I do not understand what the fat hell has happened to this site's marquee thread. Why does half of my post not run where it should?

I just logged out and looked at my post as a guest. You are right, Nursie; it runs in one long thread, as I want it to. Yet, when I post it, and on my logged-in view, it runs intwo lines!
DR JohnG, U saw this page and thought of you!

I'm not sure how I like Season 2 beginning in 2013, 60 years later.

Happy Birthday, Ginny.
That's great, Ginny!!!
Does your whole family do wordplay? :)
A Very Happy Birthday to DR Ginny!! :D
The G&D Overture is finally proofed. It took me forever to make up my mind to do it. I'm happy it's finished.
Back to The New Yorkers.
Hmmm, I must have forgotten to log out when we left for church. We enjoyed the Methodist service, especially the preview of the children's Christmas Eve play. A group that included great-nephew Nathan (age 12) sang "Dude, You Hear What I Hear?"

I'd eat them all. Both the torte and toffee cake look wonderful. The one that sounds best to me is not necessarily the prettiest, but I'd likely scarf down a pint or two of ginger beer sorbet without blinking. Or thinking.
Be sure to take a meatball salad to the party, John!
Glad you could find it DR JANE. As DR JEANNE suggested, when I use it, I take the child's dose and that is plenty.
Feel better vibes for DR Jane!
Vibes for Jane!
I'm ready for the party. Feeling much more festive. I'm even sporting a new bow tie.
One of my favorite episodes will be shown: "Coast to Coast Big Mouth."
CBS is showing 2 colorized episodes of "The Dick van Dyke Show" tonight.
Feel better vibes for DR Jane!
Thank you. I need this cough gone by Tuesday as we are seeing ALLEGIANCE. Half the time I sound like a seal. Walking home today I had an attack that doubled me over.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to DR GINNY!
I hope you had a wonderful day!
Sorry to hear about your cough, Jane.
The cough syrup I've been using says "Boiron Chestal Honey." I think you may have a slightly different formula. I wonder if the one I've been using has been discontinued. A search turns up lots of very similar products.

Hmmm, I did a search here and found Boiron Chestal Cold & Cough so that is what I purchased. I will look and see what the difference is regarding the cough syrup portion.

I suspect they're quite similar. The honey makes it quite sweet. Does yours have honey?
I've returned to the show that Jane doesn't like, LONGMIRE. I find the Indian characters particularly interesting.
I went out this afternoon in search of chocolate Santas. No chocolate Santas to be found. The nearby Ralph's supermarket has had them in the past at Christmas, but not this year. The employee I asked said that the store manager must be a real grinch!
This afternoon I saw "The Secret Garden" at the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC. It was great. Josh Young and Michael Xavier were wonderful as the Craven brothers. And youngest ever female Tony winner Daisy Eagan played Martha, the housemaid, and was terrific.
Someone at church gave me a $250 gift card to buy toys for the kids at the soup kitchen...
Diana Montague, the British mexxo-soprano whp plays Aunt Minnie on my recording of Roberta, is in Manhattan rehearsing for the Metropolitan Opera production of Romeo et Juliette. I hoping she can go with me tomorrow night to see the Town Hall concert of Bright Star.

It doesn't seem of feel Christmas-y yet this year.
Guess I'll be sleeping in

It feel nice to me though. It warmed up to 60 this evening. I like it.
They are still taking names for a standby list at every performance, and so far, all of the people on the lists has gotten into the performance.
One of the ladies in the audience came up to me after the show wanting to know why Mr. Potter didn't give back the $8,000 he took from Uncle Billy.
I told her he used the money to go to Las Vegas.

That is funny.

There are a few seats available next Friday and Saturday night, but basically we are sold out for the rest of the run.
I wonder if Keith is going to get any sleep tonight with my hacking away. Sigh.
How were your shows this weekend, George?
How were your shows this weekend, George?
Good performances, good but smallish audiences. We'not paying any royalties, and I haven't gotten very many receipts for reimbursements, so we're not losing any money. :)
