Well, you've read the notes, the notes were eclectic, and now it is time for you to post until the eclectic cows come home.

Well, today is going to be a day.  I have to go in to work for a little bit; then I need to get some more programs printed; then I need to get some water and sodas at Costco for concessions for 1984 at The Midnight Sun; then I have to go to my sister's and help her do some things (i'm not sure what); then I need to bring the programs, water, and sodas to the theater and meet a fellow board member to return a script to her; then I'll probably have to go back to my sister's for a while; then I'll go to Olympia Little Theatre for our Saturday night performance of The Trip to Bountiful

Fortunately, it all will happen after noon, so I won't have to be rushed...just very busy.

As is usual for post-therapy days, my leg was killing me throughout the night.  Around 3:00 I look a muscle relaxer - first one in months -  and slept pretty well from then until 9:30.  I will take the bottle of pills with me today.

Wow, I had to go to IMDB.com to discover that I've seen almost no Denzel Washington films at all, and he's done a ton and won two Oscars I knew nothing about. I've only seen:
Cry Freedom
Philadelphia
The Pelican Brief
All three were very good. I read the book, The Pelican Brief, because I read all John Grisham books and I enjoyed it very much.

Our river continues to rise.  The marker I check almost daily is up to 17.90 inches.  The bridge from Vancouver to Portland normally goes up once a day to permit a ship to go under the bridge.  The bridge has had to go up 3-5 times a day due to the rising waters.

Awhile back I put up a photo of the water at the end of our little marina.  The legs of the park bench were underwater, as were the legs of a little bench without a back rest.

The little bench is now completely under water and the dark stripe in the photo is the very top of the back of the larger bench.

It is entertaining, as long as we don't loose our walking path.  I would go bonkers if I could walk there.  The river is beautiful right now.

Sami and mom have come and gone.  Sami's doing Legally Blonde at her high school so we had a little work session - gave her a few notes, mostly to do with not rushing, making sure there were pauses for the jokes, and that kind of thing.  She's gonna be really cute in it - I see it next Friday.

Intermission of War Paint. The actresses are special. The music is really solid. The production is gorgeous. The audience is eating it up.

I'm just not sure the book works. It all feels like Spark Notes or Cliff's Notes, outlines of two extraordinary and complex lives.

I'd been promising myself some staycation. Of course, that's always a bit of a joke, because by the time I do the laundry, catch up on some (not all!) of the errands and such, there seems to be so little time left. I did manage to make some, however. The more time I had to relax, the more I realized how much I needed it. Then I took a little more. I really do need to hire some help.

TCB, you still have Betzy, don't you?

The Trip to Bountiful is going well.  There are fewer people tonight than last night, and they're not too lively, so I can only hope that they're enjoying it.

And I am home from a long day.  It was wonderful to see everyone.  I'm sorry that DR Ginny and Richard abandoned us for another event, and that the coffee shop had to seat seven of us at two different tables, but I am honored that DRs Ben, FJL, Kevin H, JohnG, ChasSmith, vixmom, Ginny, and Richard came into the city to see the production.

We had a sound glitch tonight at Al's first entrance.  The gunshots before Mona says "Here he is now" didn't happen and Mylnda ad libbed something that attempted to cover the discussion about killing doormen.  That will not happen again.  Otherwise, the show played really well, although I think it played better this afternoon.

Just another part of the joy and terror of live theater!

We turned off FENCES.  It  may be a great play, however, we are not big fans of movies that are really plays.  It also might just be that the lead is such an unlikable person that we really didn't care to continue to listen to his ramblings.
