Well, you've read the notes (the video came out HUGE - don't know what to do about it), the notes were back in the swing of things, and now it is time for you to post until the swingin' cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: POLYGLOT!
-
Fixed it.
-
Great video, BK!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Great video, BK!
Yes, it was.
-
I did not sleep well last night, but I awoke without feeling the need top go back to bed for another hour. Go figure.
-
DR vixmom, were the four dogfs your brother's or did another guest bring them over?
-
DR vixmom's narrative made me laugh, but it sounds to me like a nightmare of a day.

DR vixmom, were the four dogfs your brother's or did another guest bring them over?
They belong to my brother and his wife. They have Westie show dogs
-
I have two favorite murder cases:
Lizzie Borden (I still think the maid was the killer)
The Papin Sisters, who have inspired an interesting play My Sister in this House and its movie spin Sister, My Sister as well as Jean Genet's play The Maids
-
Good morning to all

Nice video BK!

Happy Tuesday. May fortune smile upon each of you.

Today is a runoff election day for town mayor. My candidate is both a neighbor and a friend.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I have little to report. We had a nor'easter. It rained. It's over.
-
TOD: Jon-Benet Ramsey.
My belief is that it happened within that family and that a coverup of major proportions has been managed. But, I could be wrong.
-
At some point, visual aids can save your day!
-
Vixmom, it's a shame that there was so little wine left when you got to the bottle.
-
I have to vote this morning. Will wait until the painter gets here.
This afternoon, it's off to the chiropractor for a weekly adjustment.
-
TOD: Jon-Benet Ramsey.
My belief is that it happened within that family and that a coverup of major proportions has been managed. But, I could be wrong.
Same.
-
Vixmom, it's a shame that there was so little wine left when you got to the bottle.
I would love to know the size of her glass. I have never gotten that many glasses out of one bottle.
-
Loved the video in the notes.
I shall consider the TOD......certainly the cases mentioned already are among my favorites.....Bordon, Ramsey.
-
I have learned from DR VIXMOM that if I attend a family function, I should take a BOX of wine.
-
DR JOHN G mentioned Miss Shirley Temple a couple of days ago.
I remember a story in Buddy Ebsen's book - if you've heard it, move along.....
He was supposed to do a routine with Temple in Captain January. Now I don't like his "eccentric" style of dance - Ray Bolger does the same thing.....and he's certainly not the easiest face to look at even back in 1936. He worked for several days on the dance. One morning a limo pulled up to the rehearsal hall and Temple got out.
He started to show her the routine. Eight year old Temple said: "Is the routine set yet?" And he said: "No." And Temple said: "Call me when it's set." She got into her limo and left.

Tuesday morning greetings! We had a glorious 3 days with Charlotte and her parents and I agreed with what she said yesterday morning: “No home, no home!” Alas, they DID go home and our house suddenly became too quiet.
-
Friday evening, Fr. Richard went to the Dayton ‘burbs to conduct a service and Rob went to their former church to attend one. Charlotte and her Mama and Gram stayed home and watched “Easter Parade.” Charlotte applauded after each dance number.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Two!
-
Sounds like a great visit, Ginny.
-
I did not get Wordle today.
-
Well, this morning's damned iMac update took over 2.5 hours. Luckily I had other things to do, buit what a waste of time.
-
Our niece Lauren, son J (age 7, almost), and her mother Jayne came for Saturday lunch. We ordered burgers from The Jug and Granddad brought home Central Pastry cookies for dessert. Lauren set up an Easter egg hunt in our backyard and J and Charlotte had a great time.
-
Saturday evening we colored a few Easter eggs. Last year, at her house, Charlotte was content to sit in her high chair and watch us do it. But this year she hollered, “I try!” so she sat in Rob’s lap and she and Mama took turns.
-
Easter morning, Fr. Richard went back to Beavercreek to celebrate and I went with Charlotte’s family to their former church. We all stopped at Kroger on the way home - Richard for ice, Rob for gas, and me for wine. We then prepared our traditional Easter feast of green (Jello) eggs and ham, cheesy potatoes, green beans, and yeast rolls.
-
Richard’s brother David and his wife Kathy arrived about 4. Aunt Kathy won Charlotte’s heart with a plushy Peppa Pig and everyone else’s with bunny cakes from Servatii Bakery in Cincinnati. Charlotte crashed as soon as they left and Gram wasn’t far behind.
-
Sounds like a great visit, Ginny.
Yes, DR John G, it was and we’ll see them in just one short month when we gather in Michigan for an early celebration of Charlotte’s second birthday at her other grandparents’ home.
-
Why, you might be wondering, are we celebrating Charlotte’s birthday early?
Well, it’s because shortly after her actual birthday in June she will receive a really special present:
A BABY SISTER!!!
-
Wow! Congratulations to the family on the soon to arrive little sister!
-
Thanks, DR Vixmom - we’re pretty excited!
I loved your Easter story.
-
Congratulations on the baby news, Ginny! And another girl!
-
TOD:
Donald Trump’s crimes against America
The Sackler family
-
Great video. The band sounds wonderful, too.
-
Congratulations on the baby news, Ginny! And another girl!
Thanks, DR John G! My sister-in-law Kathy, who also has an only son, and I are enjoying granddaughters together. She has 2 already and left yesterday morning to visit them in Colorado.
-
Congratulations, DR Ginny!
-
Thank you, DR ChasSmith!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Wonderful news from DR Ginny and family.

From DR John:
I like all books that retell the Greek myths. I remember finding this one sad and lovely. You know the ending, which makes all the choices they make sad. You can’t stop it from coming. Yet his relationship with his lover was really well handled.
With a description this beautiful how can I not read it.

-
DR vixmom, were the four dogfs your brother's or did another guest bring them over?
They belong to my brother and his wife. They have Westie show dogs
Westies are our favorite small dogs. Our upstairs dog we love is a Westie.

Vixmom, it's a shame that there was so little wine left when you got to the bottle.

The wine glasses I use just for me are small.

-
Good morning.

We went camping yesterday. Shortly after we got to the campground, we were notified that it's being evacuated because of a nearby wildfire. So we're home.

Yep. Charlotte’s birthday is in early June and the new baby is due later in June.

I wonder if any of Laura's casinos use this type of 3-D carpeting to keep the guests from running in the hallways.

Yep. Charlotte’s birthday is in early June and the new baby is due later in June.
Hopefully, they won't be given one gift for the two of them. At least they aren't twins, so it's much less likely.

I didn't even think of that.
In elementary school I was invited to a birthday party for a classmate. My mother sent me with two gifts, one for her twin sister. I always remembered that lesson. Years later when Bryan went to a birthday party for the twins across the street I was shocked to find he was the only one who took two gifts instead of a combination gift. Their mother let me know how much she appreciated the separate gifts.

I've been going mad for the past three hours because I could not get the recordign budget to balance. here the fat hell did 17,000 euros go? I finally realized that the recording venue wasn't 2,840 euros for the entire sessions; it was for one day! I'm balanced now.

Amazing!

I’m furious today. Our symphony musicians have been on strike for months. They have also scheduled several concerts at a church near the theater where they generally play. The next concerts, in May, are to be conducted by the conductor who has led them to new heights. He’s been in San Antonio for 12 years now. Because he agreed to conduct, the symphony board fired him today.
-
That's grim news, DR John G.

Poor thing. It seems he was found just in time by the best people.

I hate working with boards......they are the most ungrateful ignorant folks - so much so that you would think it was a prerequisite.
-
What a great story and ending from DR GINNY!
Congrats all around!
-
I got the Wordle today because of DR VIXMOM's story last week about James McAvoy.
-
I have made an appointment with the Fence People to discuss a fence in my backyard. I only need on on the longest side.....the neighbor beside me takes care of one side and the other side has a nice picket fence that I want to keep. The 4th side is the house & gate I will keep.
So we shall see what choices I am given.
-
I need to replace the fence that the previous neighbors kept running into while backing their BIG truck and BIG station wagon into their driveway.
I saw them do it - but the never approached me to tell me......
-
It is slightly catty-wampus as they say.

I like the part about "previous".

What day?
-
I'm up, I'm up - slept from four to six, up for two hours, then slept from eight to two, so eight hours of sleep.
-
I'd just awakened when the phone rang - Grant - so he came over and hung the pictures, which look great.
-
Then I went to the mail place and picked up a small package, came home, ordered a salad from Stanley's, which is arriving momentarily, and now I must catch up on stuff, then I can watch, listen, and relax.
-
Had a nice bowl of chicken caldo for dinner.
-
Picked up another jasmine at Costco.

Starting to watch the Italian version of Nero Wolfe. It’s wonderful. Down to the orchids and the food.
-
The setup is a hoot. Apparently the FBI exiled Wolfe from the U.S. We’re never told the exact reason. All very hush hush.
-
My nephew Herman, the one who fell a week or two ago, gave his graduate degree recital on the French horn last night. It’s on Facebook.
I can’t watch all of it tonight. The first piece is by Bach.
-
Good night, all.
-
Good night, friends.

George, do you have to go to every rehearsal?

Just one more post.
-
George, do you have to go to every rehearsal?
So far, I do. I'm in the ensemble, and there's only one song that I can think of where the men don't sing. I think.
-
There are a couple of songs where the ensemble aren't on stage, but we'll still be singing from off stage...hopefully, it works.
;)
-
Just one more post.
Not anymore. ;D
-
Well, I must be off. I didn't sleep as much as I needed last night (this morning, actually ::) ), so I'm going to go to sleep now.
Until tomorrow!
