Good morning, friends.

:)
-
BK - if I were you, I'd mask up and not remove it on the plane (nor eat). Catching COVID would not be helpful to your schedule in the upcoming weeks. But that's just me.
-
How are the songs being handled in these episodes - are they be recorded live in real time? Are you using tracks, or will there be an accompanist on site?
-
Good morning, all!

The doctor supervising my radiation treatments in January and February was the head of Lenox Hill Hospital's radiation dept. I liked him very much, Well, he has left for aother position, and my scheduled appointment today was to be my first time since February to see him.
Instead, I will be seeing his replacement. I have no idea what I'm in for today.

Vixmom, if you want to come be in an episode, Friday Sept 20 we're at The Cutting Room club where we need audience members, and if that doesn't work, Monday Oct 3 we're at The Triad doing more club stuff.
That sounds like fun, but as I feared, it will be during work days so I won’t be able to be there. I shall have to settle for just seeing the series.

Completely wrong, but awfully sweet

For those who haven’t Wordle’d yet, the word is not beaut or built or brain.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Exhausted. Double rehearsals yesterday, and tonight’s is going to be a late one. Thankfully, we’re off tomorrow and Saturday.
-
The humidity is killing me. After kitty cleanup and my trip to the basement, I took my bath, By the time I finished makinfg the bed and my second cuppa coffee, I was as wet as if I were still in the tubv. I a positive that as soon as I step outside the rains will begin and last until I am soaking wet for both trips.
-
I'd like to reschedule, but it's too late now.
-
So, on Oct. 2, after the get-together, I am counting on a ride home from either DRvixmom or DR ChasSmith. Whoever ends up being the lucky one, I look forward to seeing both of you.
-
DR elmore3003, I have something for you to orchestrate...

DR Elmore, I’m the one leaving the city going north, and I am more than happy to be le chauffeur.
NOTES TO PASSENGERS:
"Please have your $2.75 ready in exact change."
"Don't bother complaining about the service. I get there when I damn well feel like it, and there's nothing to be done about it."
-
How about the trip down? I can stop by on the way in, too.
-
I'll find a garage in the theeder district (vixmom, what do you recommend?) and I can let you out right in front of Joe Allen or wherever we're going to be, then retrieve the car and pick you up right there, too.
-
DR CHAS SMITH can you pick me up, too?
It's only 748.5 miles out of your way.
-
Finalizing vibes for MR BK.
-
Liking the replacement vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
Elvis and Jesse are sharing a perch and I heard a couple of chirps this morning......so we shall see.
I shall take some photos tomorrow or so....

I’d have asked for the same, but I’ll be gone by then.

Today is national ice cream cone day. ;D :D

Have we heard ffom BK and chosen a place and time to meet?

I've been using the Park Whiz app with fairly good results.
Not sure if Ill be driving in or taking the LIRR. If Chas is definitely playing chaffeuer I may take the train

DR Jrand72, I would like you to teach your birds to sing CHIRI-BIRI-BIM.

From DR John:
I’ve started the Elvis film. It’s dreadful. Tom Hanks’s worst performance. Baz Luhrmann is a hack. Austin Butler is the only good thing about it.
And I still have two hours left.
Oh no. Are you really going to finish watching it?
-
BK - if I were you, I'd mask up and not remove it on the plane (nor eat). Catching COVID would not be helpful to your schedule in the upcoming weeks. But that's just me.
I agree, except it is a long flight without anything to drink. I suggest buying a bottle of water to drink as it is much easier than using a plastic cup on the plane.

I'm happy to report that my supply of Ronsonol arrived, and it worked LIKE A CHARM in removing all the sticky goo from those old Varese CD case stickers. So if any of you also got CD perks from the Indiegogo campaign, THAT is the way to go. Thank you for your great suggestion, DR ChasSmith!
-
How about the trip down? I can stop by on the way in, too.
I would love that! It beats waiting ort hoping Access-a-Ride shows up.

I have good news: the prostate canceris in remission. I see the doctr in six months.
Also, my weight is down to 167 lbs,, meaning that since my weighht loss began around 2018, I have lost around 80 lbs. I am almost to the weight I had in college.

DR vixmom, neither place nor time has been established for the HHW get-together on Oct. 2.

Amazing.

I know an American who was living in India at the time he had his hip replaced. What a difference compared to here. If I need a hip replacement I want to go to India to have it done.

Congratulations, Larry.

Ditto on that. I am so scared I will have to redo my shoulder as the pain keeps getting worse.

DR Larry, great news about your health!

Congrats to the skinny DR ELMORE on his remiss report.

I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of sleep, I think, but sporadic.

And not to get political, but Lawrence O'Donnell said this last night on his show:
Trump Could Now Lose Everything Including His Freedom (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rudrA-Y2DMM)
MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell analyzes the latest loss Donald Trump has faced in the Justice Department’s classified documents investigation and explains why the worst two days in Donald Trump’s life are the day he lost the 2020 election and today in light of that court decision and the lawsuit filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Curious, does anyone personally know a Trump supporter who has changed their opinion of him? I don't or they are being very quiet about it. I haven't actually asked.

Hello, everyone.

I have good news: the prostate canceris in remission. I see the doctr in six months.
Also, my weight is down to 167 lbs,, meaning that since my weighht loss began around 2018, I have lost around 80 lbs. I am almost to the weight I had in college.

In the U.S., we have the right to remain silent. But few have the ability.
Just ask Alex Jones' lawyer. (Who was quoted as muttering, "I'm not my client's keeper" on his way out of the courtroom.)
-
My BIL made it home last night. Strange to think of hip replacement surgery as being out-patient.
Yes, but many surgeries are now done on an out-patient basis.
Vibes for his speedy recovery.
-
I know an American who was living in India at the time he had his hip replaced. What a difference compared to here. If I need a hip replacement I want to go to India to have it done.
Much cheaper, too. Medical tourism has apparently become quite popular and has good reviews.
-
Good afternoon.
-
Great news from Elmore!
-
I went up north to a school to talk about butterflies. This was the in-person talk I've given since the pandemic hit.
-
Curious, does anyone personally know a Trump supporter who has changed their opinion of him? I don't or they are being very quiet about it. I haven't actually asked.
It is wise not to ask, methinks.
-
I booked my rides for next week's visit to the ophthalmologist. The drivers have been more reliable than DR Elmore's, but scheduling has always been a problem. They now have an automated voice. She speaks clearly with no accent, but she can't understand my speech! I had to repeat a phone number four or five times and she made the same error each time. She had the pick-up times confused with the appointment time and you can't ask any questions, just accept or cancel the booking. Gawd! Fortunately, I was able to talk to a real person, who spoke EXTREMELY fast, had an accent and was difficult to understand, but we managed to get the rides booked. Correctly, I hope.
-
We can perform open-heart surgery and put people on the moon, but we fail to perform mundane tasks competently.
I'll end my rant there.
-
Awaiting the Elvis/Jesse photos.

I remember talking to supporters of Nixon after Watergate. They talked about their disappointment and I offered sympathy. It was a much better time.

And now, I'm off to eat, pick up my fellow Olympia actor, then hie ourselves down to Centralia for the last night of this week's rehearsal.
Until later!

Glad you were able to give your talk, DR Laura.

I guess I can vamp for a few more posts.

Didn't Cher sing a song about a vamp?

We went out to our favorite Five Guys restaurant for dinner tonight
-
Only to discover the entire shopping center had been gutted
-
So we went to a Crepe place instead
-
We both had the thanksgiving crepe
-
Slices of turkey breast, stuffing, cranberry sauce and turkey gravy wrapped in a made to order crepe
-
With a side of soup or salad
-
Vixdad always opts for the salad, I prefer the homemade tomato bisque
-
And we each had a decaf hazelnut cafe latte
-
It was lovely

Oh, if you decide on Joe Allen’s, let me know. It would almost worth it to fly in just for the meal. I have always dreamed of sitting at a large table there, with a stunning group like us, while a group of tourists huddle around the bar trying to figure who the celebs are that are dining with BK!

It is quite a lucrative business on both sides of the border. The Mexican dentists, of course, make money; but there are a lot of motels on the U.S. side that work with the Mexican dentists to make it a vey smooth operation.

My mom stayed with her friends who live pretty close to the border, so the hotels didn't get any business from my mom. ;)

BK, will all my purchases be arriving at the same time?

No, but the motels provide a shuttle to and from the border. Much easier than having to drive your car thru customs.
