HA!
Well it was the same Emergency Room experience that we have all had. Doctor kept talking in a loud voice while my Mom was saying she couldn't breathe. They gave her oxygen, took an x-ray....he said we've found a mass on her heart and lungs....this could all move very quickly....call the other family members....
Then they took a cat scan....mass wasn't there....shadow on the x-ray....doctor told us she was going to die any minute.....
Then he put a mask on her to lower the carbon dioxide levels or whatever that is.
She woke up and was talking, etc. he said he wanted to send her to the OTHER hospital the one where I had my surgery.
Eventually the ambulance arrived....my sister rode up with her. She is much improved this morning and is having an EKG... Possible bronchitis and she may have had a heart attack in the last few days.... WTH!
So of course I have to start my prep so I am stuck at home....we shall see....but it looks much better today that yesterday. Time will tell.
Today is Dad's 90th birthday.

Happy 90th birthday to DR John G's father!
I must be careful typing on very little sleep. The previous health vibes came out for Jrand's motel.
Annabelle and Thatch jumped about, danced, and sang when I decided to get out of bed. They say it's because I'm not dead and can feed them this afternoon.

Being uncultured as we are , we were underwhelmed by the 2 offerings... One which we dubbed the artist of moderate talented and limited imagination
and the second incomprehensible Japanese warehouse stuff
At our guests request we went to The Transist Museum in Brooklyn
I’d guess that was the transit museum I went through some 15-20 years ago. Probably nicer and more extensive now. I do love that stuff.
Re the Amory Ames books, I always prefer to start at the beginning of a series, in part because I like to see how the author introduces the characters and sets everything up. The first is MURDER AT THE BRIGHTWELL. You wouldn't have to start there, of course, but there is a subplot with Amory and her husband that continues throughout the series. I'm enjoying the subplot, too.
Been busier than the proverbial one-armed paperhanger today, prepping things for the painter who MAY or MAY NOT be here tomorrow. But one must be prepared, mustn't one.
Jane, my acupuncturist will be out of town for a couple weeks so I won't be able to try the CBD oil until she returns. I'll definitely provide a full report.
Travel vibes to Jane and Keith. No more smelly, malfunctioning autos!

And here's the birthday boy.
Today, I have a union meeting. We're meeting because the library is going to do a classification and compensation study this year. The supervisors and the base unit will meet and discuss mutual interests and concerns.
So far, the thunder, lightning, and heavy rain has bypassed Tacoma.
After the meeting, I'm going to a retirement party for a friend. It's not a regular work retirement party, though. My friend Stephanie, who was the music director for Cinder Edna is retiring from music directing...at least, she says she's retiring. It could be just a break.

When we picked up our car rental it was dirty and smelled like cigarettes. I wish we had exchanged it right then as we had to do just that this morning. There were a few mechanical issues and we did not feel comfortable driving to Chicago.
Just lost a precious hour and a half with Bryan.
I could not sleep last night. I maybe got three hours sleep, total.

Thank you. The new car drives better, and is cleaner.
DR Goerge for dinner we had impossible burgers, except for our DIL who had a meat burger. It was served on a pretzel bun.
I enjoyed it.

Cool! I won't specifically go to the local restaurant here just to get one, but if I happen to go there, I'll probably get one again.

Are you becoming a vegetarian?
