TOD:
Wow, I had to go to IMDB.com to discover that I've seen almost no Denzel Washington films at all, and he's done a ton and won two Oscars I knew nothing about. I've only seen:
Cry Freedom
Philadelphia
The Pelican Brief
All three were very good. I read the book, The Pelican Brief, because I read all John Grisham books and I enjoyed it very much.

I just checked my schedule for the recording next week. Oy! We're all over the map, 10:00-6 some days, Thursday 12:00-8:00.  Two of my Encores! friends are singing in the ensemble.

Haven't heard a peep from Sami's mom so have no idea when they're actually getting here - it was supposed to be between four and four-thirty.

Our river continues to rise.  The marker I check almost daily is up to 17.90 inches.  The bridge from Vancouver to Portland normally goes up once a day to permit a ship to go under the bridge.  The bridge has had to go up 3-5 times a day due to the rising waters.

Awhile back I put up a photo of the water at the end of our little marina.  The legs of the park bench were underwater, as were the legs of a little bench without a back rest.

The little bench is now completely under water and the dark stripe in the photo is the very top of the back of the larger bench.

It is entertaining, as long as we don't loose our walking path.  I would go bonkers if I could walk there.  The river is beautiful right now.

Sami and mom have come and gone.  Sami's doing Legally Blonde at her high school so we had a little work session - gave her a few notes, mostly to do with not rushing, making sure there were pauses for the jokes, and that kind of thing.  She's gonna be really cute in it - I see it next Friday.

That's a great picture, taken by a complete stranger.  People were crossing in front of us and she just suddenly snapped once and got that perfectly.

Intermission of War Paint. The actresses are special. The music is really solid. The production is gorgeous. The audience is eating it up.

I'm just not sure the book works. It all feels like Spark Notes or Cliff's Notes, outlines of two extraordinary and complex lives.

I'm so pleased at the turnout for the HHW NEW YORKERS reunion. And very pleased for our own DR Elmore! A big congrats! I feel quite excited, even though I couldn't be there.
