vixmom and Jane - I don't know WHAT you two are talking about.

PHANTASMAGORIA!

I had the appetizer thing - I think I'm wrong about the craB - I think it's just cheesy and oniony.  And VERY yummilicious.

Among other movies, I would like "The Pleasure of His Company," "Susan Slept Here" and "Enchanted April" to be released on DVD.

In this hilarious satire of musical theatre, one story becomes five delightful musicals, each written in the distinctive style of a different master of the form- Rodgers & Hammerstein (The Sound of Music), Stephen Sondheim (Sweeney Todd), Kander & Ebb (Cabaret, Chicago), Jerry Herman (Hello Dolly!) & Andrew Lloyd Webber (Phantom of the Opera). This delightful, critically acclaimed show is suitable for the entire family. Selling out fast!

My mother saw it and wasn't impressed. She bought me the cd. I listened to it without reading the notes and got what they were trying to do and wasn't impressed. Although the critics did like it. I didn't and this will be a pass.

Spamelot is on my list too.

Here is an interesting article I read that I would like to share. It also has interesting side bars.

WB on DVD
Warner Bros. is the new Criterion Collection. How the DVD label cleaned up its act (and its digital transfers).

By "sorry" I meant sorry I didn't respond sooner to your query. Not "sorry that I work there". The company is going through some changes though that don't bode too well for the future, so we shall see.

GUMNAAN also has some wonderful "Beach Party" type songs and scenes as well.  DR MATTH - it just never stops.  Give it a try.

I don't get to go to New York.  ;(

Yesterday was DR EVIL KURT's birthday - but he moving into a new apartment so he is hard to find - always on the move.

I will tell him that he was mentioned and perhaps he will make a visit to HHW.  He got WRITER'S BLOCK for Christmas.

Looking forward to the show, PennyO!
Me and the gal will be in the 5th row.
So, if you could, you know, play to the 5th row a bit, that would be great.

SHANKS should have a DVD release. Starring Marcel Marceau, it was William Castle's last film and one of the weirdest movies ever. I have a bootleg video of it, but it deserves far better.

Hey, Rodzinskiii! Of course, I play to the 5th row! Are you coming to the gala event on the 19th, with the HainesHisWay contingent?? or some other star-studded evening? Like, oh, Opening Night?? which I think is Wednesday, March 16, but which my -- er, excuse the expression - Press Rep seems to have announced is Friday, March 18. Oy. Was it a typo?? Or what??? anyway... whenever you grace the 5th row of the Clurman, rest assured my performance is flowing in the direction of the seats!!

Sorry to hear about the changes at work, Rodzinski... but still sounds like a decent gig to me!

Looks as if I'll have a slight break from my total unemployment coming up.  Only a four-week temp job (starting 3 weeks from now), but it'll at least give me something to do for awhile, and will allow me to pay a few bills for a little while.  I'll be scoring standardized public school tests, specifically 4th grade writing assessments from Ohio.  Turns out an education degree actually IS good for something other than teaching!

Congrats on the gig... if you want a teaching job come to Long Island we desperately need good teachers here and they pay quite well....

My, my, my (that is three mys), what is happening here at haineshisway.com?  How do we go from 900 posts to 144 posts in two brief days?  Actually, amusingly, we're running true to form.  Last March the same thing happened.

February toppled last February's stats quite handily.

Now, we need some PHANTASMAGORIA around these here parts.

Precisely the problem... I'm not looking for teaching jobs at the moment, but finding it exceedingly hard to get hired on for anything else, having my degree in education (music education, at that).  Ah well, I'll keep Long Island in mind if I ever decide to swap coasts! :)
