Well, you've read the notes, the notes were DA (Defiantly Articulate) and didn't turn into a DB (Dastardly Banana), and now it is time for you to post until the DADB (Diligently Altruistic, Dumb Beef) cows come home.

And the word of the day is: AUTARKY!

Here is the blurb for the new release.
Kritzerland is proud to present the world premiere CD release from the hit documentary film:
BETTING ON ZERO
Composed and Conducted by Pete Anthony
Betting on Zero, a 2017 documentary directed by Ted Braun and an official selection of the Tribeca Film Festival, pits two strong-willed antagonists against each other – a hedge fund manager on a moral crusade, and a nutrition company accused of being a massive international pyramid scheme. The film is hard-hitting, suspenseful, touching, frustrating, maddening, and powerful.
The Los Angeles Times raved, “… a timely, provocative and absorbing tale of money, power, and a search for the truth.” Indiewire said, “There should be a subgenre of documentaries solely defined by their capacity to incite righteous anger in the audience. Betting on Zero fits neatly in this category, causing the viewers’ blood pressure to rise ever higher as it makes its case in less than 100 minutes.” The film holds a 100% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is currently showing on Netflix, after a theatrical run earlier in the year.
Some of the best film music today is being written for documentaries, where the pressures of temp tracks and studio heads isn’t an issue. For Betting on Zero, the director turned to Pete Anthony, which turned out to be a completely inspired choice. Pete Anthony has orchestrated and conducted for some of the biggest composers in Hollywood, including Danny Elfman, James Newton Howard, Marc Shaiman, John Debney, John Powell, and many others, for such blockbusters as The Hunger Games, Maleficent, The Wolverine, King Kong, Elf, and a whole slew of other well known movies. His score for Betting on Zero shows him to be someone who completely understands film and what a score should do. His music underscores all the tension, heartbreak, and drama in a completely masterful way, with subtlety, emotion, and power. It’s simply a terrific score. It was recorded at Capitol Records with the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra.
This is the CD premiere for Betting on Zero.
Betting on Zero is limited to 500 copies only and is priced at $19.98, plus shipping. NOTE: The first 100 copies ordered will be signed by composer Pete Anthony.
CDs will ship by the second week of September, but we’ve actually been averaging three to five weeks early in terms of shipping ahead of the official ship date. To place an order, see the cover, or hear audio samples, just visit www.kritzerland.com.

DOG DAY AFTERNOON
THE MORNING AFTER
-
Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Good morning, all.

I found a two-disc copy of Dog Day Afternoon yesterday at Big Lots yesterday for $3. I grabbed it, The Shining and Raging Bull.
-
Good morning, all!

The fresh hell with NYMF continues: this morning I got an email that Backbeard's big number has been lowered from F to D. Why this could not have been decided two weeks ago or earlier - since they've been rehearsing for four weeks - is beyond me. The number needs to be rethought from scratch since it's now too low for what I 've written, and I don't have the time to rescore it, not on what NYMF alots for orchestrations.
-
So, I am going to work on the show. For the time being, I will ignore finishing this number until everything else is finished.
-
Good morning.
-
Speaking of weight loss (as you were last night), I have gotten myself into a situation where I will probably be videotaped next summer. Ugh. I have about thirty pounds to lose. Probably forty, for the camera.
-
T.O.D.
Impossible question.
Off-hand, I can't think of one film that Lumet directed that I didn't like.
-
Multi-talented Fred Frees is currently recording an audio version of my new novel, JACKIE GOES TO DIXIE.
I just heard his read of the 4th chapter and I am LOL.
We're planning for the book to be available for audio download sometime in September. In the meantime, you can read this "fish out of water" story in both paperback and Kindle editions via Amazon.

Good morning to all

BK
The Young Lawyers episode is on Youtube?
-
TOD
Looking at the following list they are very different in tone and style. I don't think there is another director that I liked who worked in so many different genres and styles.
12 Angry Men
Long Day's Journey Into Night
The Anderson Tapes
Murder on the Orient Express
Dog Day Afternoon
Network (But I wonder how much that has to with Paddy Chayefsky's script)
Garbo Talks
I have never seen these films but would like to
The Pawnbroker
Child's Play
Fail-Safe
Bye Bye Braverman (Sounds very interesting)
Major Disappointment
The Wiz
Deathtrap
Didn't work but a great try
Equus

Good morning, all.

TCB sez:
BK, so sorry that the clams were a mistake.
This desperately needs to be the title of something
-
Today I hope for a peaceful and productive day around the house.
Tonight I'm going to see a director friend's production of Hair. Believe it or not, I've only seen one stage production of Hair my entire life -- the Broadway revival in 2009 -- and that only happened because another friend who was crazy about it, and who apparently was not feeling any financial pain at the time, bought a bunch of us a block of tickets. My eardrums are still ringing from the amplification levels that evening. I expect to find this local production more enjoyable.
-
T.O.D.
Okay, I will agree that THE WIZ was a disappointment. Indeed, it was a disaster.
Like John Huston with ANNIE, Lumet was not the right director for a musical.
-
Wonderful to read BK's thoughts about his appearance on The Young Lawyers.
-
I'm up, I'm up, I've announced, I've announced, and will shortly go back to bed.
-
The Young Lawyers actually has no episodes on YouTube.

The Wiz is movie I like to listen to. I think Quincey Jones did wonders with the score. Visually, I think it's ugly.

Don't get me started on any of the Annie movies. Oy.

Let's move on.

Two!

My work laptop isn't working. So I can't. Irritating.

But the pain was more manageable this morning. Dare I hope it's progress?

Today is my farewell lunch at my favorite restaurant, followed by cake in the conference room for anyone and everyone who wish to ensure I am definitely leaving.

Excited....sort of.
Well, excited and scared.
Am I being silly?
-
BK: I sent a message to the address you left for Indiegogo members to use if they don't want the newest release.
I indicated I DO WANT the newest release, BUT I need to have it, and all future items, shipped to my new address.
I gave that new address in my e-mail.
-
Thursday morning greetings! Today's a stay-at-home day for me and I've already put boneless chicken breasts into a barbecue sauce marinade. We'll grill them for our dinner tonight and have some nice leftovers for sandwiches. I'm hoping to putter the rest of the day.

Don't get me started on any of the Annie movies. Oy.
I haven't seen the original movie in many, many years, and I absolutely WON'T see the remake (although I kind of enjoyed the TV version). I was in a local production about 23 years ago. I played seven, count 'em, SEVEN different characters (essentially just chorus costume changes) and it was a BLAST! We had a great run and everyone loved it! ;D

Back from lunch. It was a wonderful meal.
Next up, cake.

Congrats to DR Ron on the festivities, and the occasion!

I love being in ANNIE and working on it.....I hate CASTING ANNIE and dealing with the parents....

A police officer was killed in southern Indianapolis today when he responded to an accident....no details are being released as the circumstances are still being investigated....
-
Finished with a very long work session - so many put-togethers in this show - unbelievable, so all those had to have arrangements. Prior to that I had my first Freshly meal - veggie fried rice - kind of good and only 400 calories, the lowest calorie count of any of the meals so far. And now I shall attempt to jog. No packages today either.

Where's the dialogue within the song? Couldn't they get the rights to that?? And one of the comments below the video is, "Quite nice, but a juvenile performance compared to Esparza and Jonathon please dont close your eyes tight to show emotion." Yup!

Hello, Sister of Mine!

Are there any fans for either?
I still watch As Time Goes By fairly often.

Our own Sandy Bainum is performing nearby tomorrow night and Saturday night. I'm hoping to go to at least on of the shows.

I thought Esparza was horrible.
I didn't love him either. :-\
-
My number one note to any singer I work with - do NOT close your eyes. The eyes are everything and closing them to go into some private world is both selfish and shows a blatant disregard of the audience AND the song.
-
Back from a two-and-a-half mile jog. I thought I was going to expire on the street.
-
But I toughed it out.

re: losing weight. It makes sense to me that a 300 lb man exercising and dieting would have an easier time losing weight than someone half his size. He has so much more to lose.
Eating 1000 calories a day cannot be healthy. Do any health professionals actually advise doing that? I would say eat more fruits and vegetables and exercise more.

Everything that I've read and learned is that an average person shouldn't eat less than 1000 calories a day, not specifically only 1000 calories a day. To maintain a person's current weight, a man should eat about 12 calories per pound of weight per day for the weight that he wants to maintain. A woman should eat 10 calories per pound of weight per day. So, a person who weighs 300 pounds should, of course, eat fewer calories than what they've been eating that has maintained their weight, or they can add exercise to counteract that, or both. When I was losing weight with a weight-loss program 16 years ago, I averaged about 1200 calories a day and at first I did easily lose 5 pounds per week for quite a while.
-
And now, I'm leaving. I want to see Apple Tree Productions' production of The Addams Family: The Musical. Some of the kids who were in Hairspray with me are in this. :)
Be back later!

When the song was performed on Broadway in Sondheim on Sondheim, the voices buzzing in Bobby's head were there.

Well, dopey me! It turns out that the show started at 6 pm and not 7 pm, like I thought. Maybe I can see it on Saturday...or not. We'll see. So, I'm now at McMenanins The Spar having dinner and reading my Kindle.
Until later...again. ;)
-
Are there any fans for either?
Surprisingly I have never seen either.
-
Finished Bharathi Mukerjee's Leave It to Me, retelling of the Electra story. Don't need to go there again.
-
And now I'm unwinding to the Hamilton Mixtape. Why? I do not know.
It's not bad. It's just not to my taste.
-
Snoozed for a while after watching the bonus material on By Sidney Lumet, then watched two Hitchcock hours, and now I'm finished with my viewing and listening to Miaskovsky. I can't tell you which symphony I'm up to because they're completely out of order - so, since I'll want to hear all of them again my next go-through will be in symphony order. There are some very Herrmann-like moments in these symphonies.
-
Page four? Really?
-
REALLY?
-
Listening to the final Miaskovsky symphony, number 27, but after that I still have about eight or nine symphonies to go, including three more of the very early ones. I'm going to enjoy listening in chronological order next time.
-
Guess I'll put the motor car in the garage.
-
Good evening!

DR TCB as one who tends to have low blood pressure, that was scary low.
I was scared when they told me.

-
I guess I should have taken a nap yesterday when I got home from my procedure.
-
I slept on and off in my chair most of the day.
-
I should have worked on the book, but I was just too tired.
-
Watching AS TIME GOES BY!!!
Great show 😊
-
Next FATHER BROWN!!!
We watch the show.
-
This afternoon I watched HIS GIRL FRIDAY and I kept nodding off.
-
So, I kept having to go back and pick up the parts that I missed.
-
We had a wonderful afternoon and evening with Craig.
-
I did go to the store, but that was the extent of my activities.
-
However, I did forget to go by and buy Nicky some new catnip.
-
He gave me a dirty look when I failed to provide him with catnip.
-
Didn't quite finish symphony 27 because the disc was defective - clicking and digital noise - so back the set goes and they'll send a replacement. I looked at the CD and indeed it was loaded with scratches.
-
Tomorrow I have to get busy and run errands.
-
Laundry is the first priority.
-
Then chores around the house.
-
And this weekend, I have to get busy and shred all of the papers on my desk.
-
I just heard what sounded like a gun shot
-
Probably a firecracker, although it didn't sound like one.
-
DR TCB as one who tends to have low blood pressure, that was scary low.

I can't imagine it being that low! :o
