Indeed. It was the first one I've been able to spend with her since moving to NYC six years ago, so I splurged for a very fancy dinner.

The Astaire/Rogers box set is sitting in front of me, having been delivered 15 minutes ago by UPS!

It's just like Christmas and Happy Birthday and "Just Because I'm Me" all rolled into one!

According to Playbill.com, Michele Pawk and John Dossett to Pair Up in Mamma Mia! Starting Oct. 19. It says:

Michele Pawk and John Dossett, the married Broadway actors, will get to spend even more time together beginning Oct. 19, when the become co-stars in Broadway's hit ABBA musical Mamma Mia!

And later in the article:

According to press materials, Dossett and Pawk first met while performing together in Lincoln Center's Hello Again in 1993 and have not worked together since.

I have that CD and I really love it. Most of the people in that show went on to bigger and better things!

Actually, I'm "invoicing," entering the invoice information into our computer so that we can pay for all the books and DVDs and CDs that we bought over this last month. (I work for a library, if you didn't know.)

I'm sitting at the laptop which is at the kitchen counter. I'm about to turn it off and move around a bit.

I should do something with my tin collection which is now scattered around the kitchen, all 42 of them. I went on line and discovered many of the tins are worth between $3 and $8.

I have managed to separate 11 tins to be given away, 4 to save with my Christmas decorations and 10 to be used for mailing fudge or other goodies at the holidays, not that I expect to have a kitchen this year. Elmore that means I won’t be able to make any fudge.

I still have too many left to save. I will decide which ones to part with after the kitchen is completed.

I did the dishes.
I did Thursday's dinner - Soured Meat and Glace, low German food, but the meat should be soured a day or two in advance.
I played with Miss Dixie.
I screwed around in my renovated room.
(hanging autographed photos, cd booklets and dvd liners; a great many from the Friends of BK, and BK himself)

Now that those chores are completed, what does TCB have to say. . .

I'm at home, doing research on the New Hampshire estate tax. No one's actually dead in New Hampshire, but our client's trying to decide whether to move there. It sounds boring, but as tax questions go, this is pretty juicy.

Where - I'm in my dorm room in Williamstown.

What - I just woke up from an unplanned four-hour(!) nap(?). I guess that walk took it out of me and/or I was still recovering from yesterday's 14 hour tech rehearsal. My friend, Andy, called me, and I asked him what time it was. He said it was 10:00, and I said "10:00?!?!?".

And that's that.

I spent 13 hours waiting for people to show up today. A few did. AT&T came to put in the phone lines. They were too late.

I like Big Band music. When I was in college, I volunteered at the public radio station on Big Band nights.

Seeing that article brought a big smile to my face. Two of my favorite people. And since I'll be in NYC in October - at least at this time I still will be - I can see them. Or maybe even end up playing "for" them.
