Well, I'm off to see Charlotte's Web.  Friends of mine are in this.

Until later!

A musical version of THE GLASS MENAGERIE.....I can't imagine the Tennessee Williams trust allowing such a thing.

Time to move forward, once you have made up your mind.

If I moved forward, I would crash into the neighbor's retaining wall. For us, all progress must start with moving backward.

And hopefully accompanied by a loud "BEEP!  BEEP!  BEEP!  BEEP!" as we backup.

! always BEEP when I back !  Getting older has its downsides!

I am probably wrong (although I usually leave that to Jack), the WSJ critic talked about the two enduring standards that came from BBB being PUT ON A HAPPY FACE and A LOT OF LIVIN' TO DO.  However, I would wager that 100 times as many people would know the song KIDS, than have ever heard of A LOT OF LIVIN' TO DO.

Maybe she didn't recognize KIDS the way Irwin was singing it.  The NJ review.  I have a feeling these are going to be raves compared to the New York papers.

I am directing the staged reading of the show, here and in NY - after that, we'll see, although they've promised to make sure I go all the way with the show however far it may go.  If not, I will be compensated for my contributions, which are many.

I'm watching an interesting motion picture on DVD called Telstar, the story of record producer Joe Meek.

Home from talking about The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society with my book group friends.  Fortunately, our hostess did not serve the culinary delight named in the title.

Joe Meek, for a very short time, was basically the UK Phil Spector.  He co-wrote and produced the smash Telstar, which sold two million records here and in the UK.

There were half a dozen bonus features for MIRACLE ON 34th STREET, but none was longer than 22 minutes, so I got them done in an hour.

Next, I skimmed the soap operas for today. Nothing of interest on ATWT or OLTL. Nothing in the previews for ATWT either.

I watched another PERRY MASON episode. I guessed the murderer fairly easily. When I was younger, I could NEVER figure out the killers. I've guessed the last three identities of the killers very easily in this first season set.

Next came tonight's episode of BONES. An enjoyable murder mystery, but I found it more graphic than usual for the show. I love the relationship between Booth and Bones, but the FBI boss who was interested in Brennan needed more encouragement!

I dislike the intern/girl friend of Sweets VERY much. She is my LESAT favorite intern, and I was hoping we were rid of her. From the looks of tonight's show, she's going to continue in a regular rotation with the other interns.

GREY'S ANATOMY was fraught with a lot of childish conflict tonight that simply wore me out. I couldn't get interested in the cases for all of the bickering and backstabbing. I hope this settles down.

Nice to see J.P. Pitoc in a guest spot.
