Tonight, I've been working on recording to my computer Lifetime's The Christmas Setup to make a Blu-ray for my niece and myself.  The first time I recorded it from my DVR to my computer, there were just too many glitches and I had to redo it.  The second time, my video editing software couldn't even read the darn file! :o

I discovered that recording the movie in smaller chunks worked, so I recorded it to my computer as I watched it (it really is a sweet movie...and it features a gay couple who are actually married in real life!) and stopped recording after each commercial break.

I just looked at all the files and they're all good!  Whew!  Now, I just need to join the nine different parts (very easy process), and then use my DVD/Blu-ray burning software to burn the disc...then, I'll make a copy from that disc.  I found that it's much, much quicker to make a copy of the first disc than to originally burn two separate discs.

DR TCB, a new kitty? Did I miss an earlier announcement of your intentions? What can you tell us about him?

I believe I talked about my great nephew having to find a home for his kitty, because he and his girlfriend have two dogs that have been harassing the poor cat.  I said I would take the cat, but he had to be fixed and had to be tested for feline leukemia before I would take him.

Well, finding a vet that isn’t hard to get in for surgery, but we weren’t in a rush So we could wait until February.  Well, his landlord found out and told him he had to put down an extra $500.00 deposit if the cat was not gone within a week.

So, we got the cat tested (negative), and will worry about the big fix in a couple of months.

So, Draco (soon to be Drake) arrived this afternoon, and so far, so good.  The only problem is that they both look so much alike that I am having trouble telling them apart.

I saw this and thought immediately of DR Chas

That Goldbelly company is a real trip.  Their prices are outrageous, pies for $190.00!  I spent so much time looking at their products that I now get two or more emails per day from them.

Looking at the cast list on the Facebook event listing, there's only one actor that I don't know.  It's been fun identifying the voices I recognize...and if I don't recognize the voice, trying to figure out who it is because I know just about everyone. :)

Except for the one actor you don’t know.

BK, I am sorry to hear about your break in.  I’m glad they left you the car.

I'm sure that you'll learn each of their personalities and quirks pretty quickly. :)

We went for a drive along Fisher Road where, on the Sunday before Christmas each year, they line both sides of the street with luminaria for a stretch of about half a mile.  It’s a spectacular site.

I seem to remember a spectacular stretch of luminarias the year I lived Middletown.

THE YEAR I LIVED MIDDLETON is the name of my next tell-all autobiography!
