Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of the Oscar Bash, and now it is time for you to post until the Best Performance by a Cow cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: COLOSSAL!
-
Final design galley approved and everything is going to the publisher.

For Vixmom - my recipe for Faux Chicken Stroganoff
For two: Two large boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut up into small pieces. One brown onion. one can Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup, Knudsen's sour cream, Heinz 57 ketchup, salt and pepper, butter, milk, white rice or penne or farfalle pasta.
In a frying pan, melt butter and sauté the onions but remove before they're TOO cooked - put on a plate. Melt another pat of butter and put in the chicken pieces, add salt and pepper, and sauté until they're fully cooked, moving them around occasionally. When fully cooked, put the onions back in the frying pan and put on a low heat.
Empty the can of cream of mushroom soup into the frying pan, and fill the can with milk and put that in. Eyeball it and see if it needs a bit more milk once you've stirred everything together. You don't want the sauce TOO thick. When everything is stirred, add a little ketchup - this is basically for color and a little flavor - sauce should be a very light pink so don't overdo the ketchup. Stir that in. Raise the heat to medium and add the sour cream - two large tablespoons should be fine. Stir that in and let it all heat up nicely.
Meanwhile, you've prepared your white rice or penne or farfalle pasta. Put your rice or pasta on a plate and then serve the faux chicken stroganoff over it. Eat.

BK, I don't think I've ever heard of a brown onion...yellow or red or sweet, yes, but not brown.
-
But that's just me.
-
I guess you could call it a yellow onion - you know, a regular old onion.

Thanks for the recipe, BK.

Good morning, all!

I did not watch the Oscars. I had seen none of the movies, I wasn't nominated for anything, and after getting up an hour earlier and pretending it wasn't, I was ready for bed by 8:30 and in bed by 9:00.
-
I want to get that harp part written by noon today. Tomorrow, a friend I haven't seen since 2019 is coming to visit so I need to tidy up the apartment.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I crapped out and conked out last night, pretty much in that order, following a big day of keyboard work and loading things into the car.
-
Today I’m out of here early to get set up at this week’s venue (Carrie), and I have no idea how late we’re rehearsing this evening.
-
Health, wealth, and Monday vibes for all!

Of the Oscar movies, I still want to see American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall and Zone of Interest.

I love the fact that the abbreviation of American Fiction is AF.

Feeling better today - but still tired.....a bit of a cough.....
-
I slept through most of the AA show.....but I woke up to see Ryan Gosling's number and some of the major awards....
I think that number was my favorite moment, although I also liked Jimmy Kimmel trying to auction off Ryan's "Ken" pants to the audience and Bradley Cooper's mother starting the bidding at $10,000.
-
After looking over the score for the Act Tweo pas de deux, I decided that I did not want to add to the harp. So I stopped.

DR ELMORE good news about the illustrations.

What was the TOD?
-
TOD: The highlight is obvious: Ryan Gosling's wonderful performance of "I'm Just Ken" complete with Slash on guitar, lots of Kens from the movie, and cameos from lots of other Barbie folks, plus a brief Emma Stone vocal to warm the hearts of all La La Land fans. So much joy in a 4-minute production number! If you haven't seen it, here it is:

I didn’t like Sandra Huller’s dress either. She looked like her wings could poke someone’s eye out.

I've been on hold for about half an hour. We need a new primary physician and I fear the long wait means the one we want to sign up with will no long be taking new patients.

Actually they are about to drop our insurance who has made their last offer in the new contract negotiating process.

All the fuss about Ariana Grande's dress, why not about this ridiculous dress.
Well, she wasn't a presenter, and she's not as well-known as Ms. Grande.
-
Speaking of turkeys, did you see her outfit?
Whose, Diane Warren's? I have no idea what she looks like, so no recollection of an outfit. She's written lots of good songs but this wasn't one of them IMHO.

Thanks. We have appointments for introductory visits with a new doctor. The first two doctors we wanted weren't taking new patients.

Fingers crossed we won't need to see a doctor before those visits in May & June.

I saw something about the London Eye (the "Millenial Wheel") being dismantled and moved to Scotland. Which is apparently untrue.

I tried to get back to writing but my eyeballs are so screwy right now I couldn't do it. Perhaps on the 'morrow.

Went to the mail place and picked up a surprise box - I was gifted the new Eugene Ormandy set - the Columbia stereo years, the followup to the mono years, but this one's coming in two boxes because he did so many albums for Columbia. This one's from 1958-1963. It's a pain in the butt getting them from the laptop onto a hard drive onto this computer and into Music. I so need a new up-to-date computer. Although my laptop is five years older than the desktop and has no issue with the CD drive, which simply refuses to work on the computer. I've uploaded ten albums and am doing the next ten now.
-
These recordings are amazing. I'm not sure there was a better orchestra in those days than the Philadelphia and Ormandy, who has been lambasted by way too many people as being a hack or ordinary is finally getting the respect he so deserves - and is getting it by many folks who formerly were doing the dissing. What else is new? Ormandy brought classical music to so many young people and for that alone he deserves all the respect in the world. But his performances and understanding of music is as good as anyone's.

Page Six seems so close.

And this isn't even the New York Post.

Here it is - Page Six!
