Well, you've read the notes, the notes plotzed, and now it is time for you to post until the plotzing cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BREVITY!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
First post after BK.
-
To continue from last night, because they have The Good Humor Men (three guys who do clean/family friendly comedy), they're going to have three female comics. I don't know if the women will be family friendly. The Center doesn't know who they'll be because the women will be part of a comedy competition.
-
My iPad is out of charge, so good night.
-
There will be a group of stunt dogs. I don't know which group.
-
My iPad is out of charge, so good night.
Good night, Tom.
-
They're bringing back Menopause: The Musical.
-
How is Her Majesty tonight, George? Give her a cuddle from me and for you, too, if you need one.
-
Now, I shall retire to my chamber for a night's rest.
-
How is Her Majesty tonight, George? Give her a cuddle from me and for you, too, if you need one.
Thanks, jan. She's all over me. :)

Now, I shall retire to my chamber for a night's rest.
Good night, jan.

There are a few other shows that are coming to the Washington Center for the Performing Arts (one is the singer Meow Meow (https://meowmeowrevolution.com/)), but the final group coming will be The Temptations!
-
And there's a show about them on Broadway right now!
-
Well, that's most of the WCPA's next season. Anyone wanna come to Olympia and see something?? ;)
-
And on that note (B-flat), I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
George - Thanks for your post on the video.

The notes title brings to mind that Mad Magazine "sequels we'd like to see"

Good morning, all!
-
I must leave for my podiatrist appointment around 8:45, so I set the alarm for 6:00 this morning.
-
It was a maladroit decision to take down Stella's cage yesterday: she ran rampant from 10:00 when the lights went out till after midnight. She climbed all over me, wrestled with Thatch and cried loudly when he pinned her down. Annabelle retired to her aerie in the bookcases and Thatch finally settled in the cat tree. Stella then spent midnight to 2:15 or so climbing all over me. She finally nestled in the crook of my arm and slept. At some point after that Thatch crawled into bed with us.
-
On my way home from the doctor, I will stop at Pildes Optical and see what a good price I can get on my new glasses.
http://pildesoptical.net
-
And when I get home, I will probably curl up with Thatch and take a nap.
-
DR TCB, Nicky will adjust. I think he's unhappy that he can't find anything familiar in his new environment.
-
At least, he won't until you are unpacked.
-
Annabelle and I have made our patrol and I need to get some breakfast and take my morning meds.
-
T.O.D.
Probably on a cruise.
Food is everywhere on cruises, and one wants to get their money's worth.
-
Good morning, all.
-
What a dark day it is out there! It rained yesterday afternoon and through the night and it's still trying to come to an end.
-
Big belated congrats to TCB on his successful move!
-
Hey TCB, did you ever find the video of your Mr. Maraczek? I think you said way back when that it might never be found, but one always hopes.
-
TOD:
Hard to say. I'm a big eater in general, which is something I try to control. Sometimes. But I'm absolutely out of control in buffet situations, so a few of my record breaking achievements have to have taken place in such venues.
Okay, wait, it isn't at all hard to say. By definition, the winners are the two or three times I actually ate myself into being sick later. I always recall one in particular, and I'll think of the other one(s) sooner or later. That one time, I had stuffed myself with snacks in the car on my way to a friend's place that was over an hour away, followed by eating a lot there (partially out of politeness, and we probably had a couple of drinks which made even more food go down easily), followed by inexplicably stuffing myself again later on the hour-long drive home. In bed that night, I still had an extremely uncomfortable overstuffed feeling, and before long I was in the bathroom praying to the porcelain god. This was pure self-inflicted misery, and there's no discernible explanation for it.
After typing that, I still don't recall other times, but there were indeed a couple.
-
So tonight we're back in the saddle with Disaster!
I shall take a quick look through the book to make sure there's nothing I was supposed to remember or tweak or whatever, then once again it'll be time to pack and load everything into the car. This time, at least, the gear will stay there for the next two weeks.
We have tech/dress rehearsals tonight through Thursday, then Friday off, and shows on Saturday and Sunday. Final dress rehearsal applies to the band, too, as we'll be onstage wearing frilly colored tux shirts.
The Friday off thing is so weird, but that's what the two major theaters in that part of the state have done for years. I've never encountered it elsewhere. Friday is dark and Saturday night is the opening. So, on the first weekend there are only two performances, and a regular three on the following weekend of the two-week run. I have no explanation for this.

Does anybody know is actor Jon Cypher is still with us?
If so, what's he doing?
(I knew Jon back in the day.)
Checked the imdb, and find no DOD, yet he has no credits after 2001.

TOD:
Every damn day.
-
Today for example is the Cancer Survivor Ice Cream Social at my local St. Francis hospital....where I had all of my radiation and chemotherapy treatments and where my surgeon and oncologist have offices.....so I AM THERE.
Two of my sisters and I are going....there will be Ice Cream Eaten.
-
As well there should be, DR Jrand68! :)

Good morning to all

DISASTER vibes for DR CHAS SMITH.
I can use those any old time, sir. :D

Looks like he had an accident playing Fagin in Pittsburgh CLO a few years back and still needs the cane.
-
I've returned to work full time because it turns out I did not have long term disability.
When I'm not at the job I've been working on the rewrites for my play which has its reading on Monday. Another rehearsal tomorrow.
Because it's under an Equity contract we are limited to the number of hours we can rehearse. The actor can only do 29 hours including the performance.
It has been interesting to see where it was a year ago and the current draft.
There will be a workshop this summer and another reading in NYC in December is planned.
-
Here we are:
DISASTER!
-
Best of luck on all of it, DR Michael.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Turns out I have to get the catalytic converter replaced on the car. Ugh.
-
Best of luck on all of it, DR Michael.
And more vibes.
-
Turns out I have to get the catalytic converter replaced on the car. Ugh.
UGH!
Sorry to hear it, DR John G.
I was threatened with that a couple of years ago, then another shop said I needed a hose fitting or something replaced, and the engine-reporting problems disappeared immediately thereafter (still knocking wood).
-
I have too many tales for the TOD. One of my favorites was the day in which I went to eight barbecue joints in one day. It was in southeastern Texas near the Louisiana border. During that time, I visited my favorite barbecue place in the state, Killen’s, and had a massive beef rib with espresso sauce. At the end of the day, I had eaten so much I was sore. But I still had the barbecue crabs place to visit. They set a plate of six large crabs in front of me. It was so good, I polished off the whole plate.
-
Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a winner.
-
I do not know Jon Cypher....but the name is famliar.....
He was Julie Andrews' Prince in the 1956 Cinderella. I saw him in Man of La Mancha as Dr Carrasco, and I believe he was one of the three possible fathers of Mrs Campbell's daughter in the Alan Jay Lerner-Burton Lane Carmelina.
-
I did not get to the podiatrist, thanks to the screwed up MTA buses. At 57th and Fifth, I called my HMO, told them there was no way I'd be there close to my time, and rescheduled for next Monday. I then stopped at Pildes and they told me my glasses - with insurance - would cost me $700+ which I refused to pay. When they got it down to $511.00 I purchased them. I need to talk to my HMO.
-
Tuesday morning greetings! The temperature has cooled and the humidity has dropped, so we have our windows open and it's lovely. This won't last, I know, but we're enjoying the fresh air while we can.
-
DR Elmore, is traffic still impacted by yesterday's helicopter disaster?
-
Glad to see DR TCB back on the grid!

I watched a bunch of Tony clips. Sergio Trujillo gave the most moving speech of the evening and I bet it wasn’t even shown on TV.
https://youtu.be/A3KcAYA0lVk
-
The camera work on the nominated musicals was terrible. The 360-degree pan on Oklahoma! was irritating. The whole Hadestown number was awful. I liked the modern dance moves on Ain’t it Too Proud.
-
I am glad Nicky is handling the move a bit better.
-
DR Michael vibes you feel ok working full time.
-
We are on the Starlight train heading home. This train is comfortable, seats and the temperature. We are much happier than the trip out.
-
Oh, and the seats that don't hurt my back also recline 😊
-
I need to stop posting as I am getting motion sickness.
-
DR Elmore, is traffic still impacted by yesterday's helicopter disaster?
I don't know, but I doubt it. The incident happened on Seventh Avenue and I was going down Fifth. Traffic seemed fine.

Is there a Costco you can get to? My glasses used to run me between 600 - 800 and once I started going to Costco I never paid more than 250. And that is with progressive lenses, titanium frames, astimatism, prisms, ground down to be extra slim, scratch resistant and that technology that makes dark outside
If you can't get to a Costco let me know and I'll come get you and bring you to mine once this blasted wedding is over ( if you can wait until late July )
-
Speaking of blasted weddings the Vixters is coming up fast
-
We leave for Florida in 9 days and I am woefully unprepared
-
The wedding itself is in 18 days

So sorry I've not been around but I've been emailing, textin, messaging and calling people left right and center

Just finishing up lunch

We leave for Florida in 9 days and I am woefully unprepared
So are we. I haven’t received my invite yet. I’m going to file a complaint with PayPal.

Another day of rush and go nowhere.

I'm up, I'm up - a bit over eight hours of sleep.

Is everything organized?

This answers my question.

Wow! I didn't know Jon had had that accident.
Actually, I first met Jon via Howard Keel, my former publicity client.
Howard was about to do I DO! I DO! on stage, and he asked if I could arrange a screening of THE FOURPOSTER (w/ Rex Harrison & Lilli Palmer) for him. I called my contacts at Columbia, and set it up.
Since I'd never seen the picture before, I also went to the screening. Cypher, a friend of Howard's, was also there.
Some time later, my 1st wife and I were going to marriage counseling (Obviously, it didn't work.), and the therapist brought in Cypher, who was a therapist in training. We recognized each other, which made it rather amusing for the ensuing sessions.
After that, I guess Jon's career took off. He did films, "Hill Street Blues," etc., and (I assume) he gave up on being a therapist.

I do not know of a Costco in Manhattan and the moment has passed. The glasses are paid for. I do appreciate your generous offer.

Well, Stella and Thatch both rejected tonight's dinner, so I guess I will not purchase Fancy Feast Salmon & Shrimp again.

We went out to do some errands and I pumped gas into my new car for the first time. The tank opening is on the passenger side, which is opposite to where it was on my former car. It’ll take some getting used to.

Just look at the direction the arrow is pointing to know which side your gas tank is on.

Yes, DR Jane, that arrow is helpful. I just find it more difficult to pull up to the pump.

It is 94 degrees today.

Watching a charming film from Varda called Le Bonheur, or Happiness. For the main character, it means having a gorgeous wife, kids and life and then have a gorgeous mistress on the side. Everybody seems to be happy. The music is Mozart, the colors are playful and bold, the bodies are beautiful. I've got 20 minutes left and there's been nothing but sunshine and, well, happiness. I'm not waiting for a plot.

We got a little more rain today. The plants are happy and the temperature has been in the 70s and low 80s. Tomorrow it gets back up to 92.

I burned my thigh . I was wearing shorts and resting my laptop on my lap and it got hot so gradually that I was like the proverbial frog in a pot of slowly heating water;by time I realized how hot it had gotten I was already cooked

I did get some things done after work
-
Picked up my heart meds refill

Did my cleanup at church

Went to staples and bought a package of clear printable lables and one of those memory stick things you use to save stuff on your phi e

I gave birth the old fashioned way...but it sure seemed like a party , seemed every person wandering down the hallway would pop in and without even acknowledging my existence, whip up the sheet and take a gander at the goings on
-
I finally shouted "are you selling tickets?!" and I threw everybody out of the room except Vixdad, my OB and two nurses
-
I also missed out on having my hair and makeup professionally done
-
Not that anyone was looking at that end anyway
-
Time to hit the sack.
What did that poor defenseless sack ever do to you?
-
I managed to arrange a paintnite party in Florida for the Thursday night before the wedding, Vixter and 4 of her bridesmaids ( 2 of them won't be flying down from NY until Friday) my best friend since I was 14, Shelly is like a sister and her youngest daughter who was married in Apri and I will have a night with out
-
We'll have a private party with a painting we chose, wine tasting and we are able to bring in food and decorations
-
We weren't able to have a shower so at last we'll have this little celebration
-
Vixters soon to be MIL won't be in town yet either
-
Friday night is the rehearsal and now we are also hosting a rehearsal dinner
-
Apparently the grooms family understands their contribution to be guests
-
Lots and lots of guests
-
Elmore I am sorry I didn't know about the glasses earlIer
-
TCB I hop ou are settling in nicely
-
I downloaded a template from the interwebs while branding myself and made little lables to affix to the small wine bottles were sure giving as wedding favors
-
Dang I still have to go online and make hotel reservations for our drive down
-
Ok. See you later
-
I still want to hear about Jane's night with William Shatner
-
:-X
-
That didn't come out right
-
I was wondering if you knew something we didn't.
-
How big is the burn on your leg?
-
Aloe vera!
-
What a sneaky, underhanded little movie that was. The last 20 minutes were so faux naive and subversive that I can't quite take it all in. By being so bland and normal about everything, it is quite the shocker. Happiness, indeed. Who's idea of happiness? Who gets to have the idea? And how does that affect everyone else? Does the man because he's the man?
-
Good night, all.
-
Nice video DR CHAS SMITH.
How was William Shatner DR JANE?
Excellent thank you.. Shatner is interesting and entertaining.
He did need to read the first part of the program which was fine. The second portion was with the moderator with questions and answers.

Having two cars with tanks on opposites sides could cause forgettfulness Have only one car makes it easier.

-
Much better than finding us on page 4, or worse page 3, at this time of night.
-
Why is the bride’s family hosting the rehearsal dinner? I thought that was expected to be hosted by the groom’s family.
-
Hey, Moving Man, how ya doin? All unpacked? Nicky adlusted?
-
It isn’t like you are local, and they just flying in for the ceremony. You are both out of towners.
-
I certainly hope the groom is nicer than his family, because I am not liking them very much.
-
Please don’t seat me with the groom’s family.
-
Hi, Tom and jan.
-
Back from a pretty damn good show. Everyone pulled it together, it was smooth as can be, most of the patter worked great - it's a whole different vibe doing this in a theater and so some of the initial patter didn't land as I like it, so I'm switching that up for tomorrow - I had three things to choose from - I chose one that had worked great at the Kritzerland show, but I think that's because our audiences know me so well - here I was playing to strangers who don't know what Kritzerland is. But about halfway through the opening patter things clicked and we were off and running.
-
Hi, George, what's shakin?
-
Second day of streaming TV, and I have already had my first “Network Error”. I am missing Stephen Colbert’s monologue and I guess I have to blame Bryan Cranston.

Don't worry, Tom. It'll be on YouTube pretty quickly.

Hi, George, what's shakin?
Not much at all, jan. I'm just lounging in my bed, watching TV. ;D

Last evening, I thought we were over the biggest hurdle, but once I turned the lights out, he started crying and yowling........ Again

I don't know what you're talking about, jan. ::)

I got so frustrated that in the middle of the night I leaned down into Nicky’s face and shouted, “Shut the f—- up!”

Who is your future husband?
-
Jon Meacham and Tim McGraw just wrote a book together about early patrotic songs, and they're both on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

I wonder when the notes will go up?
Good question.
-
Yeah, what's with BK, he's getting later and later?
-
He keeps going out and doing theater. He is as bad as George.
-
Well, I am off, hopefully to dreamland.
-
Well, it's late so I will say Bon Nuit, Mes Amis.
-
Good night, children.

Good night, Tom.

PAGE EIGHT DANCE!!

AT LAST MY PHONE IS COMPLETE AGAIN!! :D
-
I bought some replacement ear speakers for my phone to see if that would fix the speaker problem (when I replaced my cracked cell phone screen, the ear speaker no longer worked).
-
The new replacements arrived last week and tonight I took my phone apart and first decided to adjust the original speaker again.
-
I reassembled my phone and the ear speaker works!
-
;D
-
I didn't have to use one of the new ear speakers that I just bought. ::)
-
I bought five ear speakers in one lot for the princely sum of $7.64...including tax with free shipping!
-
So, I'll hang on to them in case I'll ever actually need them.
-
Well, I need to get some sleep.
Have a good day, all!
-
My dog woke me up about an hour ago had to go to the bathroom. And now I can’t go back to sleep. And surprise to see that the new page notes are not up yet. Oh well
-
Wow, I do believe I forgot to write some notes.
