What movie do you strongly dislike, that apparently every other person in the entire free world (plus Latvia) simply loves?
Sometime this coming week, I am going to lose the use of my computer for approximately two (2) weeks.
:'( :'( :'(
I have been informed that my Mac model has a major problem that can only be repaired by shipping the computer direct to Mac headquarters.
>:( >:( >:(
I have an older model Mac that might give me some internet access, but I won’t be able to send or receive e-mail from it, and I’m not sure how well I will do with it on this site or Facebook.
Pippin vibes for DR CHAS SMITH.

Bummer. Will you write during those two weeks?
Watching Phantom of the Paradise. Fun stuff. Next up, Hunchback II.

Now, I have started the ball rolling, so don’t say you have nothing to talk about.
TCB, you didn’t answer your own TOD.
I've seen SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS 2-3 times, but not for many years.
When it first came out, I was 20-years-old, and it did have an emotional effect on me.
I don't know how I'd feel about it if I watched it again today.
And good news for gin lovers. Have a cocktail and save the environment.

TCB Question of the Day:
The Lion King
Doctor Zhivago

It's great to be able to see the bright side!
I was never conditioned for it. Until this cyberstalking thing started so suddenly by (I'll disguise the names) Bonkers' videographer Mr. Jonathan Crank in Feb 2011, started 2007 still there in 2018, I never had the kind of adversity to have to stand up for anything of much importance, so never got conditioned to look for a bright side in an undeserved bad situation. I certainly never was used to lawyers like their Elliot Brown that just flat-out lie, but try suing a law firm. They seem to say that if you protest what their client does illegally even a peep louder than the violator wants, then you (the retaliation victim) are the bully. It's very Trumpian, very blame the victim, don't answer why or if your client did it - say what's wrong with their victim.

DR Druxy, can you occasionally post using your phone or a tablet?

Enjoy Skip's songs. Otherwise, remember that it was all very quickly aged down to pre-school. I'm not sure what to make of Quasi wanting his own appearance to be overlooked, but he falls for the most beautiful lady in town.
It feels like people onstage who are overweight asking for fairness in equal casting on stage or screen for overweight people, yet the person they are married to and fell for is in great shape - so that's what they favor and maybe don't get that viewers might feel that way to with who they see onstage.
I'm quite sore.

At the time it was released "Blow-Up".
"Titanic" I didn't hate it until the ending. Up until they it was kind of ok.

The special effects in Titanic were so laughably awful (I remember some propeller looking small next to the people) that I couldn’t even enjoy the last half.
And that theme song. Gag.
No wonder. I just looked it up and the full book is 1,246 pages. That's longer than War and Peace.
I've started the movie Grace, directed by Neil Jordan and starring Isabelle Hubert. It's been sitting here for a couple of weeks. Kinda creepy opening. I like it.

Do you mean GRETA?
It doesn't look like something I would enjoy.
Elmore's friend, Stephen Rea, has a nice scene in Greta. But it is a gruesome little movie.

Maybe it needs an upbeat closing song? ("Something Greater" is never going to work for APPLAUSE in this new modern environment - maybe they'd let it go elsewhere.)
That's something, Greta!
Something, Greta!
It's fine but it's not for me.
or maybe not.

And if that doesn’t grab you, try it in reverse... a movie you love that everyone else strongly dislikes.

As Good As It Gets :P
I've never been able to find ANY proper mention of this, but I found it this evening. So, now I have a date, although another listing on the same site has a second date - I suspect maybe a rerun?
June 8, 1972 episode 171
Merv's guests are actor William Holden talks about his African Conservation Ranch, producer Martin Rackin explains how he began a career of reporting with the New York Daily News, comedian Dom DeLuise discusses his latest film "Every Crook and Nanny", singer-dancer Lola Falana, comic Chip Hand, actor-writer-director-composer Bruce Kimmel and Valerie Gillet.
Now, someone find me this damn thing, seriously.
I don't know where my sister got it, but this image is pretty close to what it looks like.
Had a telephonic conversation and watched a motion picture. After the walk, my calorie intake is probably less than 500 but I don't really have anything here to eat (crackers), and I don't think I'm up to walking anywhere or, in fact, sitting anywhere.

Well, that's okay, too.

I have literally a couple of minutes to spend here this morning with preparing for the final performance of PIPPIN -- which, by the bye, is to be attended by a Mr. Schwartz, not that has anything to do with it.
So did I survive my first PIPPIN last night? I did, and I can only hope PIPPIN survived me. Today should be fun, and I shall at least briefly attend the cast partay afterward.

My niece LOVED that movie! She saw it in the theaters 21, count 'em, TWENTY-ONE times! AND paid for ME to take her four of those times! :o
Then, although I wasn't intending to walk today, it was almost three miles back to the home environment. Thankfully, I'd turned on the air before I left so it's nice and cool, which is good because I am disgustingly hot and sweaty. Send lots of excellent vibes and xylophones for the problem to be fixable and not too much dough.

That was for the movie, not the song, which I kind of like.
They even did a female cover version (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZQodZXSdyw) of their own cover version!
I must say good night and get to sleep.
