Seattle is Dying is an excellent documentary on the city yet we are still the best state.  I like that.

I had another spam call today - they spoof numbers in your area and assign a name to it, in this case Joe Lee.  I answered and heard a recording, telling me that utility bills can be cut by half and if I hadn't applied yet to press 1.  I did, and got a really nice Indian lady on the phone.  After she said hello, I interrupted her starting her scripted spiel and said, "Please put me through to Joe Lee."  She said, "I don't understand."  I said, "Put me through to Joe Lee - that's who my phone said was calling me and he's who I want to speak to right now.  I'm ready to give you my credit card and social security number and banking information, but I don't feel comfortable unless I'm talking to my new friend Joe Lee."  She hung up.

Back to Vincent and Theo. Very moody. Tim Roth is excellent as Vincent. Paul Rhys is very good as Theo.

I came across that on TCM last year and watched it from about half-way through.

Almost finished with Vincent and Theo. A few facts were played with, if one is to believe the stories from the exhibition. But there is one scene that was just amazing of Vincent painting a canvas. There's such excitement in his efforts to capture what he's feeling that even the paint can be seen running off his palette.

John, did you ever see Loving Vincent?  The visuals were amazing.

Congratulations, Washingtonians!  You apparently live in the best state in the union.

I'd seen a couple of articles about that, but I didn't read them. ::)

Has anyone read The Tale of Genji, said to be the first novel ever written? It's more than 1,000 pages. I'm curious about it, but that is an investment of time.

I haven't and I am not sure I want to.  It would be interesting to read some of it to get a feel for the writing.

I wonder if it's available through OverDrive.

It is (and there are many different versions), but my library doesn't own it.  I can't suggest it, either because I suggested something last week, and the library's (not OverDrive's) policy is only one suggestion every two weeks.

So, a couple of weeks ago (on my birthday, actually) while I was at my parents' house, I took my phone out of its case to show my sister and niece how easily it is to change the battery.  Well, as I was leaving, I dropped it and the screen cracked! :o

I was able to order a new screen and tools to replace the screen.  The tools arrived today and I fixed my phone!

Last year, I paid $40 just to have the tiny glass covering the camera replaced.

Today, I replaced that since it cracked again.

However, the cost of the tiny glass on eBay was less than $2.00!

The cost of the replacement screen was about $28 and only took maybe five minutes...and I did it myself!
