Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a fish story, and now it is time for you to post until the fishy cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: KRUMKAKE!
-
I just received an emai the other day from the guys from the Broadway-style boy band COLLABRO, Letting me know they have decided to disband for now, and do other projects
-
Hi TCB.
I may have missed this, but I was wondering if you are under the care of a physiatrist.
-
Their version of “Stars”from LEE MIZ is still terrific! They had such great harmoanies.

Hi TCB.
I may have missed this, but I was wondering if you are under the care of a physiatrist.
Hi, Iris! I have had a whole bag of doctors, but I seem to be outliving all of them.
-
My British friends will be sorry to hear that COLLABRO are no longer together.
They sent me a video of them singing “Stars” on Britain’s Got Talent.
Great, or as they say in England, “brilliant”. 😊
-
Also known as PM&R
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
I am afraid I don’t know anything about them.
-
My brother was a physiatrist, and he had some success with chronic pain patients.
I was hoping that you were seeing a doctor who specialized specifically in pain.
-
I would be happy to do some research.
It might make a world of difference.
-
aapmr.org
Check it out, and let me know what you think.
-
Puyallup? Is that the right city?
I do see a pain practice there.
Happy to provide info.
-
Thad is very nice of you. Thank you
-
I have had fibromyalgia, and the pain was relentless.
So, yeah, I get it.
Hang in there.
-
Will do some research.
Good night, birthday boy! 😊
-
Good morning, all!
-
I would love to go back to bed and miss today's appointment. I like my dctor, but I have no urge to leave the apartment.
-
My legs are killing me this morning. Getting dressed and walking into the kitchen were two things my body had no wish to accomplish.
-
Josh Groban as Sweeney Todd? No, I do not see it. I think the role might blow his voice to hell.
-
There was a time when Tewrry Gilliam was intrerested in making a film of Bernstein's Candide. What I found interesting in the photos of Into the Woods was the set. What is that huge vase of flowers have to do with Cindferella and Rapunzel lives in a can of vegetables?
-
Good morning, friends.
-
DR George, I have always really LOVED Heidi Grant Murphy's voice.

BK's story sounds very FISHY, indeed.

Funny how gratuitous male frontal nudity is “crass” but we are constantly bombarded with gratuitous female nudity and that’s just fine
-
Speaking of vomit scenes... I have never seen The Exorcist.
-
But I have read the Mad Magazine parody of same.

And then there are ...

SPIDER SCENES.

Good morning, all.

Lest we forget the Mr. Creosote scene in Monty Python’s Meaning of Life. The ultimate vomit scene.

Aren’t we tasteful this morning?

Gratuitous nudity? Ungratuitous nudity? Bring it.

It’s my policy to never forget the Mr. Creosote scene.

Had a bout of insomnia last night or this morning. Read some poetry and some Woody Allen shorts, including one about My Pillow, and nothing helped.

I now wait for Access-a-Ride. I really hope they are on time.

TOO LATE!
Once again, AAR managed to screw up everything. Realluy pisses me off.
-
AAR asks us to allow 30 minutes for car to arrive, but my appointment was at 9:340, and every time I scheduled a pickup ride for today, I was offered either a pickup time of 8:20 or 9:05. I decided 9:05 was the better choice rather than sit in a waiting room forever.
-
So, this morning I called at 8:35 to see how transportation looked. The young lady I s-16 poke to said they had not yet assigned a car. I then got a text message telling me I could track my ride 15 minutes before travel time. Thinking this was a p[ositive move, I went to the lobby to wait for a car.
-
Around 9:00 I called again. Still, no car had been assigned. Then I got a text message saying my ride would arrive in 62 minutes!
I called my HMO and canceled my appointment and came home. At 9:05 the driver called to tell me he was here. I told him I would not be traveling with him today. Then I called AAR and canceled my ride home after my appointment.
-
God, do I hate my existence.
-
I cannot attest to the veracity of this information.

Not a question but I thought you’d like to know that I came across to items for The Creature Wasn’t Nice (That’s how it was billed ) on EBay. They were 2x 2 tranperancies. One was the cast in the space ship and other was Cindy on the planet. They were sent to Show time and The Movie Chanel for promotional purposes.

J.B., the guard bird, started screaming during team meeting this morning. Turns out an enormous mastiff had somehow gotten access to the backyard. Weird.
He disappeared after he saw me, which was fine because I had no idea how he got in in the first place.
-
Josh Groban as Sweeney Todd? No, I do not see it. I think the role might blow his voice to hell.
My thought is that he'll protect his voice and sound too "pretty," and he won't act with his voice at all.
-
DR George, I have always really LOVED Heidi Grant Murphy's voice.
She had an incredibly beautiful voice, even in undergrad college.

From DR TCB:
Yes I’m taking a new medicine and no it isn’t working. I swear I’m not a crybaby but thinks pain is horrible
Pain is horrible, and a severe pinched nerve is extremely painful. I am sorry the new medicine isn't working.
-
DR TCB chocolate cheesecake sounds like a perfect birthday treat. Congrats on your upcoming 29th anniversary.

From TCB:
Not many at my high school that I can think of. Of course, there is Ted Bundy, but I don’t think he went on to greatness

Hi TCB.
I may have missed this, but I was wondering if you are under the care of a physiatrist.
Hmmm, I thought that was the pain doctor. I should have asked.
-
My brother was a physiatrist, and he had some success with chronic pain patients.

Our son the doctor has told me to go to one.
-
I have had fibromyalgia, and the pain was relentless.
So, yeah, I get it.
Hang in there.
Did seeing a physiatrist help with your fibro?
-
BK , have you seen a GI specialist about your nausea and chronic heartburn?
I would like to know why he hasn't, or at least gone to a doctor for a prescription to take BEFORE eating.

I will pass.
-
Having computer problems. Zoom specifically. It’s taking my lunch hour to get them fixed.
-
After I got settled, the pain meds I took before stepping out landed, and I spent three hours or so in a semi-conscious statewith Stella and Thatch. The tizanidine also dries out my mouth, so I've been chugging water like mad.
-
Well, this is an interesting coinkydink (to me, at least)...right now, John and Larry's post numbers are EXACTLY 10,000 apart! ;D

We got out for a walk today before it hit 90 degrees. With a nice breeze, and plenty of shade, we were very comfortable.

After 46 years, Label's Table on Pico (near Factor's) closed last year. I had no idea they had another location.
-
Bruce, pastrami is on the list of foods NOT to eat if you suffer from GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
-
It seems to me that "pastrami on rye" would be a great substitute curse phrase! :D
-
And if you eat pastrami, perhaps you'd have a reason to curse.
-
And, of course, our dear DR vixmom does it in cursive.
-
So there's that.

DR Jane, in answer to your question about fibromyalgia:
I was helped by acupuncture, massage therapy and yoga.
But the most important factor was, and still is, getting enough sleep.
-
When I don’t get at least 8 straight hours of uninterrupted sleep, I get sick.
Terrible pain, headaches, nausea.
-
I’m a light sleeper and very sensitive to noise and light.
It’s an ongoing struggle.
-
Back to John from Cincinnati. Really liking it.
-
I plan to sell my current condominium because the building is incredibly noisy.
Constant renovations, making it impossible to get a good night’s sleep.
This became worse during Covid, as many of the residents decided to renovate while out of town in Florida, and cash in.
-

You are lucky then if you can get enough sleep. I do believe Glycine is helping me sleep better.

Sounds about right, though that happens to me with less than 6 hours.

It’s an ongoing struggle.
Fortunately those don't bother me too much.

Aren't there restricted hours that people can make noise? We have very strict rules regrading the hours work can be done.

You are fortunate to be able to tolerate heat.
I’m unable to take walks if temps are over 75 degrees.
I took daily 3-4 hour walks when I lived in California.
Have not been able to go outside in 4 months…hottest summer that I have ever experienced in Maryland.
-
'night
-
There should be restricted hours for construction.
Rules here are ignored.
Some mornings, the banging and installation of hardwood floors begins at 7AM.
I’m a night person, and usually fall asleep well after midnight, actually closer to 1AM.
-
Good night, Jane.
Sleep well.

Back to John from Cincinnati.
Does John make chili?

Thank you for the vibes, Jane,

I will look into Glycine.

I am intrigued by that, too.

Good night, friends.

Thank you. Singdaw.

Hello, 1 guest!

Good night, all.
-
I tried watching a horrid little "now" rip-off of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Forty-five minutes was plenty.
-
I just had to update my tablet.
-
That's always scary, but it seems like everything's okay.

Tomorrow night begins the last weekend of The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong.
-
Our director and her husband, who is in the play, had a death in their family, so they won't be here this weekend. :(
-
Fortunately, his role (the scripted light and sound board operator) has very few lines and will be played by the co-director of the show.
-
I'm the ACTUAL light and sound board operator, so that will happen without any problem. ;D
-
Had a bout of insomnia last night or this morning. Read some poetry and some Woody Allen shorts, including one about My Pillow, and nothing helped.

-
Hi, Tom. How are you this evening?
-
Hi TCB.
I may have missed this, but I was wondering if you are under the care of a physiatrist.
Hmmm, I thought that was the pain doctor. I should have asked.
You know, I am wondering if that is the confusion around my doctors. Dr. McCaleb was shocked when I said that the doctor at the pain clinic didn’t order x-rays for the pain in my hand. I am going to a “pain clinic” and he is thinking it more like the PB&J that Iris was talking about.
-
I have been shocked by this pain clinic. They take a urine test to make sure I am taking my pills and not selling them on the street for $5.00 a pill. I have bring my pill bottle in each time so they can out that I am using the correct number of pills. The PA sees me for about ten minutes, asks about pain level at that moment, and sends me on my way.
-
And that costs me $45.00
-
And that costs me $45.00
Wow. :-\
-
It reminds me of these Protective Payees that get assigned to SSA and welfare clients who can’t be trusted topay there own bills. These PP’s Get a cut off the top for handling these clients money, but mostly just hand over the money no questions asked.
-
Vibes for TCB, Larry, and all who need them.
Good night, all.
Sleep well.
Good night Iris.
-
Our director and her husband, who is in the play, had a death in their family, so they won't be here this weekend. :(
You should offer to use their house for the cast party anyway.
-
George, have you ever held the cast party for a show you were in?
-
George, have you ever held the cast party for a show you were in?
No. Every place I've lived has been too small...although where I live now has a clubhouse, so that's a posibility.
-
But other people who've hosted cast parties have all lived fairly close to the performance spaces, and my place is further away.
-
I think our clubhouse has to close at 11:00p.m.
-
Easy to find, but not too close.
-
Plus our guest parking is terrible
-
I think our clubhouse has to close at 11:00p.m.
I don't know what time ours closes, but it's not very late, either.
-
Plus our guest parking is terrible
Ditto!
-
Oh yeah, plus the fact that I am never going to do another show.

Maybe there's a narrator role that you'd be perfect for...or Madame Armfeldt in an all-male (or gender-fluid) A Little Night Music! ;D

Back in the 90’s, when I lived in a mobile home out on South Hill, I was doing a show. Nobody had a place and I kiddingly said I would host it but no one would want to come. Everyone got all excited, but I said I was kidding because no one would want to drive out. They kept saying it would be too far, they all said wasn’t a problem.
Finally I said yes, we had the party, and all anyone could talk about was how far away my house was.
