Well, you've read the notes, the notes were the sequel to the prequel of the sequel of yesterday's notes, and now it is time for you to post until the prequel sequel cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: NIRVANA!
-
I am sorry I missed last evening., I went into a the bedroom around six o’clock, I watched part of the news, and suddenly my bed swallowed me up, and didn’t spit me out until a few mianutes ago.
-
The doctor told me to call the pain clinic and suggest they order x-rays on my neck and then he gave me a prescription. He said the pills were not a narcotic, so it isn’t going to freak out my pain clinic.
-
He kind of let a couple of zingers toward the inaction by the pain clinic without actually criticized them.
-
I hate to say anything to jinx it, but after one day the pills seem to be helping already.
-
Well, it is kind of creepy hanging around here this late talking to myself. So, I think I will see if I can get some more sleep. If not, I shall return.
-
Good night our good morning. Whichever applies.
-
Good morning, all!
-
What a weird night! I slept fitfully, on and off, driving Annabelle and Thatch crazy and frustrating myself by my inability to get to sleep, I did have two very strange dreams, the first of which I no longer remember. All I do remember is waking up and saying to Thatch, I just had the strangest dream.
-
The second was all over the map. I was walking down a misty, late night street and I think I was told I was in Philadelphia. I walked up a flight of steps and I was in a subway station. Then I was riding a train with my dad. We ended up in Hollywood, and I was in an office of a company that produces jazz records. Then there was some nonsense involving several lady singers, who were lesbian but they explained they had to have sex with the man who ran the company. At some pointy mty dad was no longer around.
Then I went to dinner at a house where the maid was one of those singers, now an indentured servant, and there was some brouhaha about helping her ot of her indentures.
-
Around 8:40 last night, my brother Randy called me. The City of Middletown and the perospective buyers have reached agreements on the pond, the wall, and the building. Next Thursdfay, the 25th, they meet to discuss the driveway. Hopefully, if this is the end, we will close on Aug. 29 or 30. Since I think this is bullshit, I 'm not holding my breath.
-
OMG, DR elmore3003. Can this saga be almost at the end? ~~~MEGA VIBES~~~

Good morning, friends.

It sounds like the "curtain" speech needs to be re-named the "loo" speech.
Let's bump up the lights and see if you have any questions.

:)
-
Good morning, all.
-
I will check out both Orphan and its prequel one day soon.
-
I can enjoy both sequels and prequels as long as they’re - you know - good.
But what absolutely squicks me out in these current days of motion picture technology is the electronic altering of a person’s voice or the CGI’ing of their body to age or especially to de-age them. A couple of examples: Jeff Bridges’ voice to make him sound younger in the early scenes of Tron Legacy (he sounds like he’s underwater), and whatever various things they did to Mike Douglas in the Liberace movie.
-
Good morning.
-
Oh my goodness, Elmore. Fingers crossed!
-
We were going to go over to son's house to help install a ceiling fan, but we got a text that Grandson is sick and not to come over. I hope it's nothing serious.
-
DR Jrand 71, I loved your intermission account. I'm happy the show went well, as well.

Best of luck and vibes and all that jazz for the sale of the property!

Couldn’t have said it better.

Dreams were weird. I got a job singing and dancing to a projected image of Let’s Face the Music and Dance. Soon they were adding other numbers. I don’t remember what they were or who Ginger was.
-
Well done, DR Jrand71. Well done, sir.
Perhaps also have a song prepared for next time?

I never answered the worst sequel question the other day. Unquestionably it was Speed 2.
-
I had to look up prequel lists and realized I hadn’t seen many of them. The only one cited that I love is Godfather II.

I feel bad now. Sometimes I check out a book to read a little bit of it. I hate knowing that I might be reducing the number of times it can be read before having to be purchased again.
I'm also sure that you're not the only one who does that.
Is there a way to know which books are sold that way?
-
From DR Jrand:
Well the sold out show was very good tonight - probably the best the cast has had.
The audience wasn't very laugh conscious, but the applauded and there was a full standing ovation from the beginning of the bows.
Congratulations.

DR George I had to look up "doob" ;D

Not from the patron side.
-
In my work, I have access to the OverDrive website, so I can see which titles have a metered license and which are the unlimited one patron/one check-out (purchase) model.
-
I put together the shelf unit I bought. It's not entirely what I want, so I won't buy more, but it will certainly work. I filled it quickly.

Too bad. Fortunately I don't do that very often.

If I were to ask you to look would it be time consuming or just a couple of minutes to look up a book?

Nearing the end of David McCullough’s The Johnstown Flood. Scary stuff. Have we learned our lessons?
-
Is the book good or should I just read the short version about the flood?
-
Don’t read the book. Not one of his best. There’s not a human center. Good research. Plenty of anecdotes.

Most, if not all, books on the libraries' OverDrive sites have samples of the first few pages, so if that's not enough, I can look them up without any problem. It's a quick and simple process.

Thanks. Mostly I check out a book I have previously read to refresh my memory before discussing it with my book group. Reading bits gives me a better feel for the book if I don't want to re-read it.

I don't know of there are any Kindle readers on HHW, but Amazon has several of them on sale at the moment. Included in the sale is the Kindle Paperwhiite for $110 and the Kindle Oasis for $200. But the best bargain is the highest rated Kindle the Paperwhite Signature Edition on salle for $149.99.
Honestly, I do not work for Amazon or Kindle (one in the same?) I just thought they were a good deal.
-
I am feeling rather strange today. I know nothing new for me. After feeling better when I went to bed last night, I woke up in terrible pain. The longer I am out of bed, the better I am starting to feel.
-
I am thinking that I will need to adjust my bed. I am not sure if I need to sleep with it higher or lower. I am thinking higher would be better, more like sleeping in a recliner. I hope that higher is correct, because I don't think I could ever sleep flat again. Even with the oxygen, it would be hard to breathe.
-
Maybe I just need to give the pills a few days to start working before I start changing everything around.
-
WARNING: This post contains a mention of bodily functions. If this offends you, please skip this post.
The pills are actually capsules, bright-yellow capsules. And this morning i saw the first effect of the capsules, bright-yellow urine.
-
I'll bet you read it anyway!
-
Both cats seem to understand the pain I am suffering. Even Sasha at night has started to lay on my side with her head looking up at me. Usually, when she sleeps on the bed with me in the evening when I am reading or watching TV, she always has her head facing away from me.
-
Good afternoon three Guests!
What is your favorite X-rated movie?
-
I wonder if I can fill up the rest of this page with my drivel?
-
Good grief. It is after two 0'clock. I think I should head out to the store. The cats are currently locked way in my (our) bedroom. I guess it is time to go.
-
I hope maybe John, or Jane, or perhaps slingblade will come alone and take us to page five.
-
I"m always up for some drivel.
-
Or a lot of it.
-
Hello, everyone.

Hope you continue to improve, DR TCB.

Good news on the property sale! I know it's not done yet, but this is very encouraging.
Vibes the agreements are completed this coming week and the sale proceeds!
-
TCB, I'm glad you now have pain pills that help you and that your doctor has compassion toward your condition.
What are the pills that you're taking?
-
I had a very bad night. Last night I was having visual disturbances -- really frightening -- which I now think were a migraine. I haven't had migraines in many years, ever since I started taking Neuro Mag, a form of magnesium that's very good for migraines. My doctor thinks I take too much magnesium, so I cut back a bit, and I think that's what prompted it. I've told him many times that I NEED this much, but I don't think that young, healthy people understand what it's like to have chronic pain or how to deal with it. So I'm back on my usual magnesium doses. I will need to tell him about this, though.
-
I feel pretty rotten today and am taking it easy.
