Well, you've read the notes, the notes didn't have a damn flexatone, and now it is time for you to post until the damn flexatone cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: RIPOSTE!
-
I should be asleep
-
First after BK though
-
Hello Vixmom!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well last night. It was a long day, and sitting around and doing nothing for hours only adds to the fatigue, or as they now say in dumbed down coommercials "Tiredness."
-
I need to call Access-a-Ride to book tomorrow's trip to my podiatrist. I want to spend part of the day laying out scoreds for my overture sketch. I've figured out 2/3 of it. The final third remains sketchy, but I at least know its shape, if not its details.
-
DR singdaw, I did ask the interviewer yersterday why I had to come out to Queens instead of the West 13th Street office. She told me, in maybe her only moment that wasn't unpleasant, that that office had been closed.
-
The office has been closed. Patients will not be seen in the order they arrive.
-
Show vibes for MR BK & co.
-
I'm still chuckling with delight after yesterday's Mar-a-Lago raid. That bastard Trump may finally be getting caught in fifty years of con games, fraud, and uitter disregard for anything but his own self-interests.
-
Last night's rehearsal was okay.....I guess we'll be all right.
Between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. last night we sold 100 tickets. Today the story and photos are in the print paper - I guess we'll probably sell as many.....
-
The office has been closed. Patients will not be seen in the order they arrive.
Good morning, DR Jrand71!
-
JOSEPH is very popular with the populace. More times than I can say, "it's my favorite show" has been mentioned.
-
My two sisters, my nephew and his six year old daughter came last night. It was her first theeder musical experience.
She loved every minute of it - her favorite character was Jacob. He was the only one she wanted to meet afterwards and the actor obliged. It was very nice.
-
Tonight is the Family Night performance.....with the expected consequences.
-
Kay's first theeder experience.

Good morning, all.
-
Great photos, JRand. Congratulations on finally opening.
-
Wordle in 5, Phoodle in 2. I got 4 of Wordle’s five letters and kept up the wrong rhymes.
-
We open on Thursday DR JOHN G.....this was just a dress rehearsal. My sisters are busy on performance nights and I didn't want them to miss it.
-
I loved those photos! Please post more, DR Jrand71
-
Well, I called Access-a-Ride to book tomorrow's trip, and I was told I've losr my eligibility, So, at 9:00 I will call the Eligibility Dept.
-
Good morning!

Wordle: 5/6
-
DR George: Now I see what you mean about Wordle.
-
I never go to doughnut places so don't know the various offerings, but i did read on the internet that maple bars are "prominent on the West Coast of the United States."

Good morning to everyone

Good morning, friends.

How to play the flexatone:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLei42rf7Mc
-
Next up: how to call people using two tin cans and a piece of string.
-
Good morning, all.
-
:)
-
I don't have nervous tics. I'm just playing "Flight of the Bumblebee" on the flexatone.
-
The behavior and performance of Access-a-Ride and its employees is beyond the pale — exceptions being a few of the drivers who are wonderful. Seriously, how classically “civil service” “hate your job and the public you’re serving” can you get? Did they enter a contest or something?

The most frustrating thing about yesterday's assessment interview? The fact that I was treated as a new case and not as someone wishing to copntinue the service. They must have really shitty records.
-
Some fools on FB are speculating that yesterday's raid is another "Geraldo Rivera Al Capone's vault" fiasco.
I hope the raid finally reveals the stupdiity of the Trumpazoids.
-
For all the good things Facebook has brought into my life, it has also shown me how extremely diverse we are as a people...especially in regard to how ignorant many folks are.
I suppose that can be seen as a good thing. Someone posted the other day about how disconcerting it is to see MAGA hats being proudly worn. I find that rather comforting...because those people are letting me know I needn't waste my time on them.
I suppose if I had a missionary spirit....but, no. If they have allowed themselves to go that far into idiocy, I don't suppose anything would make them face how stupid they have been.

Political rant over.

But...I'm retired.
I don't want to and I don't HAVE to.
Sorta...

Exactly. Don't even go there. Literally NO good will come of it.
I don't even look into a barrage of comments to an individual FB post -- except when it's a subject I'm passionate about -- but NEVER when it's obvious political quicksand.

I just spoke to a nice lady about my eligibility. I am eligible again, I had to wait for the AAR computers to update. I won't officially be eligible or canceled until I get the AAR decidion in the next three weeks, but at the moment I can still use the service.
-
Very good news, DR elmore3003! You were due for some.

Good news DR ELMORE.

Whew! Finally some good(ish) news!
-
Today feels longer than yesterday.
-
I need a chair massage.
-
I need a vacation.
-
I need … well, whatever it is I need, I probably won’t get it.
-
At least not for a few hours.
-
How about some pizza with roasted beet pesto, kale, and goat cheese?
-
Or cupcakes?
-
I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of sleep.
-
Groggy and phlegmy.
-
Thatch, Stella, and I had a nice nap between 1:30 and 2:30. I then fed the cats and got myself a snack.
-
Does anyone think Trump will soon flee the country? I keep hoping, but I also think his ego and bluster are so enormous that he'll stupidly keep protesting his innocence to his supporters.
-
Groggy and phlegmy can be sung to the tune of “Wishin’ and Hopin’.
I just tried it.
-
DR Elmore, congratulations on maintaining your eligibility!
-
DR Jrand, Kay is adorable!
-
DR Elmore, I’m worried about Trump’s base and their reaction to yesterday’s raid.
I’m afraid this makes them even more loyal to him, and they will use our law enforcement’s “tyranny” as an excuse to use their Second Amendment rights.
I hope I’m wrong.
-
I was not encouraged by the remarks I heard last night from MAGA loyalists.
They were going out of their “minds”.
-
I do hope that this time, Trump faces the consequences of his actions and that justice prevails.
We shall see.
-
In a court ruling today, it was decided that Trump must reveal his taxes.
There must be ketchup all over the place.
😊
-
DR Singdaw, I enjoyed the video you shared on how to play the flexatone.
Had no idea that it produced that sound! Very cool.
-
Break a leg vibes to Jrand and BK!
-
DR Vixmom, I’m pleased that you are feeling much better.
-
Bye for now. 🦋

Those are all the photos I have.....but thanks everyone.....Kay is doing her arabesque onstage.....she takes jazz and ballet at the Mooresville Arts Partnership.....
Sweet. I enjoyed the photos.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned. If so, here it is again.
On this date in history, Aug. 9, 1974, Richard Nixon became the first President of the United States to resign from office.
-
Will never forget the sight of him waving goodbye as he boarded his helicopter.
-
You are welcome, DR Dear Lurker Iris!
-
Also on this date in history, in 1173, construction was begun on a little bell tower in Pisa, Italy. It opened 199 years later. But it appears the contractor's final bill was not paid.
-
;D
-
Funny thing is, if this had happened to a Democrat president, they'd be calling for his head, they'd be in the streets chanting lock him/her up. His loyalists are delusional - there's really no other way to say it. He's doing what he's always done - bluster, play the victim when there's a problem - how people cannot see this pattern that's gone on for decades is astonishing to me.
-
Good afternoon.
-
My family will miss their connection this evening, due to the fact that they sat on the runway for several hours for some kind of airplane repairs. I have no idea when they will get home. They were supposed to arrive tonight.
-
I'm wondering if everyone who missed connections will be rebooked during the 11-hour flight.
-
Gratuitous post 99!
-
I would not like a delay in an 11-hour trip.
-
Here is the only political statement I will ever make online:
It will be impossible to impanel an impartial jury for Donald Trump.
-
I would not like a delay in an 11-hour trip.
Especially with a 3-year-old.
-
And that's an 11-hour segment. There are four segments to this trip.

SAFE TRAVEL VIBES FOR YOUR FAMILY.
Are you picking them up at the airport?

It is bad enough for short flights.

You are probably correct.

No. I hope he can run around at the airport.

Hello, everyone.

Today was hairdresser, followed by grocery shopping.
Tomorrow is osteopath.
Thursday is a webinar.
Plus lots of little stuff.

I watched a new Australian series on Acorn TV, called DARBY AND JOAN. The first episode was quite good, the second less so. I'll watch again.
-
Travel vibes to DR Laura's family.
Getting-around-town vibes to DR Elmore, as well as renewed AAR eligibility.
JOSEPH vibes to Jrand & Company.

All-purpose vibes to all.

I had never heard of a flexatone, but now feel duly enlightened.

Starting Randy Rainbow’s autobiography, Playing with Myself. It’s quite funny so far.

Why are we still on this page?

Let’s fix that.

It looks interesting. I hope the rest of the episodes are equal to the first one.

Wow...those are some beautiful cupcakes!

I hadn't heard that! Hallelujah!
-
Goodreads sends me emails when books on my "want to read" list are released.
-
I then check the book status at my library to see if the book is also available to borrow.
-
At best, if I don't already have one, all I can do is put a hold on the book.
-
To my shock, the library got the book in today, and I was able to borrow it.
-
I have had that happen with hard cover books over the years, however, this is the first time it has ever happened with my eBook library.
-
I did a double take to be sure my eyes weren't deceiving me.
-
I just read a story of a father who was kicked off the plane, and threatened that he would be arrested, as his two year old wouldn't sit in the seat and wanted to be held. The father said his other flights permitted him to hold the child.
The first comment under the story:
Everyone knows, a 25 month old either needs to be placed under the seat or stored in the overhead bins.
After that, others had fun with their comments.
-
I couldn’t get the disc of The Worst Person in the World to play, so I haven’t been able to finish the movie. Until now. And it start right where it left off.
-
'night
-
Loved that movie. And a great performance from the leading actress.
-
I have strenuously avoided newscasts today because they have all been about you-know-what down in you-know-where. And they are giving voice to all the you-know-whats proclaiming foul play.
But tonight, I broke my vow and watched Lawrence O'Donnell. I don't know why....but I am very glad I did.
He delightedly reported that while all the networks have been covering the outrage, the ridiculous threats by Republican politicians and the call for a war by a social media moron, absolutely NOTHING happened.
Yes, there has been some grandstanding, especially at Fox News (the idiot propaganda station), but O'Donnell said there are some 5 million Trump supporters in Florida alone. Outside of a handful holding signs and flags outside Mar-a-Lago, none of those millions lifted a finger. They went on with their lives. There are 71 million Trump supporters in the U.S., and none of them went to war or particularly did more than make comments if a news person asked them to react.
The social media moron who called for war...well, in addition to his million or so followers he apparently slept in. No one went to war.
Hi-Ho!
-
To my shock, the library got the book in today, and I was able to borrow it.
Nice!
-
Randy Rainbow has a touching section in his book on Sondheim. Enjoying this book more than I thought I would.

Exciting, I know.

I’m beginning to fade.

Think I will call it a night.
-
Sorry to have been absent this evening.
-
I was at a small dinner party in Wisconsin.
-
Some very interesting folks, including a 90-year old firecracker who, if she had written a memoir, would have had a best-seller.
-
Salmon was served.
-
And butter cake with strawberries for dessert.
-
My glucometer will not be happy tomorrow morning.
-
But that is still not enough to take us to page six.
-
But I guess it did after all.
-
Good night, friends.
-
My test this morning was negative
-
So I went to work
-
I masked the entire day, although I took lunch by myself in my car so I could demask for am hour
-
Vixdad was home today and he took me to dinner
-
IHOP
-
Where I had my beloved Cali Turkey sandwich
-
It’s sliced turkey, bacon, avocado, grilled cherry tomatoes on grilled multigrain bread
-
I love it
-
I ordered fruit as my side but kept it for tomorrows breakfast
-
When we had just gotten home the Vixter called and we all chatted for over an hour
-
Then I dozed intermittently
-
I’ve woken up but will now attempt to get back to sleep
-
Think I will call it a night.
What else would you call it?? :o

Forgot to post my Wordle but it was 6 /6

Finished with my viewing - another standard issue Netflix documentary. Can't even tell them apart anymore.
-
Stumble-through was fun, I had two tacos for dinner, then watched the three episodes.
-
I made the mistake of reading some of the comments below a news story about the Mar A Lago raid......it is an alternate universe - and it is densely populated.....
And I am terrified thinking what these morons are going to do after the midterms. You just watch all the crap those Republicans are going to do to the Democrats.
-
I heard one of the Trump-ites out side of Mara-logo saying he and the other idiots should succeed from the Union. I guess no one ever told him he had to have an entire state to succeed.

Today was the last rehearsal for The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong before we have an audience!
-
Tomorrow, we're having invited guests be the audience...knowing that it's still a rehearsal.
-
Thursday will actually be a pay-what-you-can rehearsal.
-
And then we'll officially open on Friday and play for three weekends.
-
I actually won't be there for this Saturday's performance, because my friend Margo and I are going to Seattle to meet our friend David and see the national tour of Hamilton!
-
It'll be at the Paramount Theatre.
-
I wish I knew what was wrong with my left hand. For the last couple weeks, my thumb started to go to sleep on me especially when I’m driving. Then on Saturday morning I woke up in terrible pain mostly in my thumb. I mean it was worse than any toothache I’ve ever had or any kidney stones. Yesterday and today, I woke up between four and five in the morning and the pain in my thumb and my whole upper part of my hand was so severe I started to scream I had I had to chew on my pillow. Finally by 6 AM I couldn’t stand it so both days I took a painkiller, knowing I couldn’t go anywhere for the rest of the day, but I couldn’t stand the pain any longer, either.
-
I thought that it was going to be at the 5th Avenue, but I just looked it up and it's at the Paramount.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.

Just asking.

Hopefully, it'll get better, or you'll at least be able to get it looked at!

Only four more posts to Page 8!

Not a single soul.

This Lorin Hollander set's final CD is one of the most annoying things I've ever heard - modern music at its worst.

Looks like we made it!
