hours.

Last night I came home with dinner with friends and when I came back to the apartment I am staying in the key broke off in the lock and I couldn't get in.

Fortunately the people who own the apartment also have a guest house. I called the emergency number for the guest house and someone met me there. They put me up in one of their rooms and called a locksmith in the morning.

It was a very stressful night and I didn't sleep well. The locksmith didn't come until late morning and most of my day was wasted and couldn't go to Cambridge as I wanted to.

Are you paying for this apartment?  I hope they do something very nice to make up for your loss of sleep and time.

I shall now be on my way to a brush up rehearsal with no costumes and no tech....which is good....but it will still be three hours.

Tuesday afternoon greetings!  I was up and out of here early this morning to attend a meet-up of folks who were in that collage class I took earlier this spring.  Not many of us there and I'm not sure I'll make that drive every month.  This afternoon I've been reading ROOM to get ready for watching the movie with my book group Thursday evening.

TOD - During a Sunday service in our former church there was a commotion behind us and to our right.  An elderly gentleman had passed out and his wife was calling for help.  My friend Barb, who's a nurse, shot out of the choir loft to help and 9-1-1 was called.  They asked everyone else to remain seated while the medics stabilized him and took him out.  The organist quietly played hymns and it was very somber.  Turned out to be some kind of imbalance in Mr. F's medications and he was fine after that was addressed in the hospital.

Michael:  A little WD-40 sprayed into the keyhole on both sides of the door should make the lockworks operate more smoothly.  A new key is unlikely to break in the lock, at any rate.

That's what I've heard, too...she actually might have a career ahead of her.

Last night  they called me to tell me that I won the raffle.  I never win anything.

What did you win? The chance to understudy Mary?

No, I won a little over $4,000.00

Wow!  Congratulations.

Double congrats.

I am home from my meeting about tweaks and minor changes to Moonshine and Mistletoe.

DR JRand65, what do you know about the Studio Theatre in Carmel, IN?  I believe this is where my colleague DJ is staging "Million Dollar Quartet" this month.

Back from an extraordinary lunch and afternoon, about which more later.  Had I not been so exhausted writing the notes at one in the morning I would have included vixmom's birthday wishes - I shall now add them

Congrats to TCB on his raffle winnings!

I couldn't be happier for you.

But what is a 50/50 raffle?

And Congrats to Jeanne on her milestone:

:D

(I must confess that I missed the actual moment last night, but I felt it was a milestone significant enough to justify modifying the image to recreate the moment.) ;)

Thank you, George! I hadn't noticed.

Today I visited one of those WE BUY GOLD stores. I brought in the gold from the two gold crowns I recently had replaced. Four tiny bits of gold = $22, about what I thought it would be. Not even close to what the new crowns cost me, but it did buy lunch.  :)

(I use a rebate credit card at the dentist and the points bought me a DVD.)

Good evening.
