Happy Birthday to my Washington brother, George! May this year be happy and profitable!
Huge GETTING THROUGH THIS vibes for vixmom and the mom of vixmom!
Strange, but I would think it would be more grammatical to ask, Where the hell are the Ghost and Mrs. Muir.

Don’t get me started on revival houses. Sometimes they could be like a home away from home.
I was only in the Carnegie Hall Cinema once, on an early ‘70s visit to NYC, for what I believe was my second ever serious viewing of Citizen Kane.
I dunno, though, seems like there was something else seen there. Or maybe that was a double feature.
Is the Thalia the one in Annie Hall?

I cannot remember now where I first saw Citizen Kane. Maybe it was the Carnegie Hall Cinema.
It was an early one for me because at six in the a.m. Nathan had to fire off his “bird banger” (I think that’s what it’s called — it’s an exterminator’s thing) at a BEAR that had just knocked down every bird feeder. They hightail it out of there when you do that, no question. One just wishes they’d hightail it back to the damned wilderness. But one wishes a lot of things, doesn’t one.
Stella has twice this morning attacked a role of toilet paper. I am at a loss on how to stop this.
Gratuitous cute kitten post!

Curiously, too, rather than sleeping in her bookcase aerie last night, Annabelle slept next to my pillow. I had all three cats in bed with me.

I suggest keeping your toilet paper in a paper holder or box behind the toilet.

You're assuming my toilet has a water basin behind it.

This afternoon I was able to watch over a video chat my grandson playing with a popper. I'm glad it's at their house and not mine.
Jane, Vixmom, and Ginny will all understand that.
Is this why Trump wanted his signature on the stimulus checks? Surely not!
I spent the day doing laundry, grocery shopping, and other mundane things. Allergies are draining me.
Thanks, Tom! :DHappy Birthday,
DR George!
Happy Cinco de Mayonnaise, to one and all.

DR vixmom, I am so sorry you had a bad day yesterday. I can only wish you a better one today and the rest of the week.

Happiest of Birthdays to you, DR George!
Happy birthday, George!
When I first lived in Manhattan, there were still movie revival houses. The Thalia was a block from my first NY apartment, and I spent many hours there. Since I only lived in my first apartment between Dec. 1, 1979 and July 15, 1980, it was in that period that the Thalia had a one-day run of The First Nudie Musical. Since my workplace, The Drama Book Shop, stocked the soundtrack recording of The First Nudie Musical, my best friend and co-worker Thom Heinrichs - wonderful composer and, briefly, boyfriend of Mr Sondheim's - went to see it after work and laughed ourselves silly. There was a second feature we did not stay to see. We went to our homes, but I loved the movie so much that I went back later to catch the final showing.
The next day I raved about the movie and exclaimed, I want to work with Bruce Kimmel! Well, thirteen years later I did.
Happiest of birthdays to DR GEORGE!

BK:
You know what would be great? A book of the music from FIRST NUDIE and CREATURE, like the one you did with the songs from WELCOME TO MY WORLD.
Damn, that would be great. :)
Tonight's feature is Beauties of the Night, a Rene Clair musical about a young, penniless composer who dreams of being rich and surrounded by beauties,, one of whom is a young Gina Lollobrigida.
DR George, the rescue group Puppykittynycity posted this today for Cincodemeow!

That sounds like a G-rated version of The Butler's Song.

We're having tacos in hour of George's birthday!
Hope it's been a happy birthday and continues that way!
Danny Peary, author of the Cult Movies books, just wished us Happy Anniversary. He loves the film and it's because he included us in volume two that we got such a huge cult.
Happy Birthday, George!
Back from the drive. Very warm for May. Tomorrow: 100 degrees.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to DR GEORGE!
I hope you had a great day!
Some sickos here in Washington are attending CoVid-19 parties. People who are free from the virus go to parties with positive people to see whether or not they will catch the virus.
