and I like to mix some sour cream in in the sauerkraut  when I eat it

Do you rinse the sauerkraut first before baking?
  yes -

I actually have preferred th stove top method recently

in a very heavy  covered skillet  i brown the port chops

remove from pan  the put sauerkraut , quick cooking rice caraway seeds  and a can of "golden pork gravy" in pan mix togther then layer the pork chops in there so they are surrounded  cover and cook over med heat until   rive and chops are cooked through -- serve with a dollop  of sour cream

Sitting here at my desk, I can hear the crunchy rain on the windows.  According to the TV, we're supposed to get about two-tenths of an inch of ice in the next several hours  :P

My co-workers used to ask me toward the end of the week if Rob's Scout troop was going camping that weekend.  If so, they'd make indoor plans because a Scout camp-out guaranteed that it would rain!

I'm going to go to bed and try not to think about the fact that Paramedic Rob has to be at work at 5am to drive a medical transport vehicle in hilly Cincinnati...'night!

Good Evening!

My plane landed at LGA right on time, and then it was just a 15-minute cab ride back to the UES. :)

When I got out of the cab, the smell of Thai food was in the air courtesy of the Thai restaurant down the block. So, I dumped my bags at the apartment then headed right back downstairs and over to Tiny Thai for a late dinner of Chicken Panang Curry. Yummy!

DR vixmom - See you tomorrow. -And there's no extra walking for me if I meet you at the theatre since I have to be in Times Square tomorrow afternoon anyway for a meeting. We shall all coordinate in the morning. *And it looks like the snow will be done falling by tomorrow afternoon, so, hopefully,it won't cause too much "trouble".

I've written about twenty-five pages and what I thought was going to happen has happened - I am flying through the first year of the new record label.  I talk about all the albums briefly and I spent quite a bit of time on how it all came to be, but I'm fast approaching the end of that section, which will lead us into the final two sections.  I now know that the book will not be longer than There's Mel - in fact, I suppose it could be a few pages shorter now that I see the lay of the land.  We shall see.  I'm sure I'll also add stuff in when I finesse tomorrow.

I certainly hope no DNR was applied to these pages.

It's all DNR - that's what memory books are :)

I've responded in your thread about Mockingbird.  Those people on that board are the most insufferable twits ever.

As Betsy commented when she was reading Mel to us on our cross-country trip, you have about the most "fine detail" memory known to Man.  :)
