Peanuts, technically a legume, were the only nuts I could eat when I was young without becoming seriously ill. I still enjoy them as peanut butter, in M & Ms, whole & peanut butter style. I often eat peanut butter by the spoonful. My favorite peanuts to eat plain come from the Williamsburg Peanut Shoppe.
Macadamia nuts are a big favorite of mine, especially when coated in chocolate. Tomovoz do the Australian ones taste different then our Hawaiian ones?
Unless my allergies are bothering me I eat walnuts or almonds almost everyday. I keep toasted slivered almonds to toss into various dishes while cooking. I use them in my Biscotti and Mandel Brot (almond bread). Until I discovered them tossed into fudge along with dried cherries I had preferred my fudge plain. George’s fudge with cashews sounds good. Mostly I prefer my baked goods and ice cream without nuts.
Almonds also make great marzipan.

Jose smokehouse almonds are good. And then there are the almonds coated with chocolate and dusted with fine powdered suger.
Cashews are my favorite nut to eat plain, but how they are roasted seems to effect if I can eat them or not. I also like them tossed in salads and in stir fried foods.
Macadamia nuts are a big favorite of mine, especially when coated in chocolate.
I mustn’t forget my barbequed nut burgers with a mix of almonds, walnuts and other goodies. Even meat eaters like them.
Just the thought of a hazelnuts, Spanish peanuts or Brazil nuts scares me.
