Well, you've read the notes, the notes were fully notes, and now it is time for you to post until the fully cows cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: UTMOST!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
I know what DR elmore3003 WON'T be doing today!! ;D
-
Good morning, all!
-
It's dropped from 60 degrees yesterday to below freezing this morning. I wanted to stay in bed longer, but three cats had other plans.
-
Today I must get to work on my taxes if I am to keep my Monday appointment with my accountant.
-
Good morning, all.

The name Jeffrey Rockwell rang a bell and I looked him up and he was on The Lerner Loewe Lane STAGE concert you released
-
Well, here it is!!
This is that "morning after" that BK was talking about yesterday.
Let us hope it develops into another glorious day...at least, here in SC if it's not possible where you are.
-
I fell asleep in my chair last night while I was pondering going to bed. I slept for two hours. I was a bit annoyed when I woke up, but I just sat myself up, got up, and went to bed where I languished until about 25 minutes ago. As it is 9:30 right now, I had 7 hours of bed time. And I am using my CPAP without any issues.
-
Is this anyone here?
-
Good morning, all.
-
I believe I don't have much to report except that it is Thursday.
-
And here comes another storm, late tonight and into tomorrow, just in time to put a kink in operations at the World Wide Wicket Company. Well, we shall see what happens with this one. Probably won't know till tomorrow morning whether tomorrow night is boom or bust.
-
There’s a slight rain and ice out there. Driving to the doctor’s office was not fun.
-
I got to the doctor’s office at 8:58 for a 9 a.m. appointment. I was ushered back at 9:02. I saw the doctor at 9:07. I left at 9:12.
I think this might be a record.

SIGN THAT CAT UP!!!! ;D
-
I had no idea it had snowed here until I looked out the window this morning. It is just a light dusting and the roads are fine.
-
TCB & George did you get any snow?

So anyway......
-
Slept a bit late....then went with my sister to get some sidewalk salt. We put salt on the driveway, carport, sidewalk, and front door of the FOR SALE house.
I bought a box of shoe protectors and put them inside the front door on a small table.....to save some wear and tear on the hardwood floors.
-
Open house today 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. There was a lookey loo yesterday and one this morning....
-
I enjoyed MR BK's comments during the "round table".....I'm not sure - are some folks afraid to say they like the original?
-
Sn*w and i*e predicted from 1 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Nothing yet.
-
Ooh, still on two.
-
Singdaw, this won’t do.
-
One post and we’re through …
-
Three!
-
Yes, siree!
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.

Woke to the news that our newly cast black gal has dropped out after one music rehearsal. She says she got home and had some unexpected news and she has to drop out. I don't get it, I don't want to get it, and I'm done with people like this.
-
After 4-5 unanswered calls to Local 802 about the "No Musician Left Behind" program, I went to Facebook, found the union page and within minutes of sending an inquiry, I got a response. Hopefully, I will lear something soon.

TCB & George did you get any snow?
It may have snowed during the night, but there was nothing on the ground when I left for work. And it wasn't that cold, so I would guess it didn't.
-
Around here, it's supposed to get down to 25° by tomorrow morning!

Thursday afternoon greetings! We are under a "Winter Weather Advisory" that could mean rain, sleet, or snow. I'm glad the lecture we're attending this evening is on Zoom.

I finally got a reply from Local 802, and sadly the news is not good: that check is all your getting.
I'm very worried about the situation. Very.

Bad tweet making the rounds:
Queen Elizabeth is in bed with Covid-19.
Prince Andrew is in bed with Chloe-15.
-
...and the precipitation has begun. Right now, it sounds like rain.
-
Good luck with the precip, DR Ginny. Ours isn't supposed to start until 1:00 AM or later tonight, and I'm usually home from Poughkeepsie by midnight so I'm hoping that holds. But all bets are off about tomorrow. A HUGE unknown.

I think we found a replacement for our actor. Also, I was trying to get a new song from Amanda McBroom and her collaborator, Michele Brourman. They wrote today that nothing had come to mind for an LA song. I reminded Amanda of something she posted on Valentine's Day - really cute and funny and VERY LA. She confirmed she'd posted and is already writing it. So, looks like we'll have that new song.
-
I just found out today that Amanda McBroom's father was a famous actor from the 1940's. Did I find that out on HHW?
-
Sorry for the news DR ELMORE.
-
Just rain here still DR GINNY and it's 5 p.m.
I wonder how the Open House is going?

Isn’t that what her song Errol Flynn is about?

It’s been a while.

Onward!

Four!
-
I see that the posts are perking along rather nicely here. Good show!
-
Hello, everyone.
-
We had some s**w here this afternoon, too.
-
But I didn't have to go out, and I didn't have a showing.
-
So there's that.
-
I think crackers, cheese, and wine are in order.
-
But not necessarily THAT order.
-
A HUGE CONGRATS to DR Elmore on completing his treatments!!
Despite the angst, you've shown courage and commitment during a very difficult journey.
Vibes for relief and excellent results.
-
Hi, Sing.
-
I am home today. I saw the osteopath yesterday for my back treatment, which means I must COOL IT today and be patient until the side effects wear off.
-
Given how cold it's been, cooling it is easy. We had a low of 37 last night --really COLD for us! I put yet another blanket on my bed.

Only 5 minutes with the doctor? I'd feel cheated. I always have a list of questions.

I've been reading THE WAR THAT SAVED MY LIFE. Has anyone here read it? I hadn't even heard about it until a couple weeks ago. It's a novel about a disabled girl and her little brother, who are evacuees from London's East End during WWII. It's absolutely unputdownable. Highly recommended.
-
TTFN.

No but I plan to now. I have placed a hold for it at my library. I see there is a sequel.

Gratuitous post 111!
-
Time for class.
-
DR John I finished reading The Nickel Boys and, thankfully, much preferred it to The Underground Railroad.
-
My book discussion isn't until Monday. I wish I had reversed Nickel with the book I began today.
-
We had some s**w here this afternoon, too.
It's 7:36 p.m. here and it's 81 degrees. I had to turn on my AC this afternoon.
-
The true story of the author's Jewish grandmother begins in 1944 in Crasna, which at the time was in Hungary, located on the border of Romania. Today it is located in Romania, located on the border of Ukraine.
-
The book is The Redhead of Auschwitz.
-
Sally Kellerman passed away. She was 84 :(

I keep thinking I've forgotten something: :D

I think you should mention it, even if nothing directly linking JRand to the event is available.
-
I have great admiration for the Russians protesting the attacks.
-
I just read the following:
Elena Kovalskaya, the director of Moscow’s Vsevolod Meyerhold State Theater and Cultural Center, has announced her resignation in protest against the invasion of Ukraine. “It’s impossible to work for a murderer and collect a salary from him,” she writes.
Never underestimate the power of the arts. Moscow’s Mayakovsky Theater has forbidden its actors from making “ANY comments AT ALL” about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The city’s Culture Dept. reportedly says any negative comments will be considered “treason.”
-
Shortly I shall be on my way to the mail place, then to rehearsal.
-
Thanks for the book recommendations, DR Jeanne and DR Jane. And of course, always, DR John G.
I am reading The Bravest Voices.
-
I have not a lot of other news.
-
Good night, friends.

DR John I finished reading The Nickel Boys and, thankfully, much preferred it to The Underground Railroad.
Every book of his has been world's apart from each other. It's like he's sampling genres.

I, too, am grateful for the book recommendations. Right now, I'm listening to a massive biography of Stephen Crane called Burning Boy. Paul Auster, a writer I enjoy, is also doing the reading. But the book is huge. It's 36 hours long. And the only thing of Crane's I remember reading was Red Badge of Courage, which I read more than 30 years ago. Still, I'm fascinated even though I'm barely 6 hours into it.
-
Tonight's movie is A Walk in the Sun, an anti-war film from Lewis Milestone. Great cast including Richard Conte, Norman Lloyd, Dana Andrews, Lloyd Bridges, John Ireland, Sterling Holloway and more. It would make a nice bookend with The Big Red One.

Sally Kellerman has died at age 84. I'm going to have to dig up my copy of the musical Breakfast at Tiffany's. She was a hoot on that recording, doing her original role and singing several fun songs.
-
Guess I missed those earlier posts about Kellerman.
-
Hello, 2 guests!

What's your favorite Sally Kellerman musical? .Lost Horizon?
-
Here she is: https://youtu.be/NllSs_qz2Xk

Good night, all.

Back from a really fun rehearsal. I re-staged the opening number and it looks really good already. And then our choreographer got there and she taught all the steps to the Hullabaloo number - so, very productive. Now that they know the steps and layout, she'll stage it on Saturday, then do the hip-hop number, the trio, I'll do the quartet, and she'll do the little disco dance that's in Born Too Late - and then all the numbers with movement are done.
-
I enjoyed MR BK's comments during the "round table".....I'm not sure - are some folks afraid to say they like the original?
Can’t we just like both of them?

Cool...very cool. Here in Tumwater, tomorrow is supposed to be 7° warmer than it was today.

I haven't looked at what the weekend will be like, though.

Hopefully, it'll be a warming trend that continues until the fall! ;D

It says it'll take about 10 minutes, but I think in past updates, it's taken less time.
