On a sadder note, fashion designer Donald Brooks, who designed PROMISES, PROMISES and ON A CLEAR DAY died recently.

I have said on several occasions that "The Glamous Life," "What Can You Lose?" and "I Remember" are my favorite three cuts on that CD.

Donald Brooks designed all those sensational 125 outfits for Julie Andrews in STAR! and netted an Oscar nomination. Wasn't he nominated for his designs in DARLING LILI, too?

The only thing I'm suffering from is HEAT exhaustion. It is HOT here today. A quick check on the net of the weather in NYC over the next four days confirms that I won't be escaping the heat there this summer. It's going to be as steamy there as it's going to be here this weekend.

I did get to RENO 911! The running joke with Liberace's piano was very funny and sustained quite well throughout the show. Other skits weren't as inspired, and the "Weekend at Bernie's" nuptuals I just knew would not work out.

You think this spate of boy scout and scoutmaster deaths by eletrocution and lightning might be God expressing his displeasure that the Scouts have banned Gay Scoutmasters?

I'm sure there is lots of Legrand I don't have. I used to have a huge number of his import soundtrack LPs, very few of which are on CD except in one or two track samples (as on the four CD best of Legrand set).
