Got to judge the Almost Famous Chef contest today. Three chefs from culinary schools in Louisiana and one chef from Dallas came to town and prepared some wonderful food. For me, it was between two dishes, but the woman chef was late, so she lost points. But the winner did a beautiful piece of pan-seared red snapper with fresh pickles and an Abita Amber rice. Just beautiful.

I am currently reading SAVED: THE STORY OF THE ANDREA DORIA.  I had forgotten (if I ever knew) that recent BK fan, Mike Stoller was on the Andra Doria when it collieded with the Stockholm.  He has become an important character in the book.

And now, I must leave work and go home.  HOPEFULLY, my cable is back and I will finally have Internet and TV again.

Be back...hopefully, sooner rather than later.

GOOD LUCK!!
HOPE TO SEE YOU SOONER RATHER THAN LATER!!!

THANKS, JANE!!

I HAVE CABLE TV AND INTERNET ACCESS AT HOME!! ;D ;D

Granted, it was nothing like Michael S. went through, so in perspective, I feel quite lucky.  But I'm VERY happy to be back on-line at home.

Sounds good.  What is Abita Amber rice?  I looked it up & still don't know.  Does it have beer in it?

I'm watching tonight's "The Rosie Show" and Kathy Griffin was supposed to be on, but she's not.  Rosie said that she wanted to do something different, so Kathy came in and they just talked without an audience.  She said that they were supposed to just talk for about 45 minutes, but they kept going and talked for 2 and 1/2 hours!  Rosie said that they'll show the interview on Tuesday AND Wednesday!

I love Rosie and I love Kathy!! ;D

Oy! I cannot sleep. I've just had a glass of Wild Turkey American Honey, the most fantastic bourbon. I hope it will knock me out.

I had a nice early dinner, then worked with the New York singer - I think we at least have all the songs now and we worked on a couple of arrangements.
