Well, you've read the notes, the notes were wonky, and now it is time for you to post until the wonky cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ACCORD!
-
I think next time I pizza it will be a plain old cheese pizza, the way I always had it growing up.

Good morning, all!
-
I spent most of the day lying down and feeling like garbage. My belief is that I've been eating too much sugar - I had a bout like this in London in 1999 and spent a late afternoon in the ER of an Earl's Court hospital.
So, I decided that I would fast yesterday and try to flush out the glucose with a lot of water. Around 6:30 I decided to go to bed and sleep for about 12 hours. So I was in bed by 7:00 and I got out of bed this morning around 6:00.
-
Today is the first orchestra rehearsal with the entire orchestra. I'm looking forward to it. I have a list of wrong notes to send to Jae, the assistant conductor. After kitty cleanup. I will work on that.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Current 'feels like" is 11, and we are expecting snow later this week and this coming weekend.

~~~REHEARSAL VIBES~~~ for DR elmore3003!!!!!
-
.
-
Who decides these things?
-
I’m exhausted
-
The heart monitor I packaged up last night turned back on
-
And started beeping to alert me that it needed to be recharged
-
It took me some time to figure out what it was beeping
-
Then I had to reopen the package, shut the stupid thing off, and find packing tape to reseal the package
-
By then I was wide awake and it took hours to fall back to sleep
-
But I must to work so maybe Wordle will wake me
The title of my next thriller is: Heart Monitor: The Final Revenge.
-
Hope you can get some decent rest, DR vixmom.
-
Like the Oompah Loompahs do-biddy do.
-
Is it do-biddy or boom-ditty?
-
I can never remember.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I love cashews and I love pizza, but those twain shan't meet as long as I have anything to say about it.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I’m nuts for pizza, but I don’t know about nuts on pizza. I would try it (I try most anything I’m not allergic to), but it doesn’t sound appealing.
-
Two!
-
I liked Wonka but didn’t love it.
-
To Elmore’s list, I would add:
Mary Poppins
The original version of The Witches
The 1990s version of The Secret Garden
The Fantastic Mr. Fox
The 1990s version of Matilda
-
If you get a chance, I say try it once. I've been a fan for many years.
Monday.
Thirty two degrees with a high of 39 predicted.....cloudy with no sun showing.
-
I didn't watch WONKA because the leading man gets on my last nerve and I try to avoid him whenever possible.
-
TOD:
I like the lists of DR ELMORE & DR JOHN G. especially:
Pollyanna
The Wizard of Oz
-
OMG it's snowing!
-
Never mind - it stopped.
-
And started beeping to alert me that it needed to be recharged
Sounds terrible!
-
Is it do-biddy or boom-ditty?
Or maybe "Boom Chicka Boom" from NICK AND NORA
Never mind - it stopped.
Two Minutes of Snow - possible title for a potentially Oscar-winning short film
-
TOD: Does "Freaky Friday" count as a children's book? If so, that could be included on my list, along with many of those already listed.
-
DR Vixmom we have picked up pre-ordered photos. It is convenient. Keith had the last one he ordered mailed directly to us.
-
From Vixmom:
She does have a flip phone but never turns it on because “it will just waste the battery”
Oh my, it must be frustrating for you.
:(
I wonder what would have happened if the beeping began after mailing the package.
-
Keith likes walnuts on pizza. While I am not a fan I now permit them ;D
-
Carmelized cashews might be good.
I've never had walnuts on pizza, but I LOVE walnuts in chocolate chip cookies! ;)
Of course it counts.
-
Anything Mary Rodgers wrote counts.
-
Heating some leftovers for lunch.
-
And gave JB some leftover rib. He was very happy.
-
I’m now listening to Wandering Stars by Tommy Orange, whose first novel, There There, was okay.
-
Wandering Stars is also okay, but it feels less organic storytelling than political diatribe.
-
Three!
Back to Pretty Baby. Great use of music. Great Sven Nyquist cinematography. Not much else is worth mentioning.
-
In Hawaii. Yesterday the ability to speak was returned to me after a couple days of laryngitis. So now can enjoy life a little more. It is lovely here. We can watch the sunrise.
-
Gonna go exploring Kauai in a bit.
-
Wonka yeah. Miscast lead. Bad ideas like him being illiterate. Too long. Etc. I was happy just to not be annoyed by the music, which is a low bar.
-
TOD:
The Last Unicorn
Good afternoon.
Tomorrow is Arizona's primary. Seems like it's a moot point.
92 Guests are viewing this board!
-
If each of those 92 Guests would make one post, we could be on page 6 before 5 p.m. Eastern.
-
I was wondering the same thing DR JANE.
-
glad to hear DR RODZINSKI is feeling better and enjoying his trip.
-
As a child I missed out on many classic children's books and didn't read them until I was much older. While there are many movies I have loved that were originally a children's book, since I didn't read the original they won't be included in my list.
Polyanna 1960
The Black Stallion 1979
Old Yeller 1957
Charlott's Web 1973
Harry Potter films
Ann of Green Gables
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory 1971
The Little Princess with Shirley Temple
-
I was wondering the same thing DR JANE.
It was the same here.
-
I did not include classics I read that I don't think of as children's books.
-
Ushering for a play reading tonight. It’s called Bethany. I have no idea what it’s about.
-
Isn't there a song "Bethany Mucho" or something like that?
-
Bad wordplay, but it does get us closer to page 4.
Oh, I'm up, I'm up - have been up since nine after only three and a half hours of sleep. Got to writing right away and finished the sequence I was in.
-
For food, I tried a new jernt with another fifty-percent off coupon - Roma Deli. I had a cheeseburger and a small sandwich of roast beef, ham, and salami on a good roll, with lettuce, sun dried tomatoes, Italian dressing, and onions. The burger was actually excellent but not anything i would order from this jernt again because the Eyetalian sandwich was incredible and that's what one should order from an Eyetalian deli. So fresh and tasty and really puts jernts like Subway and Jersey Mike's to shame.
-
Watched a movie before bed last night, and then one after i finished lunch. i'll talk about both in the notes. Trying to get up the energy to watch the rest of Wonka, but I'm not sure I can because I know it's going to get worse and be more annoying as it goes along.
-
What is this page four malarkey?
-
I thankfully remembered that she of the Evil Eye comes tomorrow, which means early arising and early getting out of here. I'll have a light breakfast somewhere and then just have a snack later in the day, so no ordering from anywhere tomorrow, which is a good thing.
Broadway's famed Palace Theatre is almost ready to open up again after years of being closed. It was announced that Ben Platt is doing a three-week engagement starting in May,
-
though the announcement was clear that while that's the first show announced, that's not necessarily the opening show for the Palace.
-
Here's an article about that for Ben Platt fans or Palace Theatre fans.
https://www.cbsnews.com/newyork/news/ben-platt-palace-theatre-residency/
-
They call it a residency, for some reason.
Hello
Work was ok
And I managed to stay awake
-
I visited with WFO this evening, he says “hi”
-
I keep encouraging him to return but so far unsuccessfully
-
Dinner tonight was more of the chicken pie
-
There is one piece left….there may be a tussle to get that tomorrow
Can't you split it?
Nice!
-
Watching Freaks, made by fellow Louisvillian Tod Browning.
-
The movie has been cleaned up. It’s never looked better. Which makes it all the more horrifying.
-
One of us!
-
Five!
-
The staged reading of Bethany tonight would not have been to BK’s liking. A narrator announced the scenes and settings. She also read the notes on a violent scene that the actors didn’t attempt to act out.
As for the play itself, described as a darkly comic thriller, well, it wasn’t. Comic, yes, but not dark and not a thriller.
Tomorrow I'll probably fail in everything
They're lulling me in
-
I must get to bed
Last night, or rather early this morning's shenanigans have been on the brink of exhaustion
Good night
-
The Criterion set on Tod Browning’s work has been split by the library, but this first disc of Freaks is marvelous. There’s a reading of the short story that the movie was based on. Alternate endings. More.
-
I’m tired.
-
WFO should return.
-
I sat on my couch like so much fish and went out like a light for two hours.
-
Page five is ridic.
-
Truly.
-
Madly.
-
Listening to music now. Loaded ten more albums and only about eighteen more to go.
-
Then I just have to find room for the box.
-
I visited with WFO this evening, he says “hi”
Say "hi" back to him!
-
That's it? One post?
-
Thanks bunches. Page five is ridic. Thirty minutes goes by with ONE post.
-
And then my close personal friend, George, just disappears for a half-hour.
-
ONE post.
No tales of food or burritos or tacos.
No NOTHING.
No...here's a picture of a pancake house that a friend sent me:
-
He WILL be held responsible, but I fear he no longer gives a flying Wallenda.
There were six pictures total, so here's another:
And finally:
I don't know where this house is, but the pictures do look legit.
-
Tonight's Incorruptible rehearsal went quite well.
-
It was a designer's run, so all the designers were there.
-
We're really in a good place right now.
-
After the rehearsal, there was a production meeting, so I got out a little later than expected because I didn't remember that there was supposed to be a meeting. ::)
-
But, that was not a problem, so all is well.
