I’ve done the burger wrapped in lettuce thing a couple of times when low-carbing. I guess it worked, I don’t really remember how well. Most of the time, though, I opted to just eat it on a plate.
I'm pleased the announce the publication of JACK OAKIE, a one-person play, available in both paperback and Kindle editions via Amazon and elsewhere.
For those of you who are too young to remember Jack Oakie, he co-starred in many musicals during the 1930s-1940s (e.g. TIN PAN ALLEY, HELLO, FRISCO, HELLO), plus THE CALL OF THE WILD with Clark Gable...and Charlie Chaplin's revered film, THE GREAT DICTATOR.
I knew Jack Oakie back in the day, and I think I've captured his zany nature in my play.
Performance rights are available.

Was he deaf? Jules Dassin was making a comment about his hearing on the Thieves Highway DVd and I’d never heard that before.

Yes, he had a major hearing problem, but he was a great lip reader.
DR TCB yes.....The Space Children featured a young actor in a leading role who later played Lawrence's lover in LAWRENCE OF ARABIA. He is now a banker in England.
It also featured the shell of a mobile home and interiors used by Lucy & Desi in The Long, Long Trailer.
And a gigantic brain.
In case there are tater tots fans out there. I would modify the recipe slightly, use real garlic instead of powdered.

There were two shootings today in San Antonio. One on an overpass, the other at the airport relatively nearby. Dont know if theyre related but the airport was on lockdown for a while. An officer shot and killed the gunman who had way too much ammo on him. Scary stuff.
Tonight, we finished Atlantic Crossing, which we really liked.
Thanks for the vibes and good thoughts.
I slept well last night and got almost 8 hours. By 10:30 this morning I was falling asleep while reading. Sigh. But, it's a recovery day and recover I shall.
Several days ago I let two of my neighbors know that I was having surgery and asked if they could help with mail, as I would be unable to make it up or down the stairs. (Small apartment building with no elevator.) One of them brought a package up today, a box of soups and crackers.
I'm a bit apprehensive. I received a call from the Social Office that my arrest is imminent because of fraud on my SS account.....so I've been watching out the window for the Feds.....and my account has been suspended.;D

It's all over the internet.
I would think that when someone calls you to say the person that’s been handling your file has been out I’ll all week and I’m following up on her behalf your response might be something along the lines of thank you, I hope she’s better soon
I forgot the joys of dealing with someone who thinks our entire firm should dedicate all its time and resources to their $75 K refinance
Sweet photo George. I am glad you were finally able to pet her.
For those who want to get a jump on the announcement, both new titles are live now at Kritzerland.
Our son in law was asked to renew his contract with the 100% online school he’s been working for this year
Mass shooting tonight at FedEx in Indianapolis.

Gee, I was just going to lament the fact that I can’t get any answers about my refi. They sent me these “final” forms to sign, but before I sign, I just want to answer three questions. (1) How much is my new payment, (2) How much are my closings, and (3) when is my first payment due.
Tonight I had a craving for beef, a hamburger to be exact. I went to Burger King and I ordered a whopper with cheese.
When I got home, I took out my sandwich and the wrapper said the correct sandwich. I bit into it and something didn’t seem right.
I got a bun and three hamburger patties. Nothing else. No cheese, no condiments, no lettuce or tomato. NOTHING!
At least 8 dead at Fed Ex.
