Okay, this is really how much of a forgetful dweeb I am.  I didn't GET the joke in an e-mail, I SENT the joke in an e-mail AFTER copying it and saving it FROM Ron's post!  I really must have early Alzheimer's!!  Forgive me, Ron!

This evening we received good news.  Bogie’s latest blood work shows he has improved.  We just wish he would eat and poop (trying to be polite here) more often.  He isn’t as perky as he used to be either.

Keith hasn’t seen his mother since last Mother’s Day and promised to visit.  Maybe now I will go with him and let Bogie stay with the pet sitter.

Good Evening!

Greetings from my roomie's computer.  *Nice to know he's good for something...

;)

-That statement will most likely come back to haunt me...  In any case...

If Apple is as efficient as they have been, I should have my iBook back by the weekend.  Thankfully, the initial diagnosis indicated that something was wrong with the logic board and not with the harddrive.  I don't really have a lot of "stuff" on the harddrive, but I'm not looking forward to the prospect of putting all that "stuff" back on, so...

In the meantime, I guess I'll be getting plenty of packing done, so... Always a bright side.. Even if it sort of a dim one...

:-\

Help!  I've been trying to remember a movie that is floating around the edge of my brain.  All I can remember is that there's a little girl who keeps singing

The worms crawl in,
The worms crawl out,
In your stomach
And out your mouth.

It's a black and white movie and it has something to do with posession or ghosts or something like that.  This strike a chord with anyone?

DT DtM - this is a couplet sung by former DR SUSAN in her movie PICTURE MOMMY DEAD...but it is in color.  I don't know if it's used in any other cinema accomplishment.

That title definately rings a bell with me!  I'm looking it up even as we speak.  (not really--I just like using the phrase "even as we speak".)

Thank you, sir!

OMG!  I was also going to say that Zsa Zsa might have been in this movie, but I thought my memory was playing a ridiculous joke on me!  LOL!  Sometimes we need to trust those ghostly fragments.

And of course Zsa Zsa was a replacement for Miss Hedy Lamarr who was having some problems of her own at the time....

Well, Picture Mommy Dead is not yet available on DVD.  I guess they are waiting until next year so they can release the remastered 40th anniversary two-disc special edition.  I will have to be patient.

Because my cable box became operational today, I was able to record AMERICAN IDOL on the DVR for replay when I got home from rehearsal.

Not a good night.

The songs had to come from the years 2000-2005, and if these six songs were the choicest from these six years, it's been a lousy decade for music thus far. GOD AWFUL!

Now, Bo and Anthony outsung everyone else tonight. Anythony in particular started his song very softly and sweetly and then gave a rousing vocal finsh to it that was by far the best of the night.

Bo did a genuine rock song that seemed authentic. Constantine also did a rock number that had NO musicality to it at all. I hated it.

Carrie had a very off night, Scott once again relied on weak falsetto for a few notes that broke the spell of the song, and Vonzell was weak in her low register, quavery through the middle, and did messy melisma trying to salvage the performance.

Since I was at rehearsal, I was not able to vote for anyone or call the numbers to see whose line was busy, so tomorrow night's results will be a total surprise for me.

On the basis of effectiveness for my ear, I'd say the bottom three oought to be Carrie, Constantine, and Vonzell, but I suspect it'll be Scott, Anthony, and Vonzell at the bottom.

BTW, Bo got the longest and loudest amount of applause of the night from the audience by far.

I saw part of American Idol.  I also liked Bo and Anthony.  Didn't like Scott.  Didn't see Carrie yet.  I agree, I think Scott, Anthony and Vonzell should probably be the B3.

I also didn't see all of TAR.  Interesting watching the grannies climb up that wall.  Not sure exactly how 2 of the teams got ahead (need to rewatch that part).  I was happy about the end though.  I thought it was deserved.  More tomorrow!

Btw, had a not so great birthday day.  But very great dinner.  Then a very nice call with the bf after.  And then a not so nice one after that!  :(

I am through watching Anna and the King of Siam, and shall now move back to these shores with a new edition of Norman Jewison's The Thomas Crown Affair.  I refused to watch the initial DVD for it was not enhanced for widescreen TVs, which, thankfully, this new edition is.  It also contains a commentary track from Mr. Jewison that I will most likely never listen to.  Meanwhile, I am being silent and resting my voice.   I didn't overuse it today, but did sing two of Mr. Haines' songs in the car, just to see if I could, which I did.  Of course, I chose the ones in really low keys.

AMERICAN IDOL THOUGHTS

I thought Bo was the best of the six tonight, but I also thought that Anthony and Vonzell were the best that they had been in weeks, and yet, Anthony receivied the smallest ovation of anyone tonight.  I don't care for Scott, I never have cared for Scott, and tonight's performance did nothing to change my opinion.  Carrie was extremely out of tune tonight; singing all around the notes, but rarely staying on them.  Constantine gave a near fatal performance tonight.  If he didn't have such a large fan base, I think it would be bye, bye, bye.

Bottom three: (not my choices):  Constantine, Scott, and Anthony.  Scott finally goes home.
