WOWZA! YOWZA! WOWZA!
I go away for a few hours to do some work and go to a very short(!) rehearsal, and I come back to over nine pages of notes to go through - it was just on page 3 when I last checked - and about 250 posts! Truly a frenzy! F-R-E-N-Z-Y!
I actually was able to get three charts "outlined" this afternoon before heading to rehearsal. Once at rehearsal, the MD said he was "Hun-gur-ry!", so we headed over to Cosi so he could get a sandwhich - and I got a salad. Then we started rehearsing, well it was more like a work-thru. We just went song by song checking to make sure we both had the right chords and melodies in our heads - the composer/playwright didn't write anything down. Luckily, it's kind of a pop-py and folksy "score" (it's just seven songs), so transcribing the chords was an easy job - although, all those inverted chords kind of stumbled us a few times. We were working on the piano in theatre while they were still building the set. And we actually got some good work done among all the hammering, sanding (lots of dust), scraping and vacuuming that was going on. I was supposed to stay until 8:00, but the MD said to go on home since he was back, so... After fighting the typical DC rush hour traffic, I was back home around 5:15! Not a bad "day"!
And then to turn on my laptop and see all the posting that's been going on! WOWZA!
While reading all the posts, I decided to sample the flavors in on a box of Hershey's Pot of Gold truffles. Not bad at all. I was just going to have two or three pieces, but I ended up sampling one each of the six flavors... and I had the "signature" milk chocolate bar too. Ah, well... -And the chocolate kind of tasted old too... Not bad, mind you, just old.

I'll probably do my best to finish up the rest of the charts tonight - only four songs left - well, actually three, since one of the songs will be done on guitart by the MD, and he'll be doing his own chart for that one. So...
