Notes cunning. Linguistic.
You Can't Take it With You has always been one of my favorite plays.
Enjoyed DR Rodzinski's posts about the ballet last night.
BK, I agree completely with you about 3-act plays being repositioned to 2-acts and a similar attitude about plays - mostly musicals, it seems - that played originally without intermission getting sliced into two sections.
Raise your arms and someone's always there.

It is Sunday.
It is cloudy and should rain some today.
I shall have a Zoom chat this afternoon with a coterie of like-minded individuals about film music, politics and societal woes. It should be fun.

AMEN.
Rare documentation of Rex Harrison performing "YMCA" at my bar mitzvah.
Greetings from the Bedford Playhouse, where I’m quite early but that’s all right. Got a parking space right out front, and I’ll go on in and see who’s here.
Today my daughter had a “ballet” performance to finish her year of dance class. Big production at a local Canadian high school. Very cute. The whole show was a version of Disney’s Aladdin with various dance numbers interspersed.
And for those that haven't seen it, skip to 0.45" for the inside scoop on that whole fiasco.

As you can decipher from these posts, I did not change my mind about traveling with relatives to Lexington SC to watch a ball game.
I did, however, have some exchanges with my cousin Ashley's husband, Clay, over a difference of opinion about Trump's days in court.
He was kind enough to point out that the trial was a fascistic sham, perpetrated by hateful individuals with political motives. To wit, he said he knows for a fact that the judge should have recused himself because he violated a New York State law prohibiting judges from making political contributions and that Judge Merchan had done this in support of Joe Biden;
He said that Merchan has previously prosecuted cases involving Trump and was, therefore, prejudgiced;
He said he knows for a fact that Merchan's daughter is involved in political activities determined to prosecute Trump and that Merchan was legally obligated to recuse himself because of this;
He further said that one of the people testifying had been a DOJ employee and had left to join a legal team prosecuting Trump and was never a supporter of Trump (which was my original contention about those who were witnesses). I changed the wording in my post saying that the most significant witnesses had been Trump supporters.
I suggested that his first two "facts" are more allegations than factual. He declared he learned it all on CNN and could prove they are facts. I suspect Fox News is more likely the culprit of his facts.
I demurred from challenging him.
Well it is official, I am one of THOSE people.
My review of DIRECTED BY has been rejected because it violates Community Standards.
I have been asked to edit it, but when I follow the link - it gives me a blank form and I have to start all over.
So since I am getting ready to head to the Theeder Open House - I shall have to do it later tonight.....
And of course I am not sure what my violation was.
And you thought you were going to do laundry.

George I always forget that your mother and my mother share the same birthday.
Here is sweet Dexter with Keith.

OMG! Are the dumb-as-shit Facebook police now patrolling Amazon? This is appalling!
Even though this appears to be a carpet photo for DR Laura, it is a photo of Dexter's markings. He was moving and this was the best one I could get.

I wonder if you just resubmit it without making any changes (maybe just punctuation), if it would still be rejected. ;)
We got to see our almost, July 1st, twenty year old grandcat.

Very nice picture, Jane!

Agreed!
And you thought you were going to do laundry.
When I used to take Annabelle and Thatch with me to do the laundry, it was hell. Annabelle would lock Thatch in a dryer and ask me for quarters.
Nice photos, Jane.

Danced well. Was pleased.

I’m officially old. Both nights ended at 11, and that felt way too late for me to be out. Thankfully, it was simply a matter of going from the ballroom to my hotel room.
I don’t have a lot of photos yet. And none while dancing. Hopefully those will come in a few days.

So sad :(
I was feeling much better today and had many plans for the day
I was iller than I have been in probably ten years
I rewrote my review and submitted it....we shall see.
As I said, when I followed the link to "edit" my review.....nothing was there but my FIVE STARS....not even my title.
I did include a bit about learning from someone who knows what he is talking about rather than podcasters and YouTubers who don't know anything.
And I included a photo of MR BK and I from 2010 and mentioned that we were both much more svelte today.....
I guess either of those things could be construed by an idiot as hate speech....
My revised review doesn't mention EITHER of those things so we shall see what happens.
If they had kept my original so I could edit it or ask about it - the mystery may have been solved....but now it is in the hands of the gods.
I'm back from my reunion. I watched Charade on my way out and Clerks on my way back. It's the first time I've seen either film and both were excellent in their very different ways.
And a friend from my first job has been encouraging me to watch Clerks for, uh, at least a couple decades? Better late than never for these!
