Not to be confused with Saline Dion - who should also be diluted.

I thought I was getting punchy.

But you're right about "La Dion"!

I'm looking forward to meeting Jose come January.

Assuming, of course, he's still planning on joining "Lestat" in its last week here in San Francisco.

I'm still here...

I'm still hoping that I'll be able to make it out San Fran in January, however, after some of the production meetings this week, it's looking like it will be harder for me to get away for more than a show or two since I may end up conducting Damn Yankees during that time.  So... We shall see.

If not, I'd be more than happy to set up house seats for you at The Palace.

Well, Jose....take somethin'.....some aspirin, perhaps.

Drink a cup of hot tea.  Put some honey in it.

Or...drink something very cold.

I commiserate.

But at least, tomorrow, you'll get some cake.  If you're going to the birthday party, that is.

Well...I've never been to New York.  But it would be worth it for house tickets.  Especially if I could get to meet the cast and get autographs!  (HUGE hint, hint)

And I completely understand the lure of CONDUCTING a  show.

Did Jose dub for the Eddy Duchin story?

Nope.  I dubbed for Richard Dreyfuss in "The Competition" during the prelims sequence - Ginastera, Piano Sonata No. 1, 3rd movement.

Let's hope Lestat is still running in September 2006. then I shall claim to be DR Jose's best friend. If not I'll know who to blame.

I'd go with the warm lemon juice and aspirin too.

I think I just need sleep.  And a nice comforter.  I'm not feeling as sick as you that bad.

;D  Dear, Jose...I'm not feeling sick. I'm just not breathing.

Ack!

And on that note (C-Sharp), I bid all of you/each of you, a good night.

I'm sleepy, sleepy, sleepy....

You've never been to NYC?  Really?  Hmm... I'll have to plan a special Walking and Eating and Shopping our just for you!!!!

As for the "lure" of conducting... Well, since I am the assistant, if the conductor is out then I'm the next in line... So... It's not really a lure, more like a contractual obligation.  *But I will get a nice bump in pay for those performances if I do end up conducting.

Well... I hope it's still running in September 2006 too!

*By all accounts at this point and time, most people are thinking that between the Elton John fans, and the Anne Rice fan(atics), we should get a good six month run regardless.  Heck, Aida got middling reviews, and ended up running for four years, so...  -And, heck, In My Life still hasn't posted their closing notice, so anything is possible.

And I must head off to the Land of the Wussburgers myself.   Hmm... I think tonight's selection will be Tillamook Cheddar.

;)

Goodnight.

Home from the play, about which more later.  And what a loverly bunch of postings to come home to - I've read them all.

I picked up a bunch of upcoming DVDs today - Two for The Road, The Rains Came, Warning Shot, State Fair (the 40s one and the Ann-Margret one), Orchestra Wives, Lady Sings the Blues and a couple of others.  Now to write the notes.

The one night I say, "I'm here, baby" and there's no one here to talk to.

Are we just going to SIT here and not get to 300 postings?

I use the Mac address book, which is quite handy.

Have you noticed that TCB and George are NOT PULLING THEIR WEIGHT?  They're just sitting there like so much fish, and not helping to get to 300 postings.

I must say I'm going to have to bitch-slap the two of them from here to eternity and hell and back.  George will probably show up at some point and say, oh, sorry I was scrubbing my toenails in the other room.  And has George read Rewind yet?
