I have never owned an immersion blender.

I only used mine a few times.

I got mine at a garage sale.  It has some attachments which I use a lot. It comes in handy

An LA food critic rates the various varieties of Girl Scout cookies:

Interesting, not that I am eating Girl Scout cookies anymore.   When I did freeze Thin Mints I preferred them thawed than frozen.

My horoscope says I’m going to receive plural marriage proposals today. So, wish me luck. Maybe I’ll even know the people.

John, I know this is sudden....but I’ve come to care deeply for you...and your cooking ability ...would you do me the very great honor of ...(oh wait I’m married already, never mind)

Found a copy of this 1929 cookbook in my collection. It seems to be a first edition and in near mint condition.

The cover is offensive, to be sure, and the little I read inside it was appalling. It's a cookbook featuring black cooks' recipes as shared by a very entitled white employer. You know, the type that could never remember the real name of the cook, so she called them all Mandy.

Anyway, a copy of this is going for $350 online. I doubt I'd get a tenth of that.

Wow.

Oh My God.

We do have an immersion blender. Maybe not the best one, but who knows. Because guess what?
I just checked with the 'mates, and:

We'll have to look for it.

Good luck! They like to hide in plain sight

I got one about 20 years ago, but didn't use it much at all, so I brought it to work so the my friend Margo (we originally met at work) could use it for her then meal-replacement-shakes for lunches, but then her position was eliminated, but I forgot about it.  I finally noticed that it was still at work a couple of years ago and brought it home.

That's funny you suddenly noticed it and took it back home.

And it still works.  I've rarely used it since bringing it home, but I have it if I ever need it. :)

That was filmed 11 years ago, and she still had a lot of energy...unless she was joking about not having any. ;)

The local news just showed a 103 year-old man getting his CoVid-19 vaccination.  Not only did he survive the 1908 flu pandemic, but he also survived the Holocaust.  They interviewed him briefly.  He was sharper and far more articulate than I am at 70.  He credits his good health and his long life to his wife.

My favorite is Tagalongs.  They came in #2, but frozen #7.  I agree about the frozen cookie.

That's amazing!  I'd seen a couple of other reports about people who'd survived the 1918 flu pandemic.

It's never been released on any US home video format, just in England.

I guess there are some Emmy For Your Consideration screeners, but nothing officially for sale.
