Hmmm, now I have driven elmore, Cillaliz, and DearReaderLaura from the site.

No, you didn't drive me from the site. For some reason on my laptop it shows I'm signed in when I login, but on my screen I'm still a guest. Everything works fine on my desktop, so it must be the computer

Well, it's stormy again tonight, but not right here. Of course, the night is fairly young, but so far so good

My mother and I were discussing how stupid it was that my dad burned leaves last night when they have said don't burn because it was too dry.

Well as we were talking she was notified that there was a fire near their place at the lake (across the street from where dad burned last night). They had poured lots of water on the burn pile. It turns out that it wasn't that, probably a cigarette thrown out the window of a passing car.  It burned up their fence, some things next to the guest house and singed the guest house wall a little. But, luckily, it didn't damage any thing else.

Back vibes for DR BEN.

Hippy hippy shake vibes for DR TCB.  And of course I have to repeat one wag's question asked when Liza went into the hospital for a similar procedure: "J.H.C. - how many hips does that woman have?"

Blue has taken up residence in the back yard and is now free to roam in or OUT of her pen.  She is sleeping right now on the deck as though she WAS the Queen of Sheba.

DR GINNY's story reminded me of the time I decided to help my mother by doing the dishes.  Do not - repeat - DO NOT use regular dishwashing liquid in the dishwashing.... DO NOT!!!

I had one of those moments when my mood could easily have turned dark today.  I was in the grocery store watching the families shop together for Easter and thinking "Oh poor me, I'm all alone"

Then I remembered that it was my idea not to go home for the weekend. I started joking with a couple of the employees and really made one laugh. That's all it took. I was happy again

Thanks for the HENDERSON facts, DR MATTH - and I noticed the VOD (or as it was known in publishing circles VD) - has a sales rank of 600 or so on Amazon.com - almost 8 weeks before its release!

There is also a very nice review of the film with a though about Patty Duke and her performance that never occurred to me, but makes perfect sense.  She was just too young for the role....

Hmmm, I've done so many goofy things that I can't think of one in particular.  Let's see, the most recent would be that I went to the drive up window to get a mocha the other morning.  I had so much change I decided to pay in exact change. I carefully counted it out, gave it to the clerk in the window and drove away.  Luckily I didn't get very far before I realized that I forgot to get my coffee. I went back and the clerk was holding it and laughing. I said "what do you expect? I haven't had my coffee yet?"

Titanic night on the Discovery Channel!

Yes, DR TOMovOZ - They Shoot Horses, Don't They? is a terrific film....and Mr Gig Young certainly deserved his Oscar for that performance.

I am  happy to report that Nilla has been his old docile self all week.  Tonight, unlike a week ago, instead of attacking me, he curled up on my lap and purred.  That's the Nilla I know

Definitely. We're counting our blessings.  My brother had a devastating fire 1 1/2 years ago, so losing a fence and as my mother says having damage that "a can of paint will take care of"  is something they not happy about, but not overly stressed either.

Indeed he did.

The movie almost cries out to be a stage musical but then "Steel Pier" tried.  (maybe too hard). Perhaps there is no way to make the events etc "Uplifting" and send the audience away happy.

We just finished watching that movie - I love the fact that it's the girl singing that song to the guy.

I'm not totally ready for our small family gathering tomorrow, but readier than I was  12 hours ago.  Off to bed, waiting for the Easter bunny to come down the chimney.  What?  Oh, never mind...

Whew!  Such a tough subject, DR TOMovOZ.  Wasn't there at least one play about Marathon Dancing?  I don't think it was a musical, though.  And you are right about the subject being down....of course, if you think about it....CHICAGO wasn't exactly champagne and caviar.  :P

I've been enjoying the History Channel series 10 Days that Changed America, or whatever they are calling it. I especially enjoyed the Scopes Trial and the episode about McKinely.
