Well, you've read the notes, the notes were eclectic, and now it is time for you to post until the eclectic cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ESOTERICA!
-
First post after BK!
-
Second post after BK!
-
First post following George.
-
Well, today is going to be a day. I have to go in to work for a little bit; then I need to get some more programs printed; then I need to get some water and sodas at Costco for concessions for 1984 at The Midnight Sun; then I have to go to my sister's and help her do some things (i'm not sure what); then I need to bring the programs, water, and sodas to the theater and meet a fellow board member to return a script to her; then I'll probably have to go back to my sister's for a while; then I'll go to Olympia Little Theatre for our Saturday night performance of The Trip to Bountiful.
-
Whew!
;D
-
And what will you do after noon?
-
And what will you do after noon?
Fortunately, it all will happen after noon, so I won't have to be rushed...just very busy.
:))
-
Well, Tom, I need to get some sleep in preparation for my long day.
Good night and have a nice day.
-
Good night, George.
-
Have fun today, everyone!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Like vixmom, I'm leaving early to arrive early and get the parking deal.
-
See yez all in four hours or less.
-
I've started my tax work for the day. Luckily, it's a very interesting return.
-
TCB - Didn't we meet and have lunch (with George and Skip also) almost ten years ago? When Skip and I were in the Seattle area in 2008?
I'm sure it was you. (a Sondheim reference)
-
Or might it have been our trip in 2006?
-
Not having one of my better days, but am determined to make it on time.
-
Is the group going out for anything after? Or is it too much of a time crunch?
-
good morning to all
-
Good morning !
-
Is the group going out for anything after? Or is it too much of a time crunch?
I think there was talk of going out after the show especially since we won't see DR elmore earlier.
-
Saturday morning greetings! We're taking it easy this morning and looking forward to a friend-filled afternoon and evening. Traveling-into-the-City vibes for DRs Vixmom and ChasSsmith!
-
Is the group going out for anything after? Or is it too much of a time crunch?
I think there was, but we have another engagement - the annual Equinox Cocktail Party hosted by our friends Doug and Jon.
-
Good morning, all!
-
As is usual for post-therapy days, my leg was killing me throughout the night. Around 3:00 I look a muscle relaxer - first one in months - and slept pretty well from then until 9:30. I will take the bottle of pills with me today.
-
DR TCB, I want to see your show!
-
The matinee will end around 4:30. talkback will begin around 4:45 and end maybe around 5:30If you all gather after on the main floor of the auditorium, I will come and find you.
-
We cast our boy soprano. Joshua Terchin. I left the audition to meet DR JohnG with the advice that there were several who would work out and left it to Brent, our MD.
-
We early parkers are parked in the lobby of Hilton garden lobby just loitering , like ya do
-
TOD:
Wow, I had to go to IMDB.com to discover that I've seen almost no Denzel Washington films at all, and he's done a ton and won two Oscars I knew nothing about. I've only seen:
Cry Freedom
Philadelphia
The Pelican Brief
All three were very good. I read the book, The Pelican Brief, because I read all John Grisham books and I enjoyed it very much.
-
I just checked my schedule for the recording next week. Oy! We're all over the map, 10:00-6 some days, Thursday 12:00-8:00. Two of my Encores! friends are singing in the ensemble.
-

Don't let the police arrest you.

Have fun in NYC everyone!!!!
-
Good afternoon, all.
-
Great brunch with DRs Vixmom, ChasSmith, Ginny and her Richard, Kevin and Jose.
-
TOD:
Malcolm x
Mo' Better Blues
Inside Man
He Got Game
-
Great brunch with DRs Vixmom, ChasSmith, Ginny and her Richard, Kevin and Jose.
:)
-
Will we see a photo from brunch today?
-
I'm up, I'm up - about seven hours of sleep but stayed in bed an extra hour.
-
In honor of today's question we are going to watch FENCES.
-
Someone will have to go to Facebook for the photos.
-
Kevin says TCB's got his work cut out for him today.
-
I found a photo of the NYC gathering. You prolly have to be a BooKFace member to see it.

Nice grouping.
-
Haven't heard a peep from Sami's mom so have no idea when they're actually getting here - it was supposed to be between four and four-thirty.
-
I finessed the liner notes and someone is checking them out right now then it's off to Doug for designing.
-
Our river continues to rise. The marker I check almost daily is up to 17.90 inches. The bridge from Vancouver to Portland normally goes up once a day to permit a ship to go under the bridge. The bridge has had to go up 3-5 times a day due to the rising waters.
-
Awhile back I put up a photo of the water at the end of our little marina. The legs of the park bench were underwater, as were the legs of a little bench without a back rest.
The little bench is now completely under water and the dark stripe in the photo is the very top of the back of the larger bench.

Wow.
-
It is entertaining, as long as we don't loose our walking path. I would go bonkers if I could walk there. The river is beautiful right now.
-
Sami and mom have come and gone. Sami's doing Legally Blonde at her high school so we had a little work session - gave her a few notes, mostly to do with not rushing, making sure there were pauses for the jokes, and that kind of thing. She's gonna be really cute in it - I see it next Friday.
-
That's a lot of water DR JANE!
-
Back from a really fine day.
-
That's a great picture, taken by a complete stranger. People were crossing in front of us and she just suddenly snapped once and got that perfectly.
-
Intermission of War Paint. The actresses are special. The music is really solid. The production is gorgeous. The audience is eating it up.
I'm just not sure the book works. It all feels like Spark Notes or Cliff's Notes, outlines of two extraordinary and complex lives.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I'm so pleased at the turnout for the HHW NEW YORKERS reunion. And very pleased for our own DR Elmore! A big congrats! I feel quite excited, even though I couldn't be there.
-
I enjoyed the photos.
-
Continued recovery vibes to DR Druxy.
-
I hope that DR Laura is now pain-free.
-
DR Ginny, I can't believe how much you were able to do in your first day! And you were able to snag Jose, as well.
-
Hope there'll be photos from the brunch, too.
-
I'd been promising myself some staycation. Of course, that's always a bit of a joke, because by the time I do the laundry, catch up on some (not all!) of the errands and such, there seems to be so little time left. I did manage to make some, however. The more time I had to relax, the more I realized how much I needed it. Then I took a little more. I really do need to hire some help.
TCB, you still have Betzy, don't you?
-
I am home , traffic was heavy so it took nearly 2 hours. But I have just uploaded pictures to photobucket and will bring them here

Oh, good!

Vixmom, are Uber and Lyft very prevalent in NYC? Can that be a viable option for some things?

I was pleased that Ben could attend, too.

I need to feed my face. I'll try to check back later.

What a superb day!
-
Brunch was fun and the food fine
-
The New Yorkers was magnificent!!
-
Beautiful lush orchestrations
-
The show was silly and fun!
-
The solo of Love for Sale made me cry
-
The final song I Happen To Like New York was the perfect ending to the show
-
Vibes that a CD is recorded , this score is too beautiful to disappear
-
The talk back was very nice and Larry and Josh received a huge round of applause when they were introduced, clearly their work was very much appreciated
-
That's a great picture, taken by a complete stranger. People were crossing in front of us and she just suddenly snapped once and got that perfectly.
:)
-
Afterwards we went to a diner where another diner recognized our Elmore and stopped to pay him a lovely compliment

I think 2006. It was a delightful lunch and show!

I have heated up my leftovers from the diner and I am having a little snack niw
-
Now
-
What a special day. It was so great meeting so many of my extended HHW family.
-
War Paint was a little like a Maltby-Shire show. The songs revealed more than the book. Still, the audience was very pleased.
-
Oh, dear, it seems maybe I've been logged in here all day when, actually, I was having a fabulous time here in NYC. THE NEW YORKERS was amazing and I, too, hope for a recording. We had a nice time at our friends' cocktail party, where we encountered many fans of the woman who sang "Love for Sale." One couple had just purchased tickets for tomorrow because they'd seen her mentioned in a review. The party hosts are also seeing it tomorrow.
-
So wonderful to hear that a great time was had in NYC today!
-
I hope that DR Laura is now pain-free.
Thanks, Jeanne. Nothing that a little ibuprofen can't handle at this point.
-
Glad to hear Laura is feeling better
-
I wish the whole HHW family could have been there today
-
Tod
Much ado about nothing
The taking of Pelham 123
-
Well I , for one, am tired.
-
And since I am assisting minister tomorrow I better get me to bed
-
Good night all, thank you for a wonderful day... And thank you to BK who made it possible for me to meet all these wonderful friends
-
The Trip to Bountiful is going well. There are fewer people tonight than last night, and they're not too lively, so I can only hope that they're enjoying it.
-
TAO's 1984 is sold out for tonight! Hoo and Ray!! :D
-
The first intermission is almost over.
Back to the show.
-
And I am home from a long day. It was wonderful to see everyone. I'm sorry that DR Ginny and Richard abandoned us for another event, and that the coffee shop had to seat seven of us at two different tables, but I am honored that DRs Ben, FJL, Kevin H, JohnG, ChasSmith, vixmom, Ginny, and Richard came into the city to see the production.
-
We had a sound glitch tonight at Al's first entrance. The gunshots before Mona says "Here he is now" didn't happen and Mylnda ad libbed something that attempted to cover the discussion about killing doormen. That will not happen again. Otherwise, the show played really well, although I think it played better this afternoon.
-
Good night, all.

Just another part of the joy and terror of live theater!
;)
-
Page four? Really?
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
More reports, kids, more reports.
-
We turned off FENCES. It may be a great play, however, we are not big fans of movies that are really plays. It also might just be that the lead is such an unlikable person that we really didn't care to continue to listen to his ramblings.
-
I'm home.
-
Just had to share. :)
-
Good evening!
-
Just returned home from seeing GYPSY.
-
A very long show.
-
Said a quick hello to former DR Jed.
-
He did a very nice job as Herbie.
-
My friend Sharry was there tonight.
-
Tom, did you enjoy it?
-
Gratuitous post #130!
