I also watched an old rerun of MURDER SHE WROTE this afternoon. This was the one set in a convent with Jane Powell as Mother Superior.

I think it was wonderful of Angela Lansbury to give all of her old MGM friends regular guest-star employment for the 12 years she did this series.

Not really. SEUSSICAL audition is coming in November, but I don't want to commute to the theater on the off chance I'd get something.

Otherwise, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC in the late winter/early spring.

How about you?

I am marginally better...there were some early a.m. complications that only some extra-strength Pepto could compensate for....

But otherwise, my fettle is fine.  I had a nice lunch and am pleasantly into my afternoon.

[move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]SPOILER  SPOILER  SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER  SPOILER  SPOILER[/move]

As for last night's "Invasion," I can only say in my "spoilage" defense that I gave away no major plot points.

It's not like I suggested that two of the main characters, including the top-billed actor, were "infested" with alien life forces....or something.

The promos for INVASION have left no doubt about the little girl's mother being "different." That was certainly no surprise.

Had a lovely lunch with Miss Jessica Rush.  Awaiting the arrival of CW now.

I have now heard from both eBay sellers whose packages are most errant and truant - BOTH hadn't sent their stuff.  I am really irked - the first of them I paid for on 9/4, and he said he had a "problem" with one of my CDs - which means he sold it to someone else and had to get another copy, plain and simple.  He said he's "resolving" that now and will ship next week.  The other fellow was supposed to ship today.  Which means another two weeks until I get them.

One thing I won't be watching is Mandy Patinkin's new series CRIMINAL MINDS. CBS is putting it on after CSI tonight to get as big a rating sample for it as possible. Then, it will ooze into its regular Wednesday night at 9 slot next week.

Right now, I am not planning on any theatre for a few months.  May do some writing.  Still thinking about directing DEATH BY CHOCOLATE next season, but not sure if I want to take that project on.

ABC won every hour of prime time last night with LOST's season premiere achieving the highest rating of any show so far this week, over 23 million people.

Such a huge lead-in helped INVASION attrain stellar ratings on its premiere, too.

Martha Stewart's Apprentice show did not do especially well with about 8 million viewers finishing behind the LOST clip show.

GRRRRRRRRR...I once won a book and was notified my money was being refunded because the book was "not available"......why the heck did they have it up for auction if it was NOT available.  I also let them know I saw that they had the SAME book up for auction the next week.  Guess my bid wasn't high enough for them!  Needless to say they received bad feedback from me.  :-X

re Jose playing disco - last year, I wrote a specialty number in What If entitled Born Too Late - a love-letter to disco.  Then Guy Haines recorded it.  And NOW they're playing disco for some upcoming show?  As always, a leader, never a follower.  As always, here to show the way to those who need showing.  Hallelujah, brother.

I'm thinking about seeing THE BROTHERS GRIMM tonight; it's my last chance, and there's not much else going on.  I will probably be the only one in the theatre.

I'm changing my name to Cordelia; this afternoon  my father bitched about the way my two brothers run his company, which they took over about 10 years ago.  Well, if your life is tending toward cheap drama, I guess KING LEAR's a classic case of family dysfunction.  I don't think my brothers would understand if I addressed them as Gonerol and Reagan, but I'd rather they have the kingdom than li'l ole peacemaker moi.

Gonerol and Reagan - that's the title of my next novel.

CW is still running late.

Gonerol and Reagan - that's the title of my next novel.

CW is still running late.
In the program to DAS LUSITANIA SINGSPIEL, Chris Durang and Sigourney Weaver claimed they were the names of their two children.

So, now I'll sign off for the evening.  Until tomorrow.

Good Afternoon!  Good Twilight!

Well...  I ended up laying/lying (I always forget which one is correct) on my bed for a few... The next thing I knew it was almost two hours later...  So, I guess I won't be joining DRs Jason and Ben tonight for "All About Eve".

....And in the course of my napping, I ended up rolling over onto my eyeglasses.  Thankfully, the frames and lenses are OK.  However, they're a little bent out of shape.  Literally.  I managed to pry them back into something manageable, but I may have to drop by an eyeglass place tomorrow and have them finesse them.  I don't want to chance snapping them.  So...

There was also the possibility of a "date" tonight too.  But he ended up getting called into work this afternoon.  So...

Maybe someone or something is telling me to stay in tonight.  Ah, well...
