Well, you've read the notes, the notes were in a mellow mood, and now it is time for you to post until the mellow cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ERUDITE!
-
Very mellow.
-
Mellow as the day is long.
-
And now, I'll take a Melatonin to be even more mellow.
-
One simply must in order to the mellowest.
-
A truly mellow fellow.
-
When you're mellow, you don't bellow.
-
Sometimes people who are mellow play the cello.
-
Or eat Jell-O.
-
Yes.
-
Notes bamboozled. Hornswoggled.
-
Just to entertain my readers but mostly myself, I write an article in each edition of American Cemetery & Cremation magazine about movie scenes that take place at cemeteries.
-
For October, I wrote about Psychomania, the final film of George Sanders.
-
September’s is about Lisa Frankenstein, a movie I saw on a plane recently.
-
I did watch a couple movies flying to/from Japan. Only two. This is the only time I see modern movies these days (not counting kiddie fare).
-
Movie 1 was called Snack Shack, looked like a raunch com, but it was about two scheming pals circa 1989 who spend the summer running the local swimming pool snack concern. Kinda lamely plotted love triangle but highly realistic period vibes of being in the Midwest in the 1980s. Really nailed it. And good actors. One kid played young Spielberg/Fabelman.
-
Then Ricky Stanicky. Directed by Bruce’s favorite, a Farrelly brother. This had a really good plot idea. Guys use their childhood imaginary friend to get them out of trouble in their adult lives. Then they’re forced to hire an actor to become the friend. It gets out of control. John Cena is fun as the actor. Mostly it gets bogged down by the Farrelly need to include gross-out shock comedy, which was unnecessary and not particularly funny. But it held my interest on a plane.
-
And that’s my plane movie report for you today.
-
Thursday morning greetings! I’d rather still be asleep, but my 7 hours were up I guess.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Rodzinski, have you seen the Japanese movie Departures? I cannot recommend it enough. Here's a link to one of Roger Ebert's reviews:

And it's Thursday.

For anyone following the saga - the new actress was especially adept at following direction and blocking and her character was en pointe.....without wearing pointe shoes.
The actress in the hospital left a message that I found when I got home. She has been released but she is on two weeks home restriction so she has to leave the show.
I immediately offered the other part to the pointe actress, though she has yet to accept.
-
Act One went okay last night, we do it again tonight.
Just have to get the books off the stage.
-
Costumes are set and most of the props are in if not in order.
-
Only a high of 88 degrees expected today.....
-
I liked to read MR BK's opinion about the movie he saw.
AND DR RODZINSKI's thoughts about the airplane-viewed spectacles.
-
I will probably watch the Blake Edwards documentary over the weekend.
We don't rehearse again until Tuesday - too many of the cast had plans for Monday.
But we have a bored meeting on Sunday and the technical director and I will set the lights afterward.
-
I shall now interpret my Joy in Dance.
It won't take long.

I certainly enjoyed her appearance on the Donald O'Conner Show - an afternoon talk show that was on for about a year....
She was mostly surly. Her husband was on trial for dodging the draft and she was having troubles of her own. She wouldn't talk to O'Conner and snapped dumb answers....and finally said: "Why do you care? Just asked the stupid questions someone wrote on the cards for you."
And O'Conner looked at her for a moment and then said: "Okay, sister, I'll ask you. How does it feel to be up the river?"
The look on her face was priceless...
-
I wanted a refrigerator like DR GEORGE has, but it's too big to fit in my refrigerator space......
-
Too much me.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I cannot believe all tyhese early morning posts tpoday! Hopw wonderful.
-
I slept solidly from 9:00 to 1:15, and thenm it all went to hell. I do not feel tired at all, but I would be surprised if I got more than three hours sleep between 1:30 and 6:00. Annabelle vanished from her princess pillow in the middle of the night; off to her bookcase aerie, I suspect. Thatch spent a good deal of time between 4:00 and the alarm jumping off the bed for snacks, then jumping back onto the bed to run up and cuddle with me, from which point he gets more restless than I and keeps moving about the bed to find a better sleep position. Then, he jumps off the bed and the cycle returns.
-
TOD: The Donna Summer record "This Time I Know It's For Real" is almost surefire for me getting in a mellow mood.
"But Alive!" gets me in the opposite of a mellow mood.
-
This morning, after kitty cleanup, I will listen to "Some People" several times through the headphones and settle down to work. Yesterday was a lost day.
-
Now that school is revving up, Ann and Jen have returned toi NYC. At some point, Jen will stop by to pick up their mail. I look forward to seeing her.
-
I wanna go to Hobart.

Good morning, all.

I had the restless night and was awake way too early. I usually end up dozing off again for a short time, but that's always crappy sleep with crappy dreams. Might as well be up.

Hobart sounds nice DR JOHN G.

On the spur of the moment off the top of my head to coin a phrase, I decided to go to the store.
I gathered everything together - grabbed my keys and put on my hat.
And halfway to the car I realized I hadn't put on any shoes.

Hello, everyone.

Belated birthday wishes to Jrand. Sorry to be late!

And do you think all for naught gives one single Whit Bissell?

I just won't.
