Don't know if DR jhvw had it too.  She said at one point that he did, but I haven't heard if it was confirmed

Another day of rain tomorrow...sheesh!  I'm really tired of it.  Supposedly we will have better weather over the weekend. Hopefully they are being honest and not just teasing us. Tomorrow I have to go to Omaha very early in the morning.

thanks Ginny, she said they told her she has all kinds of immunity now and shouldn't even catch a cold.  Hmm haven't heard that before.  she's participating in a follow-up where she's allowing her doctor to report to the CDC if she gets sick with anything for the next 15 years.   Sounds like a long time to me. Not sure I'd agree to that

I have to admit I've really enjoyed being back at work this week. It's been interesting and very very busy. I've had some challenges and will have more tomorrow in Omaha early in the morning, but they are feeling like challenges now and not frustrations.  Between the new lease and the short vacation, I really feel revived and really optimistic about the future.

Wish the future included a trip to NYC and seeing Finnian's Rainbow, but for now I need to save $$ for the move.   I'm hoping there will be full reports about the trip and HHW get together

The LA rainy season is done - two days.  The city is back to normal (well...) and it was like a summer day.

Has the pronunciation of H1N1 as "Hiney" caught on?  People in my building seemed unaware of the "Hiney" pronunciation.

FJL, when did this Funk guy become a cause for you?  I'm just curious.  It's nice that you're sticking up for him.

It's not much of a cause, just a few posts in response to a mob mentality that irked me (I know you know the feeling) and now that the BIRDIE reviews are out, it turns out that Funk doesn't need anyone to take him up as a cause.

It was one thing for people to say he's not right for a role, but for the chatters en masse to say he can't act is silly when there are examples of him acting on screen quite expertly all over the place.

I still think the casting of a hot-looking Albert, one of People's Sexiest Men Alive John Stamos, sounds giggle-worthy even in concept.  It reminded me of the MAD Magazine satire of VIRGINIA WOOLF where they talked about how ugly they'd made Liz Taylor for that film.  And concluded with:  We wouldn't want our MOTHERS to look like that; our girlfriends yeah, but not our mothers.

It's not only casting Stamos, it's then making him look and act like a nerd, like Matthew Broderick in How To Succeed (or anything else subsequent to that).  Dick Van Dyke didn't need glasses and he wasn't a nerd - he was, in fact, a funny, charming, human, and REAL leading man.
