Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a symphony, and now it is time for you to post until the symphonic cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CACHET!

Why am I up at 5:05 am?

Maybe because I fell asleep around 9 pm?

Nice!
-
George, what a delightful tale last night of your ushering experience and the people you met! And really nice photos, too.
-
Rodzinski, that name game word association page or so in last night's posts was great fun!
-
Why am I up at 5:05 am?
Is anything going on in the world or country that might be making you feel restless?
-
Maybe because I fell asleep around 9 pm?
Well, that's a possibility, too!
-
So, DR George.... Did you get his phone number? 8)
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
.
-
DR Jrand74 must be celebrating today.
-
Whilst checking his windshield wipers.
-
Good morning, all!
-
The alarm rang at 5:30. Annabelle, Thatch, and I stopped cuddling around d 6:30. I'm moving slowly today.
-
Jason Buell, with whom I edited new performance editions of Guys and Dolls and How to Succeed in Business Without really Trying, stopped by last night with the Bows and Exit Music for Gypsy. The project is pretty much ended.
-
I do hope some more work turns up soon.
-
So, today I will work on the Gypsy scores and I need to make a batch of chili.
-
I went back to sleep and just woke up

Saturday morning greetings! I’ve really had the “blahs” lately.
-
DR Ron, I’m glad to hear your cataract surgery journey is going smoothly. I kept a pretty low profile during the between time because my depth perception was off. No driving until my eyes matched!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good morning.
-
George, I am glad your ushering experience was far better than mine.
-
I'm starting to feel better. I think I will escape this virus without developing the usual sinus infection.
-
Millstone alert - Laura, you're just seven posts away from a 22,000 millstone!
-
Saturday morning greetings! I’ve really had the “blahs” lately.
Sending blahs-be-gone vibes!
-
It's almost blasé begone.
-
Which is almost a kissing cousin.
-
My buttonhole napkins have saved several shirts.
-
They look tacky, I suppose, but they work.
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DH SKIP!!!!!
-
I will be sampling that cake with my napkin in place, just in case.
-
Because one really can't be too cautious.
-
What a caution!
-
Is a caution causation?
-
What am I talking about?
-
'Tis a mystery.
-
Or an enigma.
-
Enigmatic.
-
Riddle me that.
-
DR Ron, I’m glad to hear your cataract surgery journey is going smoothly. I kept a pretty low profile during the between time because my depth perception was off. No driving until my eyes matched!
I was told to take caution, but my right eye was so much worse than my left that I have a good balance of vision.
The real "trip" is how bright and vivid colors are when I close my left eye and see how much improvement the cataract surgery gave me. When I close my right eye, there is a considerable difference...rather like watching a film in which color has been muted and has bluish or tannish cast in every scene.
Focusing isn't good at all yet. I can read with my left eye and both eyes work well with reading glasses for now. The end result is intended to free me up from wearing glasses at all.
-
Good morning, all.
-
A slow start this morning, but here I am.
It feels later than it is!
-
Oddly, I don't remember what I did in the in-between time, but I believe I drove only in the daytime, and probably for nothing much more adventurous than going to the grocery store. I definitely avoided night driving.
-
The chili is made, and I'm ready to begin the Gypsy work. I've been reading my friend Josh's book aboutby & Shire, so I've been listening to The Sap of Life this morning. Now I want to hear their Cyrano.
I worked with Maltby around 1985; I didn't like him. I met David Shire backstage at Closer Than Ever, and I really liked him.
-
I think I've mostly liked every Clint film I've seen. Unfortunately, there are many I haven't seen, and I do want to ketchup on them.
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DH SKIP!!!!!
Skip says thank you!
-
Is a caution causation?
Is that like having a Dalmatian plantation?

George, what a delightful tale last night of your ushering experience and the people you met! And really nice photos, too.
Thanks, Freddie! It was a great evening!

So, DR George.... Did you get his phone number? 8)
He was wearing a wedding ring. ::)
-
I also enjoyed hearing about the ukulele fest from DR GEORGE last night.
Such fun!
Thanks, Jrand!

George, I am glad your ushering experience was far better than mine.
Thanks, John. Fortunately, there are more good experiences than bad.

Happy Skipday!!

-
DR Geoge, I enjoyed reading about your evening and looking at the photos.
-
Last night I watched Wicked Little Letters, which I knew nothing about. I just knew that three of my favorite British actresses - Gemma Jones, Eileen Atkins, and Olivia Colman - were in it. It's very funny, yet very unsettling, and the cast is wonderful.
-
Why am I up at 5:05 am?
Is anything going on in the world or country that might be making you feel restless?
It is why I had a rough night.
-
DR Ron, I’m glad to hear your cataract surgery journey is going smoothly. I kept a pretty low profile during the between time because my depth perception was off. No driving until my eyes matched!
My eyes still don't match but I do better with distance than reading.

I'm starting to feel better. I think I will escape this virus without developing the usual sinus infection.
Good, and vibes you escape having a sinus infection.

Inspired by DR elmore3003, I plan to watch both Gosford Park and Wicked Little Letters today/this evening.
-
And there will be a nap somewhere in there.
-
Guess what happened next?

There was a big sale on paddles at the boat store today.
-
It was quite the oar deal.

I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of sleep.

WEIRD dreams.

In a little while I'll mosey on over to the mail place then figure out food.

WEIRD dreams.
Me, too. I woke the poor DH up when I yelled out in the night last night.
Well, in my defense, the bad guy was about to get him!

I’ve seen Wicked Little Letters twice now. Very funny and vicious.

And apparently very close to the truth.

I do not know from Wicked Little Letters.....but I have sent a few.

It is 6:07 p.m. and it is dark. The Pair of Keets have been covered up.

Tonight I will get to watch my husband Robbie Avila who last year played for Indiana State.
He and his coach moved to St. Louis at the end of the season last year.....bassetball.

In other news - I have flushed a tiny mouse I found in the hallway.

But it is that time of year.

In other news - I have flushed a tiny mouse I found in the hallway.

RIP tiny mouse.
-
Back from the mail place - no screeners, but a decent little residual for The Faculty - I can buy about four nice dinners with it.
-
Or two nice dinners at the Smoke House.

I'm no Dream-o-Matic, but your dream seems to suggest that you love your DH!
-
I wish I had someone to wake me up in the night.....just sayin'.
-
Hugs DR Jrand.
-
Today on YouTube I watched a documentary about Oliver Cromwell's head. Then I watched the movie "The Miracle Worker."

Congrats, BK!

I wish I had someone to wake me up in the night.....just sayin'.
Somebody hold me too close...
-
Also, I watched "Assassins" by Encores, and I was perplexed by inappropriate laughing. Except for Sara Jane Moore, I don't remember any of it being funny. It was quite sobering.
-
DR Laura I am glad you are resting while you recover.
-
Hugs DR Jrand.
Ditto.
-
Thanks, Jane. It's nothing serious, but I do get tired easily.
-
I'm pretty much blocking all the news reports on YouTube. I'll go back to watching people cook.
-
Thanks, Jane. It's nothing serious, but I do get tired easily.
Not surprising and it is best to rest instead of working too hard.
-

Smart move.

Keith keeps the news and political shows on all the time. I listen to some and try to ignore others, which isn't all that difficult since I have to struggle to hear them.
Tonight I paid attention durning an interesting interview with journalist and Noble Peace prize co-winner Maria Ressa. She is an interesting person, and wrote a memoir called How to Stand Up to a Dictator.
-
Good evening!

Happy Birthday to Skip!

Ooh, really nice!
-
I just want to snuggle with them.
-
Interesting, DR Jane. I didn't know that Maria Ressa is a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
-
Oliver Cromwell's head.
-
And I am assuming you didn't mean his terlet.
-
Interesting, DR Jane. I didn't know that Maria Ressa is a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
I don't usually read memoirs. I added this one to my wishlist and might read some of it.
-
'night
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
Finishing up on The Moderns. Unappealing characters on the sides and main characters who are too vapid.
-
And Hemingway is supposed to be a voice of reason? I don't buy it.
-
I had a nice breakfast where I cooked up some sliced potatoes with onions and peppers and when it was all nice a brown and bubbly dropped a couple of eggs on top and covered the pan until the eggs were perfect
-
Then I had 2 hour zoom with 3 friends, one on Florida , one in Iowa and one in England
-
Then I went to church and set up for tomorrow’s services
-
Then I came home and made a chicken pot pie
-
Sautéed some onions and mushrooms and carrots, then added three cubed chicken breasts
-
Once it was all cooked enough, added a can of cream of chicken soup and stirred it all up
-
Then added a drained sn of peas and gently folded them in
-
I used a refrigerated crust because I’m lazy
-
Then I popped that in the oven and watched another episode of The Bear
-
I used a refrigerated crust because I’m lazy
I'm lazy that way too
-
Was thinking of making a Nantucket cranberry pie tomorrow.
-
The pie came out very well
-
Then we watched an old dvd of Sharpe’s Rifles : Sharpe’s Enemy
-
Finished a motion picture and shockingly stayed awake for all of it.
-
Will watch another in fifteen minutes.
-
Then tea and a Klondike bar
-
But now it’s time for bed
-
It’s been a lovely day and I’m tired
-
Had a Tom's bacon cheeseburger - took too long to get here because DoorDash had the driver deliver three orders before me - it's a system that does not WORK.
-
Tomorrow I’m assisting minister so must get to church early
-
Also, they forgot my extra sauce for the burger.
-
Good night
-
There's a 90-minute documentary about The Moderns on this disc. I don't think so. But I may watch a little of it.
-
But the price is right at Tom's. If you just have the cheeseburger sans bacon, it's six bucks. I had zucchini fries with it, but they were not as good as Astro Burger's and I didn't eat most of them.
-
So, thinking about the evening snack - dessert or a filet o fish or - both?
-
Decisions decisions.
-
And then more decisions.
-
I vote filet!
-
Filet o’ dreams!
-
Tomorrow I’m assisting minister so must get to church early
Get thee to the church on time.
-
Good night, all.
-
Thanks to DRs Jane and George for the Wordle congrats yesterday
You're very welcome, Kevin. :)
-
Today, I helped my sister and the Olympia chapter of PFLAG with their annual fund raising bazaar.
-
I was greeting people as the arrived and explained the raffle boxes, then the room that had items to help the nonprofits (PFLAG, Pizza Klatch, and the GSA), as well as the main room with the local vendors and artists.
-
There were a lot of customers over the hours that it was open (10 am to 4 pm), but no door count was taken.
-
Gratuitous Post #200!!
-
All the raffle boxes were won and when I was there as the winners picked them up, they were all very happy at the event and said that they had a good time...and not just because they won something. ;)
-
A good time was had by all!
-
Guess I should write some damn notes.
-
Finished an interesting documentary - only meant to watch an hour but dozed off then finished it.
-
Hence the lateness of the hour.
-
Now, I don't know how each vendor did as far as their own sales, but I only noticed a few tables that didn't have as much business as others.
-
I do think (okay, assume) that everyone sold some stuff.
-
My friend Shelly had a table and did some business, but I'm sure she was hoping for more business than she got.
-
However, she didn't say that it wasn't worth being there, so that's good. :)

-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
Don't know if they were worth the wait.
-
Or the weight.
-
I'm waiting for the weight to come off.
-
It is being very stubborn.
-
George has gone to dreamland.
-
I have taken a Pepcid.
-
I really must never again go to the nearby McDonald's or order from there - DoorDash used to go to another branch - this one is just terrible.
-
Blechhh. And when did a fish filet sandwich cost six bucks.
-
Crazy times, I tell you.
