Happy Birthday DR RODZINSKI.
A very happy birthday to you, DR Rodzinski!
The storm went well north of me and so we just got a few breezes and a bit of rain.
However I missed the first 17 minutes of The Amazing Race because the weather man on that station decided to continue talking and talking and saying la mom chose over and over again.....and play with his computer...and change the graphics around....and then starting all over.
No word on the computer yet.

Thank you to a woman who packs more adventures into a week than most I know.
Happy Birthday DR RODZINSKI.
And now we return to where it all began, the first 14 years of my life. Thank you my Indiana friend.
The only cookbook I have ever cooked all the way through is Avoca Cafe Soups. I did this during the pandemic.
Avoca Cafe is a restaurant in Ireland that had amazing food. Favorite soups from that cookbook include a tomato-celery-apple soup that I have made repeatedly through the years and a green pea-mint soup (both of which are in another Avoca Cafe cookbook).
More congratulations on a sold-out opening night!
Yes. We thought being close by would make it better.
Really liked September 5. Very different movie from Munich. May go back and watch thst again.
I have no idea what a DH is LOL.
my SIL and her first husband had British midland accents and their eldest daughter picked that up , she is her 40’s now, and it’s less pronounced but still vaguely British .
My nephew sounds more Canadian, but could easily be mistaken for a Midwestern American ,
My nieces three kids sound like their uncle and their Dad who comes from Saschatchawan
Happy 90th birthday to George's aunt!
Happy birthday DR Rodzinski!
Birthday added to the notes.
DR Rodzinski,

I like having you here. One day I hope to get back up your way and meet again in person.
Rodzinski, two questions. Who is with your MIL, and how is your FIL doing?
NO MORE FALLING VIBES FOR YOUR MIL!
All this talk of soup is making me hungry.

You and Keith simply must come up for a visit sometime. And who doesn’t enjoy Vancouver, BC?

She is an an independent living facility but pays for help with things like getting dressed. FIL is testing as diabetic and they are keeping him to adjust his medication.
A couple of texts from the computer guy. They are doing a virus scan and adding an ad blocker.....hopefully I'll get it back this afternoon.
There’s a Thai restaurant nearby that does a fresh cabbage soup with so much more in it. Yes, it has the holy trinity of cooking — celery, carrot and onion — plus shrimp, squid and chicken, all in a vegetable broth with plenty of cabbage and ginger in it. You can get a vegetarian version with tofu, but it crumbles.
Seafood soups, such as bouillabaisse or lobster bisque, are a real favorite. Clam chowders of all sorts and spicy Chinese seafood soup are always welcome.
I like a little tequila in my gazpacho.
A local chef shared that idea with me.
Wow!
Cardero’s is always a good time.
One of my top 10 meals of all time was a bowl of vegetable soup in a little cafe at the base of a volcano in Guatemala. The vegetables, including cauliflower, tasted so fresh and blended do well together that I was transfixed by every spoon.
I wonder why I haven’t had more soups while traveling.

TOD: All kinds of matzoh ball soup and lobster bisque.
A new favorite is the Costco brand's Kirkland Chicken Tortilla Soup. Crunching a few tortilla chips into it makes it even better.
Happy 90th birthday to the aunt of DR George.
George, thanks for sharing the nice family photo.
I also enjoyed the photos from So. Oregon. Are they near where I lived?
Happy 90th birthday to George's aunt!

I like Kirkland's Chicken Tortilla Soup. They also have a tomato soup that's really good.
I've had a Campbell's Cheeseburger soup that wasn't too bad, but it's been quite a while since I've had it. Otherwise, I'm not really much of a soup guy. I like chili, but that's not really a "soup."

It sounds like a great place to meet. Now we just have to get there, and entice DR George to join us.

Do you also like beef stew? Not exactly a soup, but the broth can seem a lot like a soup.

We get them in a two-pack of 32 oz. each. Very easy to store in the fridge. It says on it that's seven servings, but for us as meals, each 32 oz. plastic container is good for two meals.
Add some tortilla chips, it's enough to feel like a hearty lunch.

A TV version of The Crucible with Fritz Weaver is now on Kanopy.
the only thing I ever remember from Dick Webster's was the lemon meringue pie.

Ran very smoothly.
About six people arrived fifteen minutes late.
You remember Beethoven.
