I came across this article from 2010, History of the Big Mac, which says about halfway down:

Quote
And that famous “special sauce?”  While Delligatti [the Big Mac’s creator] maintains total secrecy about its contents, it’s one of the more widely sought-after and readily-available clone recipes out there.  There are slight variations depending on the source, but this one purportedly comes from a 1969 McDonald’s Manager’s Handbook.  It was to be prepared only in an emergency, when the kitchen ran out of the pre-made stuff:

McDonald’s Big Mac Sauce (makes 1 cup)

1/4 cup Miracle Whip

1/4 cup mayonnaise

3 Tbsp French dressing

1/2 Tbsp sweet pickle relish

1-1/2 Tbsp dill pickle relish

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp dried minced onion

1 tsp white vinegar

1 tsp ketchup

1/8 tsp salt

Mix all ingredients, blend well.  Microwave for 25 seconds and stir.  Cover and chill for 1 hour.

You lost me at Miracle Whip 😅

We had to pull of the freeway as a tire blew. We went over a rock or piece of metal and the tire is shredded. We are waiting, in the heat, for road service. If only we could have driven a few more miles to the tire shop in Ashland.

Yikes, DR Jane, I'm glad you're OK!

Thank you.

Yes, Ginny. Go on your trip. Take some time for yourself. There's plenty of time to deal with the reality of things.

We've dealt with quite a bit of the reality today:

Berenice Ruth (Tucker) Ellis

We also spent a couple of hours in Mom's room.  I cleared out most everything I wanted and my sister and her husband will continue tomorrow.  My sister is one of the most insistent that I go to my classes tomorrow.

That is a nice obituary.   I think you should decide if you want to go to the class or not.  Don't skip it because you feel you should be helping your family .  You have done so much over the years I expect your sister is glad to give touch a break.

I'm going through my Foster Hall Reproductions set to see if/make sure that it's complete for the Antiques Roadshow on Saturday. ;D

Looking through it, the music for "Beautiful Dreamers" says that it was the last music that Stephen Foster wrote, but something I read on-line says that that may not be true.  I might do more research later, but now I just want to check all the music.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Susan Gordon, in person, but we became fast friends on this site.  I think she was one of first to understand my often weird sense of humor.  Together, we came up with a revolutionary idea that along with BK, could have been a great success for all three of us.  We didn't dare talk about it on the site, so we switched over to IM's and phone calls to discus our plan.  But this was the time of the stalker and he managed to paralyze Susan into abandoning the site and our big idea.  Still, she was great, and I still grieve her loss.

How was dinner?

It was quite good.  We both had the Caesar salad.  Very tasty.

And of course our big idea was finally done by others who didn't have a clew how to do it - just two years ago and it continues every year.
