Well, you've read the notes, the notes were back in the saddle again, and now it is time for you to post until the back in the saddle again cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: HAIMISH!
-
Good morning to all and I hope everybody has a fabulous weekend.
-
And maybe this weekend I’ll finally get to see the John Wick trilogy
-
Good morning, all!
-
After getting my email from Local 802 yesterday afternoon and debating methods of suicide that would not jeopardize my life insurance, I callewd my accountant and moved Monday's appointment to Wednesday. If I know that I will be getting any money back from the IRS, I ma be able to hold our some payments until the return shows up.
If I weren't stuck with that goddamned Ohio property tax, I could have paid everything off for February and possibly even begun paying the healthcare bills that are now turning up like proverbial bad pennies. Believe me, it takes a lot of will power to not send hitmen to take out two dumbass brothers.
-
So, for the next four days I will be in IRS hell. It would go much more smoothly if I weren't constantly fatigued and fighting the urge to lie down and do nothing but sleep.

How could you not warm up to a cast headed by someone named Chilina?
-
Speaking of Chillina, I thgink I heard on CBS Mornings that today is National Chili Day.
-
This morning I got a second call from Local 802. Suddenly, after two weeks of calls and emails on my part, I'm deluged with responses.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Financial VIBES for DR Elmore!
-
So here I sit, waiting for the wintry mix to stop and for the plow guy to plow. Whatever has or hasn’t happened by some point in the late afternoon, I’ll have to barrel out of here to get to my show tonight.
-
Well DR ELMORE you could always invest in PARADISE SQUARE.
There's nothing like being called fraudster, a Canadian crook, and a jailbird in the New York Post. Garth must be thrilled. I wonder what time rehearsal is today?
-
I loved reading about MR BK's rehearsal yesterday....I am READY to get back to the stage.....but I'm still a few months away.....
JOSEPH JOSEPH.....
-
Yea go ahead and tell Joe about it.....but make sure he writes it down so he remembers it.
-
Yes DR JOHN G that is what Amanda McBroom's song "Errol Flynn" is about.....most entertaining.
Her father is actor David Bruce.
-
It’s hard to find chili in the city that introduced chili powder to the marketplace. I think it’s because everyone has a different idea of what it is.

Wow. I had a memory about something written after Cole Porter’s time that was accurate.
-
TOD:
King Ricard is set for tonight or tomorrow. I’m debating going to the theater to see Cyrano.
-
Good morning, friends.
-

-
DR Jrand71 - any bites from the recent open houses?
-
I love the song "Errol Flynn" and find it quite moving. Also "Ship in a Bottle." Amanda McBroom has quite a gift.
-
With the advent of self-driving cars, it's inevitable that someone will write a Country Western or Blues song about how their car left them. Literally.
-
I think a big batch of chili sounds like a fine way to celebrate this day.
-
DR Ron Pulliam - condolences on your loss. (news from Facebook)
-
No nibbles reported DR SINGDAW.....we shall see.
-
On today's episode of PETTICOAT JUNCTION the girls and Dr. Craig are trying to get the Tweedie clan to take their flu vaccines, but the backward Tweedies don't want nothing to do with no vaccinations.....even the Game Warden can't get them to do it.
"No shots fer me or my kinfolk!"
-
It is very current.....
-
Now I've got my petticoats all in a bunch...
-
It's high drama, I tell you.
-
Well the Tweedies all got their vaccinations since Dr Craig vaccinated the dog and he turned out well.
-
I was excited to see the return of Law & Order last night. It made me very happy.
-
Petticoat Junction was always ahead of its time.

Maybe they should do one of those gritty, grim remakes like they’re doing with Fresh Prince.
-
So it sounds like that new remake doesn't have a laugh track, then?
-
Well the Tweedies all got their vaccinations since Dr Craig vaccinated the dog and he turned out well.
;D
-
Does the dog wear a petticoat, too?
-
Well, God bless Mr. Plow Man.
And that’s about all I have to say at the moment.
-
I've got most of my receipts, etc. in order, but I do not understand how it is that I can pay 12 credit card payments, put all the statements into the same tax file and end up with only 11!
-

A MAGA hat
-
It’s slightly warmer today than yesterday but I’m colder.
-
Claude Debussy (48), left. and Igor Stravinsky (28), right, in 1910.
-
Dog that lives at the Shady Rest has a petticoat that he hangs on the water tower with the three girls - but he doesn't wear it in the show. I love that little dog.....his real name is Higgins and he later became Benji.... Frank Inn who trained a lot of animals is from my hometown and I went to school with a lot of his nieces. Nice folks.
The Tweedy dog looks like he was played by Duke from The Beverly Hillbillies in a guest start spot.
-
My great nephew - another one - is having a ZOOM wedding in a few hours.
I am going to my brother's house to watch. Their address is not on the ZOLA website, so I haven't been able to send them a card. Maybe my brother can give me an address.
The wedding is in Kentucky where my nephew lives and where I guess my great nephew and his new wife will be living.

He'd be the perfect producer to produce a musical about tRump! ;)

Enjoy the wedding.

As DR singdaw mentioned, I have had a loss in my family...again.
I received a call at 6:12 a.m. from my cousin Debra informing me that her daddy, my Uncle Rock, had died around 4:30 a.m.
He was the husband of my mom's sister, Doris, who passed away last year the week before Thanksgiving.
He had just turned 89 at the end of January. His last couple of weeks were rather sad as he was mostly bedridden and didn't know who was with him or where his wife was.
It's both a relief and a devastation for my cousins. This time last year, they were marvelling that they were the only people their ages that they knew whose parents were both alive.
I feel sorry for my cousins, and I am sad that he has had no quality of life for the past three or four months, but...I never felt close to him. This simply is what it is.
-
The upshot for me is that I went back to bed thinking I could fall back asleep, but I could not.
And when I got up, I discovered I had tweaked a nerve in my lower left back.
And it hurts, and it is debilitating.
Drat.

This is sad, yet as you said also a relief to know the suffering is over. My condolences to your grieving cousins.

and... THREE.

Someone had a lot of fun designing this packaging:

:)

I am expected at my uncle's house with the family this evening for supper being provided by some very kind neighbors.
It seems we will have a lunch following church service Sunday, and then visitation will take place at the funeral home at 2 p.m. That way, everyone from out of town can go home while there is still light.
-
Vibes and sympathies, DR Ron Pulliam.
-
And hugs.

I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep - got up at one - really rough night - I think the chicken I got from Gelson's had seen better days.
-
And then it's been proofing a new chart, having calls, picking up packages, and now I'm eating some Cheesecake Factory foodstuffs.
-
King Richard is about tennis. And I knew that going in. But there's, well, a lot of tennis. It could be worse. I'm grateful that it's not about golf.
-
The performers are good. The script is predictable.
-

:))
-
'night
-
I'm afraid I have to say "good night, friends" too.
-
The last tennis ball has been served for the evening.
-
The end of the movie was inspiring, as it needed to be.
Still, Aujanue Ellis as the girls' mother was the best thing in the movie.
-
Now I'm starting a western called The Last Sunset. Robert Aldrich directing. Kirk Douglas, Rock Hudson, Dorothy Malone, Joseph Cotton and DR Druxy's friend, Carol Lynley. Great cast. A plot detail out of Thomas Hardy's Mayor of Casterbridge. And a lot of homoeroticism.
-
"Drop your pants and show us your backside."
This movie is devolving into Deliverance.
-
Only without banjos.
-
Or is the plural banji?
-
Can we get off this page before Tom gets here?
-
It might be possible.
-
Two ...
-
One ...
-
Four!
-
Don't ask about my counting skills.
-
Hello, 0 guests!
-
So, the creep factor of this movie gets worse. Carol Lynley's character is 15 and you know she's headed for Kirk Douglas's bed, unless Rock gets there first.
-
Then there are the weirdly asexual Mexican characters, who have happy-go-lucky cockfights and play lots of music.
-
Kirk Douglas singing is, well, not one of his greater talents.
-
Good evening.
-
Hi, DR Laura.
-
How is your weather today?
-
I could never warm up today.
-
It almost made it to 40, but the wind was brutal.
-
Gratuitous post 101!
-
It doesn't look to be any warmer tomorrow.
-
But next Friday, it's supposed to be back up to 87 again.
-
I have started watching Peaky Blinders.
-
It is brutal, graphic and bloody.
-
It's also entertaining because of the cast. I like Cillian Murphy, Helen McCrory and Sam Neill, the main players.
-
It's set in 1919, but some of the hair styles are a bit anachronistic.
-
I will have to pick it up again tomorrow.
-
I'm beginning to fade.
-
But first ...
-
Let's get to page five
-
Any which way I can.
-
Only a few more posts.
-
But what shall fill the posts?
-
Underpants!
-
Cranberries!
-
This page four malarkey?
-
indeed.
-
Onward!
-
Five!
-
Good night, all.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
I just got home from ushering at a Judy Collins concert!
-
I was on the mezzanine, which is the middle of the WCPA's three balconies:
-
That level has great sound, though...no complaints there. :)
-
She started the show with "Both Sides Now," and sang songs from her newest CD that is officially released today!
-
There were some being sold in the lobby, but I didn't get a chance to buy one.
-
She didn't come out to the lobby afterward (of course), but none of the CDs were pre-signed, like some other artists have done.
-
Oh, well...it was a great concert.
-
She just stood there and sang while playing her guitar and/or accompanied by her music director playing the piano.
-
At the top of the second act, she accompanied herself on the piano for a few songs, then her music director came back out, and she only sang and didn't play the guitar.
-
Her last two songs after bows (and the fake end of the show) were "Amazing Grace" with audience sing-along, then "Send in the Clowns." :'(
-
She deserved the standing ovation she got.
-
At 82 years old, her voice certainly wasn't as supple as it was, but she still had the range!
-
And she just stood there the whole time!
-
She never sat down, other than when she played the piano, and she didn't have a bottle of water on stage at all.
-
She did use sheet music and possibly lyric sheets, and she did have to restart a couple of songs because she screwed up the beginnings (and took it al in stride), but she then sang the songs flawlessly, and the audience still loved her.
-
A great time was had by all.
-
I think this is the third time that I've seen her perform here in Olympia. :)
-

She will be safer with Rock.
-
This page four malarkey?
Malarkey? Indeed.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
She deserved the standing ovation she got.
She wouldn’t get one from me!
-
Hello, George.
-
She deserved the standing ovation she got.
She wouldn’t get one from me!
There were three couples with physical limitations who sat up on the mezzanine. Unfortunate, the restrooms in the mezzanine lobby aren't handicapped accessible, but the elevator is fairly close to the seating.
-
Yeah, but the time they catch the elevator and get downstairs, the Intermission will be over.
-
Hit it, George!
-
Yeah, but the time they catch the elevator and get downstairs, the Intermission will be over.
Sadly, very true. :-\
-
Oh, look! It's Page Six!
