I am still trying to understand something DR JOHN G wrote yesterday:
What is this "leftover pie" he was talking about?
Joseph est mort.
And I got a nice quilt as a present. I put it over one of the Barcelona chairs - Miss Allison Hayes looks on from the other one.

At my mom's today, we had strawberry-rhubarb pie for dessert. It was store bought, but it was the first time that I actually like it.
I have to confess, l haven’t understood a single word today during the conversation between George and Jane.
I already elevate my bed about 30 degrees

Thanks, DR CHAS SMITH.....the other side as you can barely see.....is designed like the rest of the coat....and very attractive pattern.

And they have a much nicer chocolate-to-donut ratio than the standard store-bought chocolate frosted donut.
I, too, was at a church this morning, giving my best imitation of a competent substitute pianist.
I think I failed at the "best" part this time. But there was no bloodshed, and as far as I could tell, everyone walked away with all limbs intact.
I have started The Personal Librarian. I’m enjoying it so far, but I wonder at the characterization of Elsie de Wolfe, aka Lady Mendl.
This morning I was in the church nursery. We did puzzles.
DR John, feel free to make more observations as you read. I will save use them to refresh my memory :)
DR JohnG, I've been meaning for weeks to ask you if you've seen this PBS series "The Great American Recipe?" I'm really enjoying it.

Not yet.
One word:
Martini.
Thank you.
If a copy of The Personal Librarian was available I would have asked DR George if it was a metered license book.

DR JANE you are trying to make me work on my ME DAY!

When you hear that Lady Mendl standing up
Now does a handspring landing up on her toes
Anything goes.
All I know are the Cole Porter references.

It's metered. The audio edition has both options. I didn't know that.
I guess my anything goes topic for today will be what is the most fun or unusual thing that you have seen/done at a cast/strike party?

I can answer that. Many, many years ago, after a Bluth Brothers Theatre production I did, there was a cast party at Don and Fred Bluth's parents' house. It was the first time I'd ever eaten sloppy joes. But the star of the show/party was when Don Bluth, then an animator of birds at Disney, did his bird imitation. It was incredible! To draw birds you must of course first observe them carefully. He clearly had and had the movements down perfectly (for a human). I'll never forget it.
I had a slice of French silk pie after supper tonight.
In other news, I have been invited to participate in the Nielsen survey.

I just sent a Facebook PM to a name that popped up on FB as someone I might know. I recognized the name as the daughter of friends of my parents. So I wrote here. I have no idea if she will ever see my message.
DR VIXMOM have you checked your numbers yet?
Vixmom, I looked at both Google and Bing Maps last night, and I couldn't be sure about this because neither of them has street views where you'd need them, but on the satellite views it looks like that eastbound road from the beach does connect with Cedar Ct. in Kismet, the westernmost community of Fire Island. A street view would tell us if it's blocked off, but I do see a few vehicles on those streets.

DR vixmom has gone incognito.
Enjoy your evening, George.
This is the channel between Long Island and Fire Island

DR TCB I wasn't expecting you to mention Gabapentin. That is very interesting, in the true meaning of the word.
