Well, you've read the notes, the notes were on the Internet, and now it is time for you to post until the Internet cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PROLIFERATE!
-
To continue from last night: another movie that I got in the same order with the two JCSS movies was the recent Blu-ray release of Flower Drum Song (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09VDVNLYY/).
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well. I remember a bit of my last dream: I was working on a music order at The Drama Book Shop. Usually I dream about the owners and working with them, but they were not in this dream, just me and shelves of scores.
-
DR Jeanne, how nice to see you stopped by last night. I'm very sorry about your credit cards.
-
I'm very happy that WFO finally has a room. DR vixmom, when you speak to him or see him, please give him my regards.
-
This morning is another Access-a-Ride trip to East 22nd Street. I'm seeing Dr Wong, the very pretty young doctor who discovered my cataracts when I saw her for a new glasses prescription last July or August. After I leave my HMO, I will go to City Center to see Joshie before I come home.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Barry Dennen.... didn't he mentor Barbra Streisand when she first got to New York City?
-
I have never seen The Avengers but I think I would like to.
-
I like the way the Internet has made things more convenient in a lot of ways, but it has also made destabilization more convenient, too. In my opinion, the negatives outweigh the positives.
-
~~~CONTINUED HEALING VIBES~~~ for former DR WFO.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Dreamt I was in an episode of the Avengers with sets designed by Henri Matisse.
-
Wordle and Phoodle in 3
-
And now I wait for Access-a-Ride. I'm told it will be on time. I hope so!
-
Today is my sister Annaliese’s 64th birthday.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Thank you all for the good wishes following our director's face plant Sunday night.
He's fine. The only thing they had to do after thoroughly checking him out in the ER was apply some surgical glue to a cut between his upper lip and the side of his nose. He is very lucky that he didn't land on his teeth, his nose, or even an eye. Very lucky indeed.
Good reminder from DR Ginny, too!
Watch your step, everyone. I think I've personally been very good at doing that for some time now, but I vow to be even better.
BIRTHDAY WISHES for the DS of DR John G.!!!!!
-
Happy Birthday to the sister of DR JOHN G.
-
Thanks to everyone for the thoughts for Vickie.
Yes, I knew Rick. He was very supportive of her and could be very funny.....one of my favorite things that he used to say [I will clean it up a bit for HHW]:
I've been to two world's fairs, the Indianapolis 500 race, and a goat copulation and I've never seen anything like that!
-
Vibes for DR JEANNE.....
-
Slow day at HHW.
From DR Vixmom:
I didn’t get to see Bill today because he still hadn’t been placed in a 4oom and they don’t allow guests in recovery
Wow, that is a long time to be in recovery, might be nice though.
-
Vixmom:
But the receptionist in the lobby brought his glasses and his cell phone to him
Two very important items, and he can talk when he feels like it. Did his phone include a charger?
-
DR Vixmom I missed the details. Was Bill's surgery a repair or a replacement?
-
DR George I expect you were relieved to be able to move your car, without assistance.
Yes I charged it up and brought the charger along as well
-
DR Vixmom I missed the details. Was Bill's surgery a repair or a replacement?
I was a repair. They had to put a rod in his leg bone
-
Please forgive me if I've missed vibes, I've been somewhat preoccupied
Vibes for Vickie and Jack and condolences on their loss
Access-a-Ride was a disaster. It cost $35.00 and a 45 minute tax ride to get to my appointment. The Access-a-Ride trip bacxk took an hour becase of traffic. But it only cost me $2.75.
-
I did manage while I was out to get $10.00 worth of Powerball tickets.
-
Joshie decided I should go home instead of to City Center and he would come to me to pick up the score. While he was here, we were talking about Dear World, and when I told him the dance arrangements for the show were by Dorothea Freitag - she's Lorraine on the cast recording of 70 Girls 70 - Joshie said, wasn't she involved in a murder? That rang a bell, so we started snooping on Google. Well, there's a book about it.
Happy Birthday wishes to Annaliese!
Oh my gosh, DR elmore3003 - that's wild!
-
I do wonder what's going to become of all these children that grew up in isolation during their formative years during the pandemic. Not to mention the negative effect of social media on persons just starting to establish their sense of self-worth. I think society is in for a heap of trouble (more than it is already).
-
It's already the Wild West out in public as concerns any consideration of others.
-
Oh my gosh, DR elmore3003 - that's wild!
The traffic in NYC is impossible these days. Getting downtown was a nightmare. The Access-a-Ride drivers use GPS, and someties you want to yell, Ignore it and take the West Side Highway!
-
$35 SMACKERS! Oy.
wow
Go on and hit it, Lorraine.
-
I love that song. I love that whole score.
-
A gracious good afternoon.
-
It does, indeed, seem to be a slow HHW day.
-
If others are having to wait as long as i have waited for the previous post to actually "post", it may have something to do with the dearth of posts.
-
Ah, well. That last one posted quickly.
-
Did I do that?
Did I start page 3?
-
Am washing clothes right now.
I do need to get out and buy a Powerball ticket...just because.
Wednesday TV is a bit of a drag!
-
And this region of South Carolina is also something of a drag on Wednesday afternoons. MOST businesses close at Noon if they open at all. That's because they are open on Saturdays and only want five-day work weeks.
It has been going on like that here for as long as I have been alive.
-
Me?
74, Boys and Girls, 74!
-
I'm up, I'm up - nine and a half hours of sleep with only a thirty minute interlude around four o'clock.
-
CDs are either ready now or will be in the morning - can't tell from the email.
-
DR Vixmom I missed the details. Was Bill's surgery a repair or a replacement?
I was a repair. They had to put a rod in his leg bone
The rod won't be fun. At least they could repair it.
-
Please forgive me if I've missed vibes, I've been somewhat preoccupied
Understandable. I hope the distance between you, Bill's home, and the hospital isn't too great.
-
Of course, right after posting the notes and changing the topic, I was about to make ninety posts when Spectrum went down. I called and the recording said no outage, so I got a nice gal on the phone and asked her not to tell me it was on me - and she didn't - scheduled all-night maintenance. I asked her why there is no advance notice and she said there was - but I've never gotten one, so she did whatever she did and now I will. When I was up at four, it was back on.
-
Bill also asked me to send his thanks for all the vibes
Please tell him once he is up to it, we would love to see a post or two from him letting us know how he is doing.
-
Not to mention the negative effect of social media on persons just starting to establish their sense of self-worth. I think society is in for a heap of trouble (more than it is already).
Craig doesn't even want to talk about how far behind his students are this year. Extra sad for him is that he likes all of them.
-
If others are having to wait as long as i have waited for the previous post to actually "post", it may have something to do with the dearth of posts.
I often have that problem, but not today so far.
-
Ah, well. That last one posted quickly.
I guess I missed the issue while away from the computer.
-
It has been going on like that here for as long as I have been alive.
Growing up doctors traditionally took Wednesday afternoons off and worked Saturday mornings.
-
In the summer my father often took me to one of the two children's amusement park near us on Wednesday afternoons.
-
I always waited in anticipation of his "early" arrival, always aware he might have to stay longer at work or have an emergency.
-
Back then doctors still made home visits or met their patients at the hospital.
-
So much has changed. So much. And not always for the better.
I guess I'm Mr. "Doom & Gloom" today. Sorry!
I never met a gluten I didn't like.
-
Or a starch, for that matter.
74, Boys and Girls, 74!
Not sure it has the same ring. But if you say so.
A starch in time saves nine.
Elaine Starch still wears a hat.
My email tells me that Martha Steward is celebrating Thanksgiving with apple cider bourbon sours.
Mabel Pritchard in At Long Last Love! She probably wouldn’t have appreciated that reference quite as much.
Had the pepperoni pizza thing for food. Very good.
Spent a lot of time on the phone with godaddy, trying to straighten out all of the outdated contact information they have on file. It's taken a WEEK, but I believe it's all fine how. The issue was back when they were actually hosting us (we left because of their reprehensible behavior) - we had so many issues that I had to put Doug Haverty on the account to deal with them, since he was dealing with the site by that point. So, all e-mails have been going to him - especially the renewal notices. So, I went to log in last week - my log-in info is all saved in the keychain - but it wouldn't let me - new security BS - they send a code and you have to enter it. Code supposedly went to Doug, who never got it. But my name and address is clearly on the account so what's the issue?
-
Old phone number, too. So, I called and they told me I had to scan my driver's license and send to their team and that it would take a few days to get me on. I did as I was asked.
-
A full WEEK later, I get an email saying the license wasn't enough and that I had to take a selfie with my face AND the license in the shot. I did so, but also wrote them a scathing reply, saying they had no right to do this when my name and address is on the account and my password and username clearly work and that I can't get on to get rid of these old email things and phone numbers. I told them either was able to log-in within twenty-four hours or they'd be hearing from my attorney.
-
That was last night. Today, not only was I able to log in, I was already logged in.
-
I couldn't see how to edit anything, so I called again - mind you, their contact number no longer appears anywhere on the site, which is also not really legal - you have to get it via Google - I got some guy who clearly didn't know what he was doing, who kept putting me on hold, and then finally said he'd send me an article on how to edit things - I told him no, I didn't want an article, thanked him for wasting twenty minutes of my time, and told him to get me a supervisor. I was put on hold for fifteen minutes.
-
I called back and eight minutes later got a nice gal on the phone, who told me exactly what to do to edit, we did it together, Doug's info is now gone, my old number is gone, and I'm the only one listed on the account now and all contact info is up-to-date.
-
It was all very infuriating.
-
I did some banking, too, but otherwise that's what I've been dealing with.
-
I haven't been in the mood to update commentary or finish choosing songs - I'll do that in a bit but I'm going to sit on my couch like so much fish.
-
And I don't care who knows it.
-
I really don't.
-
Not me.
-
Where the HELL is page five?
-
Do I need to make thirty posts?
-
Finally.
-
Having stuffed mushrooms for dinner.
-
Hungry tonight. The latest chicken recipe from Pepin I want to make is a chicken bouillabaisse with sausage.
-
-
That was last night. Today, not only was I able to log in, I was already logged in.
About time.
-
Sorry you had to deal with all of that, BK. What a hassle!
-
My main debit card account expires/renews sometime next year. I'm anticipating a nightmare. I'm not even sure of all the place I need to update it.
-
Only a few hours until we know if we all won billions of dollars.
-
But even if we did, we couldn't afford to buy Twitter.
-
Not that we'd want to.
-
What a headache.
-
It was all very infuriating.
I have had to deal with similar situations when, even though I am also clearly on an account, information will only be given to me if Keith first got on the phone and cleared it.
-
Having stuffed mushrooms for dinner.
Yum.
-
My main debit card account expires/renews sometime next year. I'm anticipating a nightmare. I'm not even sure of all the place I need to update it.
I thought they were automatically renewed.
-
Not long ago I was doing something online and the code was sent to Keith, except he wasn't here for me to get it ::)
-
Since he didn't forward the code to me, having not heard the text, I just waited until he came home and tried again.
-
Anyone ready to pay $8 a month for Twitter?
-
Watching more Avengers tonight. I’m on the last disc of this set.
-
I thought they were automatically renewed.
The card/account does, DR Jane. But the new expiration date and/or account number must be updated with every entity and website that I've used it for on subscriptions and recurring payments. That is the part I dread.
-
'night
-
Just out of curiosity, DR John G., what seasons/episodes of The Avengers are represented in that set? I've checked around, and it seems not many of the original episodes from Season One have survived. But the show does not appear to be available all in one place.
-
It’s the first season of Diana Rigg. I know the original season was with Honor Blackman.
-
This set is from StudioCanal. Says it’s The Avengers Volume 1.
-
It's bedtime for me. I have to be up early tomorrow. I have dental surgery in the morning.
-
I did go out and buy some QuikPiks for PowerBall.
-
Maybe I will be/have been lucky.
Maybe/more likely not.
Still.
-
FWIW: Amazon Prime is now showing "Downton Abby: A New Era" free for Prime members.
-
Ain't life grand!
Ain't life sweet!
Darned tootin'!
Did I do that?
Did I start page 6?
-
~~~DENTAL VIBES~~~ for you tomorrow, DR Ron Pulliam!!!!!
-
Did I do that?
Did I start page 6?
You're darn tootin', indeed.
-
Good night, friends.
-
We got out of rehearsal a little early tonight, which was very nice. Next one is Sunday evening, so a few other things can get done betwixt now and then.
-
I see that BK had the peppermint pizza thing for food, and that it was very good.
Which must mean I'm about ready for that eye doctor's office to call and set up a consultation appointment for the cataract surgery.
-
Dental surgery vibes for DR Ron Pulliam tomorrow!
-
On Monday I had to call a credit card company to get something straightened out, and the hour-and-a-half ordeal was just about on par with BK's experience with GoDaddy. It was absolutely beyond f*@&in' belief horrendous.
-
Dental vibes for DR Ron.
-
I have a biopsy in the morning. They want to check my thyroid.
-

Yikes. I hope it wasn’t a USAA credit card.
-
Started John Irving’s new 900-page The Last Chairlift. Yes, he’s recycling themes. And I still love it.
-
The last episode is a wacky Christmas tale with Steed suffering nightmares with a creepy Father Christmas.
-
Singdaw, according to imdb.com, these episodes are from season 4.
-
The finale is a hall of mirrors shootout straight out of Lady of Shanghai. It ends with Steed shooting Father Christmas.
-
On that note, good night, all.
-

What an ordeal! :o
-
I gotta tell you.
-
If I wouldn't use Twitter for free why would I pay eight bucks? Is that seriously being considered because that truly will be the end of it and that's a good thing. The bot accounts would disappear, certainly.
-
Although maybe they wouldn't - might be worth the eight bucks to keep spreading the BS.
-
Listening to Bill Conti's wonderful score to Gloria.
-
Been dealing with Kritzerland cabaret stuff - trying to figure out where we might go after Vitello's - that picture isn't pretty.
-
Ordered a few things from Pavilions - on its way here now. Just some snacky things like fruit bars, peanuts, and some Diet Cokey Coke.
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
With my viewing I'm finished.
-
My Dasher is approaching.
-
Approaching is my Dasher.
-
And Prancer. And Vixen.
-
Soon I'll partake of a fruit bar.
-
This will be a highlight of my evening.

I used to go to a fruit bar, but that was years ago.

Below freezing tonight.
Yikes! It's only supposed to get down to 34° around here. :-\
You must be living in the banana belt.
-
And?
-
We should just sit here like so much fish?
-
I think I'll have another fruit bar.
-
And make another thirty postings.
-
Try and stop me.
-
I will NOT be stopped.
-
Vixmom, I believe it was Ron who asked about WFO’s living situation. I remember when Joe passed away.
-
Just try.
-
Do you see me stopping?
-
Yes or no?
-
Do we see George just sitting there like so much fish?
-
Yes.
-
Not no.
-
What am I, doing a monologue?
-
I'm giving it my all.
-
My all is what I'm giving it.
-
And yet...
-
I cannot get us off page seven.
-
Even though that is what I'm attempting to do.
-
I have one minute left.
-
What am I, doing a monologue?
I guess you have better writers.
-
I have one minute right.
-
And yet, page seven.
-
What am I, doing a monologue?
Why, yes, you are. ;)
-
And yes, page eight.
-
PAGE EIGHT DANCE!!
-
So, that was good.
-
That hit the spot.
-
And then spot hit the that right back.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
And then spot hit the that right back.
Good for the spot!
-
I'm watching a Charles Bronson picture I've never seen, from 1973. The Stone Killer. Fun so far with fun Roy Budd music.
-
Nice new transfer, too.
-
Oh, the Covid tests that I ordered from USPS came today! That was very quick!
