Well, you've read the notes, the notes had consistency, and that's that, and now it is time for you to post until the consistent cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BAKSHEESH!
-
I think George may have just shown up.
-
After midnight, when he lets it all hang out.
-
He's a music man, he's a music man.
-
Notes scoured. Scrubbed.
-
Yesssss sir, yesssss sir.
-
But he doesn't know the territory!
-
George is a man of mystery.
-
Gentlemen, you intrigue me - I think I'll have to give Iowa a try.
-
George IS a man of mystery, where as I am merely a mystery.
-
Yes sir.
-
BTW, Rodzinski, I do have some softcovers of Vegas Can Be Murder - I know you prefer that format.
-
The piper pays you.
-
I do like my covers soft and cozy.
-
The reality is I like my full Kimmel collection to be consistently consistent.
-
The hobgoblin of little minds? Perhaps. But it looks better on a shelf.
-
I smell the scent of mystery.
-
Can Kritzerland release Elmer Bernstein’s score for Doctor’s Wives?
-
Is Kritzerland in the music biz anymore?
-
Could there be a Drat! cast album of this cast?

I nodded off. ::)
-
George IS a man of mystery, where as I am merely a mystery.
A very intriguing mystery.
-

I have the complete run of hardcovers. :)
-
I posted this before, but I can't wait to add to it!
-
Today, my friend Shelly and I are going to the Washington Center for the Performing Arts for the opening of their latest art gallery showing. During the year, they put up artwork all throughout the lobby and tonight will feature the artwork of another artist. They're usually local people, so that's cool.
-
Is Kritzerland in the music biz anymore?
I hope it is!
-
Could there be a Drat! cast album of this cast?
That would be great!
-
And now...
-
2wo!!
-
And now, I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
I do like my covers soft and cozy.

Nice.

Keith got Wordle in three this morning.
-
We are on Cyprus.
-
We visited Kourion.
-
We are on the bus after seeing the Temple of Apollo.
-
Then we are going to Omodos Village. I have no clue what to expect ;D
-
Off the bus we are trying to distance ourselves from this tour guide who sounds rather like Carol Kane.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept well. The temperatures dropped below freezing and I woke sometime during the night to find all three cats huddled next to me.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I am up early so I can coffee up and go meet someone who needs me to record a song to send to some other people.
-
As luck would have it, of course, I just happened to be in the deepest sleep, having a dream I only remember one segment of, and I am groggy as all hell.
-
More coffee!!
-
DR JohnG, "I'd Rather Be Sailing" is my favorite Bill Finn song. Around 2000, I orchestrated it for John Barrowmant's CD. As was his want, the producer John Yap used the orchestra track for Sean McDermott's's CD of show tunes. It may be now, for all I know, on several other recordings produced by Mr Yap, since he's used many of my charts on more than two CDs.

I have a FaceTime chat with my friend Geoff Fishburn today at 1:30, and this morning, after kitty cleanup, I believe I will cook up a batch of pasta sauce.

Good morning, friends.

It doesn't help that it is very windy making what should be comfortable temps rather cold. I should have worn another layer.

What was a little sore throat this morning is getting worse :(

I wish groaning was permitted ;)

Oh no, DR Jane! Hope it doesn't affect your experience.

Poor Keith. We are back on the bus waiting for everyone and that voice is talking and talking. It is extremely annoying to Keith. Voice plus thick accent, not a good combo 😆

Sending international health vibes!

Good morning, all.

I slept well. The nightmares were kept to a minimum. And I don't remember them.
-
I loved Cyprus. Sounds like you're in a different area, Jane.

Here is the sunset DR JANE was talking about yesterday.

My question for ASK BK DAY:
Who do you think was the most talented kid actor in the 50s/60s tv landscape?
-
Wednesday morning greetings! This past weekend was quite emotional, as Saturday was our first DAR meeting without our dear friend Tina and Sunday was her memorial gathering. On Monday I had another ladies’ meeting in Oxford, OH, and yesterday Richard and I ran a bunch of errands.
-
I have a FaceTime chat with my friend Geoff Fishburn today at 1:30, and this morning, after kitty cleanup, I believe I will cook up a batch of pasta sauce.
Now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time!
-
Vibes for DR GINNY!
-
Sending comfort vibes, Ginny.
-
I'm up, I'm up - five hours of sleep.
-
Yes, Kritzerland is still in the music biz - another month and we should be up and running again - it's been a difficult year.
-
No cast album for this production - we don't have those rights and we have the one we did, much as I'd like to record this company, especially Sydney.
-
Back from making a recording of "I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here" for some voice students who are going to sing it at a concert this summer.
-
I love consistency, too, and my BK book collection has a one-off thing I must fix:
The first one I got was Album Produced By... from the signing at the Drama Book Shop which is when I met y'all face to face for the first time, and if I'm recalling correctly, the paperback version was all that was there that day. Or I would surely have picked up the hardcover. The rest of the collection is in hardcover, so my set looks like DR George's except for that one book. I will rectify that one of these days! :)
-
DR RODZINSKI I got my copy of the magazine today.
Thanks. It looks great.
I've read a few of the other articles. Most interesting. And the layout is very good!

IT'S BAD JOKE TIME!
Mike, an Irishman, goes into a bar and orders three shots. He tells the bartender, "One is for me, one for me brother Pat in Canada, and one for me brother Seamus in the U.S."
The next day, Mike walks into the same bar and does the same thing. Orders three shots and tells the bartender, "One is for me, one is for me brother Pat in Canada, and one for me brother Seamus in the U.S." He does this every day, and he does it for so long, that when the bartender sees him, he puts out three shots before he even asks.
One day, Mike walks into the bar, and when the bartender puts out three shots, he shakes his head and says, "No, just two shots today."
The bartender says, "Oh my god. Did something happen to one of your brothers?"
Mike says, "No. It's just that I've quit drinking."

Back from a nice breakfast and conversation, putting gas in the motorcar - every station is suddenly over 5.25 with most being 5.50. The former Shell near me - 4.59. I chose that one.

Picked up dry cleaning.
-
Not going out again.
-
Why should I?
-
Don't feel like it.

Yes, ChasSmith simply must have Album Produced by in hardcover.

I should probably have a set in softcover, but I don't.

It was our reward for having to stay at the boring shopping area so long ;D
-
While Keith got some very nice photos today, overall our excursion was a bit underwhelming.
-
For our excursion in Rhodes tomorrow we had booked a trip to the Acropolis of Lindos.
-
Comparing excursions with a couple of men who were on our Cairo trip, ours was better than their trip. They have been to Rhodes before and done the Acropolis trip. After talking to them, and since we have been to the one in Athens, we canceled our trip and will simply take a leisurely walk into Rhodes which is what they are doing.
-
We also made plans to have dinner with them tomorrow night.
-
It is getting a bit rocky. I'm glad that I am safely in bed, the best place for me to avoid getting seasick if it gets rough.
-
We have been told there is a possibility it will be too rough for us to port in Rhodes.
-
I wish I could ask DR TCB if that has ever happened to him. We have only encountered this issue when taking a tender to the port, not when we could actually dock there.
-
DR RODZINSKI I got my copy of the magazine today.

I've read a few of the other articles. Most interesting. And the layout is very good!
Thanks! Was proud of that issue. It’s large because it’s going to a big industry convention in Las Vegas. So you’ll be read by a who’s who of death care!
-
Smooth sailing vibes, Jane!

I've been playing through the score of EVITA. They're doing it at the local outdoor theeder this summer, and auditions begin tomorrow night. One person sent me the original god-awful sheet music (vocal selections version) of her song, and I needed some relief and a refresher so I pulled out the original handwritten PC and have just been noodling my way through the whole thing.
And I must say, what a pleasure to see and hear the chords, rhythms, dissonances, etc., as I thrilled to them in 1979 or 1980 or whenever I first started listening to it. The reason I have to say that is that he (they? Sir Andrew? someone else?) changed and dumbed some of it down in recent years. I was shocked at several moments in it when I saw a local production about ten years ago, and I guess this other typeset copy of the score I'm also looking at is that version. It's awful. For one thing, it's not a good piano reduction. But never mind that. I just don't understand why someone like Lloyd Webber who's written some pretty unique stuff would go for such changes.
Edit: Their other show this summer is THE LITTLE MERMAID. Oy!
-
Having just played MERMAID, I'm not even looking at that one. Let 'em bring in their awful sheet music and we'll deal with it.
-
LOL DR CHAS SMITH...funny joke.
-
DR JANE you are most welcome.....

Good afternoon.
-
I went to a funeral yesterday also. I wasn't close to the decedent, but I wanted to be a body in the church.
-
Did I ever tell you all the story of the best funeral I ever attended?
-
Well, I'll do that...
-
I went to a funeral yesterday also. I wasn't close to the decedent, but I wanted to be a body in the church.
That's very thoughtful of you to do that, Laura.
-
The guest of honor decided she was done and was ready to go. She contacted her family and friends, and we held the loveliest funeral; she was able to see old friends, enjoy the hymns, gather with her family, and enjoy her favorite meal afterwards.
-
The next day, she refused to continue dialysis.
-
She passed a short time later. But she got to enjoy the family and friends when she still felt ok.
-
DR LAURA that is an inspiration.
-
i decided to watch KISS KISS BANG BANG today because I haven't seen it in probably 15 years.
I listened to the commentary and enjoyed it very much.

Had a modern major miracle, so that was the best news o' the day.

Tried Wingstop. Hated it. The only place that knows how to do wings seems to be Jinky's - those are superb.

That's a great way to do it! We shouldn't be afraid of death, especially when we know that it's imminent.

I'm sipping a little coke as it makes my throat feel better. The redness is basically gone and I do feel better. Fingers crossed it doesn't turn into a cold, though a could just be masking one by taking Benadryl.
-
Guess I should write some damn notes, huh?
-
After all, it's almost two in the morning.
-
I know, I know, but I got involved in sleuthing and I was happily successful. I'll do a notes about all that sometime soon.
-
All right, then, I'll be back shortly.

Bolero is playing.

I'm waiting for the new day to begin.

I wrote the damn notes, got distracted and forgot to post them. I gotta tell you.
