Well, you've read the notes, the notes were perfectly dreadful, and now it is time for you to post until the perfectly dreadful cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ABLIGURITION!

Did our very own darling George write an Amazon review yet, yes or no?

And NOW I'm off to bed...but before I go, tonight I'm ushering for Sovereignty (https://harlequinproductions.org/show/sovereignty/) again. I'll be able to pay more attention to the story and pick up things that I missed the first time. Also, one of the actors was out last time with Covid, and I'd heard that he's supposed to be back, so I'll have seen two different actors playing the same role. That's always interesting. :)
Good night and have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I had a very strange night of sleep. I had about four solid hours between 9:30 and 2:30a.m., and then it was mostly dozing and tossing about. I had a sort of nightmare in qwhich I, a younger brother, and older sister seemed to be refugees in a distant war, perhaps the Civil War, and we ended up in an old creepy house.

Today, if the HRA site is correct, I must have a telephone conversation with the Human Rights Administration about Medicaid. I am advised to stay stay near the telephone.

DR TCB, I am quite the agnostic so I really appreciate those prayers. I think it's time for the Democrats to make public the names of all the NRA-
bribedsupported Republicans in office and use it against them in all 2022 primary and November elections.
-
DR Jeanne, when I have cartons of books, CDs, DVDs to dump, I call our DR ChasSmith, and he carts them away to Connecticut libraries for me. Can I give you his number?
-
Good morning to all

I'm trying to recapture last night's dream. It was bold and vivid when I first woke up and mulled it over, and now I can't even pull up a solid image, let alone the actual events. It'll probably break through in a bit, but isn't it amazing how this stuff works in our li'l brains?
-
And the word of the day is: ABLIGURITION!
Guilty.

Thursday....we have a small check to put in the Estate account.....
I am just not feeling good today.....it's been a blah week....I do have a rehearsal tonight which I will attend, but I don't think I will attend the wedding on Saturday.... On Sunday we have the Season Open House at the theader - so there you are.

Vibes for MR BK - and remember Mr. Paul Galloway. I think he is your friend on Facebook.....LA Based.....and a piano playing guy!

My left hand is better....about 60%, I would say.

I am of course still waiting for the Director's BIO - the last link I need so that I can put the slideshow together.

I received a note from my doctor's nurse telling me an MRI request was submitted May 19 and that I should be getting a call to schedule any day now.

Good sleep last night. Pleasant enough dreams, some of which had former co-workers in them. One of them brought me a sandwich...an onion and tomato sandwich...which she had been given at her previous meeting and which she indicated she couldn't eat because of the onion. As I had already eaten lunch, I thanked her and the sandwich went away.
-
I have never eaten an onion and tomato sandwich. Not on my bucket list, either.
-
What shall I do with today?
I may get a haircut.
-
Good morning!

Cool! I hope it also gets a new recording.

An onion and tomato sandwich sounds wonderful. With a pinch of really good salt and either mayo or olive oil on really crusty bread. Of course, I might add olives, feta, whatever to make a Greek salad sandwich.
-
The one (Vidalia) onion and tomato salad I ever had at a restaurant (in the Atlanta area) was incredible. I sometimes try to recreate it at home, to varying degrees of success. This had to be 20 years ago, and I don't know the name of the restaurant, but it was a good steakhouse kind of place and I'm sure that kind of salad is very common there.
I also remember when I was around high school age, my mother introduced me to something she liked to make for herself: an onion sandwich -- just a slice of onion on buttered white bread with salt and pepper -- and I loved it. Haven't had one in years, but now that I'm thinking about it...
Anyhoo... the above two paragraphs should, I hope, amply demonstrate that in the future, all unwanted onion and tomato sandwiches should be put in a cooler and air-freighted, posthaste, to the following address...

I've never quite warmed up to feta, but the olives and their wonderful oil and all the rest, man -- bring it on.

I was thinking butter and onion. Kind of like a tea sandwich. Yum.

I love the idea of a Greek version of the sandwich. I love Feta Cheese. I blame my 6 months living in Athens in the 1970s.
-
I hot the cucumber, feta, onion and feta here. No bread. No tomatoes.
-
And I got the olives.
-
I might like an onion and tomato sandwich if it had a hamburger patty on it.

Add a nice slice of cheese and I'll have one of those, too.

From DR Jeanne:
The bottle takes a little getting used to. But the drops seem more effective than some of the others, maybe because they are thick. Often there isn't enough in the singles for one dose, given my aim. The Refresh Relieva are cheaper, too.
Funny as it is with the Relieva bottle that I miss my eye. I am getting better at it.

From Jeanne:
I think Brian explained to her the kinds of things I want done. I don't pay extra for "deep cleaning." I think that's bull. It's all ordinary cleaning. I've done it all myself and it really isn't any different. I do take into account that some tasks require heavy lifting and many women aren't able to do them. I pay well, but expect a good job. I'm not interested in whining or the "I'm a professional. I know what needs to be done" attitude. I pay by the hour, which I feel is an honest approach. Some cleaners want to see the place first, then say how much they'll charge. Nope. That makes no sense since they don't know what I want done. I've used many cleaners over the years and few are really good. I also know the games they play. I don't want the games, just honest work. You can see why it's so hard for me to find someone.
Yes, apparently this is the old fashioned way. As for "professionals", there are classes they take. From what I can tell that means learning how to use a feather duster instead of a damp dust rag. And forget using oil on the wood. As for charging extra. It is that they want to do their basic cleaning, which is in the time frame expected for the work, and anything else is additional.
I hope it works out well with Brian's mother.

From Jeanne:
WWII is cheerier than the contemporary US? If the film and fiction covering that period is any indication I think people coped better then than many do today. I've always found strength in reading (or viewing) WWII stories. They went through so much!
I agree.
-
My left hand is better....about 60%, I would say.
Continued healing vibes.

I received a note from my doctor's nurse telling me an MRI request was submitted May 19 and that I should be getting a call to schedule any day now.
Good.
-
Ray Liotta has died.
This is sad and only 67.
-
I first saw Liotta on Another World. Can’t remember what character he played.
-
The character was Joey Perrini, but I don’t recall the storyline.

I just read a story of a 28-year-old woman with a rare condition called maple syrup urine disease. She cannot metabolize protein and needs a special metabolic-formula made by Abbott. Within 24 to 48 hours without her formula her brain will start swelling and deteriorating causing her to fall into a coma and likely die.
Understandably she is scared, for herself and her friends with this condition. They are all frustrated there hasn't been any news coverage about this, and little information from the FDA.
-
I received two sets of covid test kits in the mail today. Odd because I only ordered one.
-
Three!
-
Horrible story, Jane.
-
Something I never heard of.
-
I read about it last fall when some company, not Abbott, decided to change its formula. The mother went to social media and got an outpouring of support.
-
In the story they mentioned why adults could be on formula.
-
HRA has not called me today. If they haven't called me by 5:00, I will call them tomorrow.
-
Thanks DR JANE.....hopefully it will get better this weekend.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
And now that MR BK is up, I shall be on my way to rehearsal.

Oh, my goodness! That's terrible! :-\
-
Thursday afternoon greetings! Back to reality - I had a dentist appointment this morning and have done organizational work all afternoon.
-
In the story they mentioned why adults could be on formula.
That's good. I haven't heard anything else about it in the news, but then I can't always hear what they are saying.
-
Ouch!
-
We went to the dermatologist today.
-
Keith said he had at least 20 spots sprayed.
-
I lost count after 10 sprays.
-
At least neither of us had to have anything cut out today.

Hello, friends.

FOUR!!!!
-
Absolutely nothing exciting going on here, but just wanted to check in.

Happened to hear a snippet of beguiling and intriguing music today. It turned out to be Schreker's "Chamber Symphony."

Good night, friends.

Good night, Singdaw.

We have been under the threat of severe thunderstorms all day.
Yet...nothing. Something may happen after I go to bed, but I'm good with it bypassing us altogether.
-
Got my haircut.
Had lunch at Park Row No. 1 -- barbecue sandwich, potato salad, dill pickle and unsweetened tea.
It was yum.

Nighty night, all.

Good night, DR Ron.

I am shocked and horrified! The law enforcement officers waited over an hour before entering the school!
-
And the security guard who engaged in a firefight before the killer entered the school was apparently imaginary.
-
The shooter just walked into the unlocked back door.
-
Wasn’t there a police officer in possibly Florida, who lost his job and maybe paid a fine because he stayed outside of that school instead of confronting that shooter?
-
I had a delightful lunch today with my oldest great nephew.
-
He looks great.
-
Has anyone watched THE BOYS?
-
What happened today?
-
We have been having some great post totals, until today.
-
And then there is the husband of one of murdered teachers who died today of a heart attack..
-
One of his relatives was quoted as saying, “He died of a broken heart.”
-
I am shocked and horrified! The law enforcement officers waited over an hour before entering the school!
I read that, too! WTf'ingF?? >:(

And repugs are saying that schools need MORE armed guards!?!?!?

So this weekend, I bought a (used but like new) Kindle Oasis from Woot (an Amazon company) (https://www.woot.com/offers/kindle-oasis-6-4gb-2016-e-reader-w-cover) and it arrived today!
-
With tax and free shipping, it was only $87.51!
-
Anyway, the listing AND the mailing box AND the packing slip inside the box ALL specified that it was a Kindle AND a charging cover...HOWEVER, there was no charging cover in the box! :o
-
I thought I sent a message today through the website, but I can't find any evidence that I actually did, so I'll send the message again.
-
Hopefully, I'll get the cover that was advertised!
-
Also, it's supposed to have 4GB of memory, but only 2.75GB shows. ::)
