I've just perused the Ray Courts celebs at the show I'm part of - some excellent people, some of whom have been there when I've done other shows.  The biggest celeb is Mariel Hemingway, touting her new yoga book.  There are quite a few Mayberry folks there, including Don Knotts.

Ordered Wild Guitar via amazon - 6.98, no tax, free two day shipping.  I should have it by Friday if they get it out tomorrow.

Yes there is a WILD GUITAR dvd on Ebay right now for $4.99 or BIN for $6.99 ending in a couple of hours.

Bud Eagle walks around in front of Dino's Place, checks out the Capital Records Tower, Graumann's Chinese, and we see a nice shot of The Egyptian Theatre as well.

I'm on my way to pick up packages - hopefully there will be several, including Matango: Attack of the Mushroom People.

I just sent out a package:  Danise, check your mail in a few days!  (Sorry it's taken so long. ::) )

I taped the BATMAN & ROBIN serial off AMC years ago. I can remember a theater in my town running serials on Saturdays, but I didn't go to that theater consistently to ever see all the chapters of a story. So I'd see a chapter of BATMAN & ROBIN and some months later a chapter of ZORRO'S BLACK WHIP. Only saw the complete serials as an adult when stations started running them on Friday nights. Saw all the FLASH GORDONs and both SUPERMAN serials. Also CAPTAIN AMERICA and BUCK ROGERS.

Just before The Amazing Race, a brand new N.C.I.S. described as follows:

A Petty Officer is found dead backstage at a local bikini contest.

What else from the network that brought you: Spring Break Shark Attack! :o

Very excited to see it DRJENNIFER.

Do you think it will be a double elimination episode?

Yes, I saw that it was two hours tonight as well. (I don't watch it.) These networks will do anything to keep audiences tuned to their networks and away from the others. Will look to hear from some of you to see if there is indeed two shows' worth of travel or if it's a single episode padded out to extreme length.

In 5 years time the celebrities (!!??) will be the participants in the reality shows of the last few years.
Worse than that is that people will want to see them!

Still a slow news day around these parts. I'm all ready for Rhetorics to start. I have a Cherry Coke and a raspberry Tootsie Roll Pop. What more do I need?

Don Knotts has done the Ray Courts show many times.  Mariel, who has appeared in any number of films and television shows, is a first-timer and therefore will be the big draw.

.... What am I, Criswell all of a sudden?

Mark my words.

Kim Criswell??  I love her!  I just got her CD "Back to Before" from eBay and I'm going to listen to it for the very first time RIGHT NOW!  What a co-inky-dink! ;)

Or is there another Criswell that you were talking about? ::) ;D

I see, Mariel did what marketing folks call "creating scarcity" while Don Knotts is overexposed.
