Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of Kritzerland at Home 111, and now it is time for you to post until the 111 cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: IRREFUTABLE!
-
Topic of the Day:
All of them...seriously. But especially High Time sung by Daniel, and Klea's song. :D
-
Have a good day, all!
-
TOD: I'd have to say Liz C (always), "Winter Was Warm," and Mr. Yacko's "Turkey Lurkey."

~~~ULTRA-STRENGTH MIRACLE VIBES~~~ for bk!
Good morning, all!
Again I had several strange dreams I was sure I would remember and didn't, but I did remember this fragment of one: Annabelle and I were riding in one of those rickshaw-cabs, which the driver pedals like a bike, and we were going to a pet store to exchange a treat or cat food she didn't like. Qw were on some main street and our driver had slowed traffic - behind us were a car, a huge semi that wanted to speed along, and God knows what behind that - and horns were honking like mad.
-
DR vixmom, there was a Coney Island in Cincinnati, Ohio, on the banks of the Ohio River. I used to beg my parents to take us there, but we never went. Like you, I have never been to the one in New York either.
-
Kerry and Adrienne can do no wrong in my book. "Winter Was Warm" made me cry, and "White Christmas" was the perfect closer. Adrienne's Christmas-Hanukka song was wpmderful, but she can sing anything.
-
I liked Hartley's "Hard Candy Christmas" very much, but to me all those "maybe I'll"s still make it seem like a group number.
-
Daniel's "High Time" was a wonderful tongue twister, and I have to listen again to catch more lyrics. Whenever I see him, I wish you would give him Craig Carnelia's wonderful "Cowboy Waltz."
-
Today would have been my Dad's 99th birthday. If he hadn't been such a fool about his health and seen a doctor regularly instead of one at the VA Hospitals whenever he was really sick, I believe he would still be alive. His grandmother lived to be 104. He was a great believer in our government, and I will go to my grave convinced the Veterans Administration lousy administration and apathy killed him.
I love you much, Dad, and miss you enormously.
After a weekend of Rethuglican MAGA violence - it's time to drag that Fat Orange Slug out of the Oval Office and into a cell - I will be very happy when this Electoral College nonsense confirms Biden-Harris today.
-
<<<hugs>>> to you today, DR elmore3003!
and speaking of MAGAts, pronounced maggots,
<<<hugs>>> to you today, DR elmore3003!
Thank you, DR singdaw.
We may have snow today. It's very gray outside.
-
Kitty cleanup is finished and I am on my second cuppa coffee.
-
Yesterday was a nice day.
My son, David, came over for a Thanksgiving dinner.
Yes, it was almost a month late...but he had Covid on Thanksgiving day.
-
This poor baby! I wish I had extra money to give to Dallas Dog Rescue Rehab Reform.
I've been giving Annabelle Lysine in every meal, and it's really helping her. She seems back to her old self, leaping everywhere and leaving disaster in her trail. She just climbed to the top of the fridge and knocked things onto the stove and then to the floor with a lot of clatter. I'm very pleased.
-
Yes.
-
Monday.....snow predicted for Wednesday.....and then it's headed for the East Coast.....so look out!
-
The Kritzerland show was MUCH fun.
In addition to the numbers I mentioned last night.....I liked Sleigh Ride......but everything was fun!
-
Good morning!
-
An oldie, but goodie.
-
A friend of mine on FB wrote that Dr Pepper will now be known as Mr Pepper.
-
Monday morning greetings! I missed the Kritzerland show last night because it conflicted with the live stream of Lessons and Carols from Rob and Mary Linda's church in Illinois. Since that was not recorded and Kritzerland was I'll catch the K show today. It sounds like just what I need.
-
It gets you in the Holiday Mood for sure DR GINNY.
-
Mr. Pepper......LOL DR singdaw.
-
Just some things that are happening:
There are some very big things on the horizon, and thanks to the new moon and solar eclipse in enthusiastic Sagittarius today, you cannot wait to take the first step on a brand-new, mind-expanding journey. The Archer doesn’t feel the need to make plans, and under this fiery influence, your spontaneity level will soar to new heights.
You suddenly have a brighter view of what’s to come, and you can’t wait to get out into the world and explore what’s out there! Of course, acting too quickly can cause some negative consequences, but this forward-thinking new moon and solar eclipse has you focused on the big picture rather than the nitpicky
It gets you in the Holiday Mood for sure DR GINNY.
It's gotta be better than the mood I'm in, DR JRand...
-
We may have snow today. It's very gray outside.
Here, too, DR Elmore. We're supposed to get 1-3 inches of snow on Wednesday.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I logged on to 160 emails this morning. I pared it down to 140 or so, but new emails have come in. No time to work.
-
Good morning, all.
Tell them to stop that.
Once when I was performing with a choral ensemble on a run-out tour, we were all waiting in the green room.
Our manager was named Gay [something or other].
The venue manager walked into the green room and said, "OK, who here is Gay?"
-
In her defense, it was probably 35 or 40 years ago now. :P
-
"Be a Santa" was a perfect rendition and opener, even if I'll forever hear the imperfection that DR Elmore pointed out. :)
"Turkey Lurkey" -- I love off-the-wall treatments like that, and Yacko's got the character chops to pull it off.
"I've Got the Sun in the Morning" blew me away because Ms. O'Malley made me believe I was hearing the song for the first time.
But ... impossible to name favorites when every song is a winner. The guests artists were a special treat.
-
Ho, Ho, Ho!
Who are you calling a ho?
-
A friend of mine on FB wrote that Dr Pepper will now be known as Mr Pepper.
Ha!
-
Kerry O’Malley was sheer perfection last night. Adrienne was a close second. Loved Liz L. and Sal, Liz C and Klea. Cheers for Daniel, Peyton, Sami, Robert and more.
-
SNOW.
By Irving Berlin.
From where I sit, it’s a lot of things converging today.
Well, this just put a smile on my face. No wonder the Fat Orange Slug is so desperate to keep that presidential immunity for as long as possible.
Good Afternoon - Nothing much is happening today. Counting the days until Friday and the beginning of Christmas Break. The boys and I love the Kritzerland Program last night. Hard to chose a favorite part. It's always great to see/hear Liz Callaway sing.
-
Is this what you use for her breathing issues? If not, what do you use that helps? Craig's old cat is having mild issues.
This sounds exciting. Maybe it means Bryan will get vaccinated and I can relax a little. And a brand-new, mind-expanding journey means we will soon be able to go to Chicago.
I must not forget "acting too quickly can cause some negative consequences" We are being extra diligent.
Why wait until the 21st? Why not 12:15pm on January 20? Both swearings in should be complete by then.
That part jumped out at me, too, DR Jane. I'm afraid a lot of people are going to get the vaccine and then throw caution to the wind.
Onward.
I read we need to continue wearing masks after getting vaccinated. Until proven differently, the belief is we can still give someone the virus. If I am correct, we still can catch the virus and then the vaccine fights it, therefore the masks.
-
That's what I heard as well DR JANE from a couple of doctors on both my local news and on CNN.
-
Thanks for confirming my information.
-
I guess the odds are that we will be wearing masks when we see Freyja and her mother.
-
Relentless first day back to work. I didn’t even get to all of my emails. I still have about 50 left to read.
-
Waiting for Greek takeout.
-
That sounds good. The last time we had Greek food was in Greece.
-
There are several great Greek places here. I don't know why I never think of them when considering delivery.
-
It was decent. Chicken pita. The wrap part was crap. But the soup, avgolemono, was really good.
A bad wrap really does ruin the meal.
I just read that Ann Reinking has passed away
We had a lovely walk on our little beach today. The water level was down a bit making our walk more comfortable. When the water is high the ground is very uneven.
A friend just texted that to me. :'(
-
The bufflehead ducks have returned for the winter.
If I could share the photo from FB you would see them as little dots on the river.
-
Good evening.
-
I enjoyed the show last night.
-
I wish I could sing. I took some classes many years ago. It was my therapy after my best friend passed away.
-
The last time I sang in public was on my mother's 90th birthday. DR Elmore had arranged His Eye is On the Sparrow just for me. I sang it at church.
-
She didn't live to see 90, so it was in her memory.
-
As soon as it arrived in the mail, I hurried it over to the pianist's house. She was on a cruise to the Middle East, and I wanted it to be at her house when she got back. She can sight-read anything, but I did want her to have it. I thought that was the most responsible thing a singer could do for her accompanist.
-
Awww. If you can sing in public you must be able to carry a tune, something I cannot do.
-
I was looking forward to practicing it with her. We wouldn't have had much time to practice, but at least there would be a few days.
-
Sadly, her husband had a heart attack while they were on their trip. He got excellent care, but they were stuck in Israel for a while.
-
Well, it would have to be another day. We didn't have anyone else who could play.
-
So I was very surprised when she showed up that morning. They had gotten in very late at night. She came to church just for me that day. We had a chance to practice twice, I think. I hadn't heard the music Elmore had arranged.
-
I told the pastor I wanted to do it after the morning prayer when everyone was quiet and thoughtful. And I didn't want him to introduce anything or say anything after it was over. I didn't want anything to break the prayerful mood.
-
It went well. The music Elmore wrote was so beautiful.
-
My, that was quite a story.
-
I've never been asked to sing again. So maybe that says something.
-
The major thing I learned from my singing class is that singing is way harder than you would think.
-
So when I hear excellent singers like the ones BK has on his shows, I always appreciate them.
-
That's probably the most I will post all month.
-
Sadly, her husband had a heart attack while they were on their trip. He got excellent care, but they were stuck in Israel for a while.
That's sad. Israel is known for their excellent medical care. What I love it that they share their care around the world, including into Palestine when permitted.
What a sweetheart.
My, that was quite a story.
And a very moving story. Thank you for sharing it.
-
DR Laura I do you have a video to share?
-
Thanks for sharing that, DR Laura.
If this Christmas sweater doesn't prove the age of the earth, then I don't know what does.
So sad to learn that.
-
My, that was quite a story.
It was a very touching story.
-
I need to get some sleep.
-
Good night, all.
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
Had pasta papa at two o'clock, very good. Just went to Gelson's and got a couple of little snacks.
-
Also, am close to finishing project two's first go-through, but I'm sure there will be several additions to it as I go through it, so I'm still hoping for Friday. Earlier is fine, too.
-
I see - no posts in three hours.
Really unseemly.
Ho, Ho, Ho!
Who are you calling a ho?
If you are receiving 160 emails a day, it is probably you!
-
I watched THE PROM. I loved it! Is it great filmmaking? Probably not. Is it a very enjoyable, laughter inducing two hours of good cheer? I certainly thought so. Bravo!
-
Mary Kay Place is in the film, in a very small role. Where has she been? I have always loved her. She was so great in THE BIG CHILL.
Hi, Tom and BK.
It still needs to be certified by Congress in January.
I am sorry to read that. She was far too young.
-
Of course it will be certified - that is not going to be an issue, no matter what the posturing and BS that spews forth from he and his cohorts. It IS done.
-
Great story, DR Laura. Thank you for sharing.
True, and my final sigh of relief will be after Biden is sworn in as President.
So will most of the world, I'm sure.
The process completion is a formality at this point - MY point is that the posturing and BS will continue right up to the day he leaves the White House, which he will be leaving. Just trying to keep everyone positive.
