Well, you've read the notes, the notes were revolting, and now it is time for you to post until the revolting cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: OVERTURE!
-
Notes revolted. Stomached.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well with Thatch cuddled up next to me, Annabelle in the cat tree, and Stella at the foot of the bed.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
The revolting stomach is a revoltin' development.
-
I have a bit of laundry to do first thing this morning, and an aria from Stephen Schwartz's opera Seance on a Wet Afternoon to edit.
-
Meanwhile, behind the scenes at Disney...
-
This is also a bit of a festive day. Danny Burstein and George Dvorsky are coming to visit this afternoon. I haven't seen either of them in ages. DR vixmom and I saw Danny in the last Fiddler on the Roof revival and spoke to him on the phone after the show; that seems eons ago. I haven't seen George since 2011 when we recorded the Victor Herbert songs. I'm looking forward tgo the visit.
-
I am pleased that DR Rodzinski is pleased with his new Dyson.
-
Make vacuuming fun again.
-
I always enjoy George Dvorsky's performances. Have a nice visit, DR elmore3003.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Wednesday. And I don't mean an Addams.
-
Had a double dream covering couple of old favorite themes I hadn't revisited in a while.
Might have been two separate dreams, but I'm not sure they weren't connected somehow.
-
Have a great visit today, DR Elmore!
-
I haven't seen or heard anything of Stephen Schwartz's Seance. This must be rectified.
-
I had tickets to see this at NY City Opera, but for some reason at the time couldn't attend.
It was given in the same season as Bernstein's A Quiet Place.
-
For the Bernstein, I attended the pre-curtain talk with Stephen Wadsworth. He was kind of an ASS.
-
Buona Mattina, Tutti!
-
Feel better vibes for MR BK.
-
Visit vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
Lots of funny videos last night - but I didn't watch them all.
-
DR RODZINSKI aka Dyson Dan mentioned Lyle Talbot last night and his son Stephen aka Gilbert from LEAVE IT TO BEAVER.
I knew the father/son relationship. And it's funny that Stephen appeared as Gilbert Harrison in the first season he was a football player and a bully.
When Gilbert came back in the third season he was Gilbert Bates - a scatter brained kid who always caused trouble....and I remember in one interview, the producers mentioned that they had changed his last name in honor of Norman Bates.....
-
Well I decided not to go to work today
-
Seeing as how I'm lying in the hospital hooked up to all these monitors and things
-
My heart decided to do its little party trick last night where it dances double quick time
-
While my blood pressure drops
-
And the accompanying numbness in my left arm.and jaw decided us to make the trip
-
Any extremely nice team.of 4 women took me immediately and after pushing some meds in my veins had my heart slowed back down within s half hour or so
-
Then the night was spent having tests and being "observed"
-
And I have just bern advised that tge cardiologist has cleared me to be discharged
-
So I will call vixdad (who I insisted go home at 3 am ) to.let him know
-
OMG, vixmom!
I'm so glad they're bored with you now and are kicking you out of there! :)
-
Good morning, all.
-
Mega vibes and prayers, Vixmom!
-
Sounds like a nice visit, Elmore. Let both know they have a fan club here.
-
Sweet, dear vixmom! Glad you are released but sorry for what must’ve been an unpleasant evening. Vibes of health and love to you.
-
Danny Burstein one of the best dudes. I interviewed him once for some show he was in, and another time, I think just so I could namedrop Larry Moore, and the stories and laughter flowed like wine.
-
DR vixmom, I guess you can't join my friends today for lunch. Do you know what provoked this cardiac mess yesterday? I am so happy you've been cleared for release, but I'm still a touch worried.
-

LOL! I'm hoping we do not get bogged down in a weeping mess over Rebecca Luker, the late Mrs. Burstein. George and Danny saw her through her last months.
-
DR Singdaw, I enjoyed the photo taken on Route 66 ;D
-
DR Rodzinski which Dyson model did you get?
-
Rodzinski, thank you for the interesting clip on Lyle Talbot.
-
From DR George:
I think Jane might get a kick out of this one:
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/_I0JHsfos68
;D The spice one after that was funny. I swear waiters have secretly done the same thing to us.
-
Seeing as how I'm lying in the hospital hooked up to all these monitors and things
OH NO!
-
OMG, vixmom!
I'm so glad they're bored with you now and are kicking you out of there! :)
Ditto!
-
DR Vixmom, that is very scary. I am super relieved you are able to leave the hospital. Will there be medications, or should I say a change in medications, to help prevent this from happening again?
-
MEGA VIBES FOR DR VIXMOM!
-
Lots of vibes for DR Vixmom
-
Good Morning. Day 3 of tech week for White Christmas. Things are slowly progressing. I guess there's an audience tomorrow for a preview. I can think clearer later after I've had some coffee. Other than that, we open on Friday!
-
Danny and George just left. It was the best time. I really love them.

Sounds nice.

Frances Sternhagen has died. She was 93. She was in the musical Angel among many other roles. Because, hey, who would ever miss a Frances Sternhagen musical?
-
I remember her from Another World.
-
Can we move on?
-
Perhaps
-
Puuuuush!
-
Three!
-
Watched The Lady Vanishes, wonderful as always. The disc featured a second film with two minor characters reprising their roles. But I had to stop it after 10 minutes. Lightning did not strike twice.
-
Now watching Rudolph.
SPOILER ALERT!!!
His nose glows.
-
I always enjoy George Dvorsky's performances. Have a nice visit, DR elmore3003.
Ditto and Ditto!!
-
Seeing as how I'm lying in the hospital hooked up to all these monitors and things
Oh, my goodness!! :o

I just saw that, too. :(

Sad, but 93 is pretty good. I always liked her.

I adored her. The last thing I saw her do was Driving Miss Daisy. She was excellent, and she was always friendly whenever I ran into her. She knew I knew her sons. I worked with her son Paul in Where's Charley? at Goodspeed, and I knew her son Tony from my Drama Book Shop days. He's in something right now.
-
I also loved her in Sex and the City.
-
I also loved her as Kyra Sedgwick's mother on The Closer.

Wednesday afternoon greetings! We have now had 2 consecutive days without returning to our old house, not because we’re done there, but because there’s been sanding and painting going on there. Also, we’ve been getting a lot of attention from the staff here at Mount Pleasant, addressing some maintenance issues. We finally have grab bars, towel bars, and toilet paper holders in both bathrooms.
-
Sorry to hear about Frances Sternhagen.
-
DR Vixmom, I hope you’re resting comfortably at home now with some resolution to your scary episode.
-
This is wack:

Apparently there’s a series of Bjorn and Ian.

That sounds good, and nice that you don't have to rush to return to your old home.

That was cute! I didn't know about the series.
-
Making headway with Barbra. About six hours into it.
-
It’s still before Funny Girl.
-
While Danny and George were here, Annabelle flirted with them for pets and hugs while stella tried to get their lunches. Thatch hid for a while, and when he realized they weren't mugging me, he relaxed and listened to the chat.
-
Thatch is a good guard cat.
-
Got blossoms on four of the seven plumbagos I planted last week. They really like being in the ground.
-
Lots of things blooming in the backyard. They will like the rain we’re supposedly getting.
-
Let’s move on.
-
One more

Four!

Nice photos DR John.

It’s going back to the 70s tomorrow. I think the warmer weather will bring more flowers.
-
Starting The Little Drummer Boy.
-
And Miss Greer Garson Is Our Story Teller.
-
My favorite title card.
-
Gratuitous post 100!
-
It’s going back to the 70s tomorrow. I think the warmer weather will bring more flowers.
It is cold here and rain is expected tomorrow. I wish it was 70 and that we had flowers.
-
DR Rodzinski I am looking at renewing my passport and was asked if I want a personal passport card. I don't. What do you use to go back and forth all the time? I thought my Washington State Enhanced driver's licence would do the same thing as a passport card though I have yet to attempted to use it.
-
DR vixmom, I guess you can't join my friends today for lunch. Do you know what provoked this cardiac mess yesterday? I am so happy you've been cleared for release, but I'm still a touch worried.
How I wish I could have been there! It must have been wonderful.
-
Nice photos DR John.
Agreed!
-
I slept most of the afternoon. We're sending out for Chinese.
-
I'll call the cardiologist tomorrow fir a followup

Good. Sending more vibes.

I slept most of the afternoon. We're sending out for Chinese.
I'm sure you needed it. Sleep well tonight.
-
Sorry about your situation, DR vixmom. Glad you are home and doing better.
-
Scary, though.
-
~~~SUPER-DUPER RECOVERY VIBES!!!~~~
-
There was a photo I was going to post that I'll now have to withdraw. Don't want to startle your heart any further.
-
But this one is safe. 'Tis the season.
-
Gosh. Busy
day week at work.
-
Thanks for checking in, Vixmom. More vibes.
-
I'll be working all day Saturday, too.
-
And back to it right now, actually.
-
Starting to watch Scrooged.
-
Love the flower photos, DR John G.
-
Karen Allen lights up the screen, as she always does.
-
Five!
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe six hours of sleep.
-
Here is the sad story.
-
I didn't fall asleep until four-thirty.
-
I woke up at five-thirty.
-
Back in bed at six-thirty.
-
Woke up at seven-thirty.
-
That was it for sleep.
-
Tummy was in turmoil, throat filled with guck.
-
Did stuff on the computer.
-
Ordered an Eyetalian salad and some spinach artichoke dip from California Pizza Kitchen.
-
They arrived and I ate them and it was way too much food, but I was still fighting all that damn spicy wings stuff. I cannot do spicy - of any kind.
-
I watched a bit of the new UHD transfer of Torn Curtain. Not impressive like The Trouble With Harry, but still very nice and much nicer than the old transfer.
-
At that point, I was uncomfortably full, so I plopped down in bed.
-
That was at one-thirty and I just got up at six.
-
Very difficult sleep, however - lots of phlegm and guck and throat clearing to clear it, the entire time I was sleeping.
-
That's still happening and my tummy is still not right - and I blame it all on them giving me the wrong wings.
-
I ran out of Ricola's yesterday, and those are very helpful for things like this but I'm not going out.
-
When I'm coherent, I'll try to write another couple of pages and I'll be finished with my sequence.
-
And that's my sad tale of woe and also whoa.
-
Wow Bruce, you had a night like mine tend to be-sorry. I hope you sleep tonight.
-
I worked with Danny B. many times, but only once with George, on the cast album of Pete 'n' Keely.
-
Jane, it was disgusting. I hate when it happens. I blame both Popeye's and Jose.
-
Not to mention Canada and UNDERPANTS.
-
My dinner was very nice and there’s at least two more meals with left
-
I think I’ll have an early night
-
But it has occurred to me that I never Wordled
-
So I’ll just dive in now, shall I?
LOL about Jose.
That sounds good.
There was a wonderfully snarky joke about Trump in Scrooged. I had forgotten that. It’sthe depiction of a frozen hell underground. Bill Murray finds himself surrounded by ice and waste water coming from the street.
“What is this, Trump Tower?”
-
And that's my sad tale of woe and also whoa.
Oh, my goodness! That definitely was a sad tale of woe and also whoa! :o
I am still not done with work, but I'm calling it quits for the evening.
-
It truly was a sad tale of woe and whoa. Sorry, BK.
-
Kissinger has died.
-
Just got an email with my Ancestry.com DNA results.
Lots to dig into, but the top-level results are not surprising to me.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Watched The Lady Vanishes, wonderful as always. The disc featured a second film with two minor characters reprising their roles. But I had to stop it after 10 minutes. Lightning did not strike twice.
The twits, right? Caldicott and Charters?
Yes.
-
Went back to bed - what a waste of a day and evening. There is something seriously wrong with my stomach - not flu or anything and I'm not sure why the throat clearing and phlegm is out of control but I'm have had it. Took an allergy pill.
-
Watched a bit more of Torn Curtain and there's no way this is a new UHD transfer - it's the old Blu-ray transfer. I'm gonna get my money back.
-
Just finishing one of TCB’s favorite movies, Scrooge, with Albert Finney. Sorry, but it never works too much magic on me. And I could do without Alec Guinness’s lame attempt at singing.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Sorry you’re not feeling well, BK. Vibes it passes quickly.
-
Mega vibes to Vixmom. Glad you’re home, but hope they learn what’s causing these episodes.
-
Hi, John.
-
Healthy vibes to bk’s tum.
I use Sambucol for sinus drainage, aka phlegm. Always helps.
-
Scrooge is also one of my and my sister's favorite Christmas movies.
Steady stream of appointments this week. Yesterday it was the optometrist and ordering new glasses. He’s VERY thorough. The exam was two hours, plus there were some tests, then the measurements for the new glasses. Both pair of glasses he’s made for me have been great. With my wonky eyes I need someone who pays attention to detail. I’ll need to return, though, on a day when he can dilate me, ie, when I’m not driving.
-
Hi, George.
-
Vibes to all.
TTFN.
-
Hi, George.
Hello, Jeanne.
Good night, Jeanne. :)
Washington state enhanced drivers license gets us through the border. Doesn’t work at airports though.
Christmas children hunger for Christmas morning…
Kind of a cringy lyric.
-
Page Sevensville!
-
Two hours elapsed between post 179 and 180. Not a soul came and posted, I was shocked to find.
-
But what can you do, tis late at night. Approaching the midnight hour here on the west of coasts.
-
Q for BK:
What song of yours are you most proud of having written?
-
This YouTube video was posted on the Cast Album Collectors group on Facebook:
The Sound of Music - Super Deluxe Edition Soundtrack
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOd-8q0Mn98)
-
The person just shows what comes in the Super Deluxe Edition of the soundtrack. :)
-
But at a $109.99 for the Super Deluxe Edition with 4 CDs and a Blu-ray Audio (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CK1BR7PD), it's a bit much for me. ::)
-
:-\
-
Most likely, I will get the Deluxe Edition 2 CD set (https://www.amazon.com/Sound-Original-Soundtrack-Recording-Deluxe/dp/B0CK1GF67P/), mostly because of the 14 previously unreleased tracks.
-
:)
-
No version of “No Way to Stop It” recorded for the film :(
-
Up against a shark what can a herring do?
-
No version of “No Way to Stop It” recorded for the film :(
That's too bad. It's a fun song.
-
I'm proud of many songs I've written, but the two I like a lot for their sentiments are Simply and Little Miracles.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
Well, we can't have the same exact number of postings as yesterday.
-
And now we don't.
