Wow you skip one LOST and it's anarchy!

DR JRand, this episode was the LOSTiest LOST this season!

And now that I think about it, it also had little commercial time.  I watched it on time-delay, and I was amazed how quickly I zapped through the commercials.

And speaking of commercials, did everyone catch the commercial for The Hanslo Organization?  I'm guessing that if you called the 1-877-HANSLO number you get some kind of clue to that contest that DR Jennifer mentioned last week.

Speaking of dishes, the belated birthday wishes from Celine actually included, among other things, a wish that someone do my dishes for me.  I'm beginning to think the email might not have been from Celine herself, but someone with a sense of humor.

Omphalos Ado shakes artworld!

Commenting on the above, LA Times reports:Well, it seems Van Dyck likes 'em big:

Seems like Rembrandt agrees

Belly buttons have been getting progressively smaller due to evolution.  There's much less lint in the world nowadays.

Back from our extra long class, which was fun.  It was audition day - some people did really well, some of the usual suspects totally screwed up, and a couple of people who haven't done that well in the past really stepped up to the plate.  Our pianist also had some good things to say to the kids in terms of behavior in an audition room.  We then ran the two numbers that have been staged, and they've really got them down in terms of movement, just not musically yet.

Yes, I remember Nudie's engagement at the 68th St. Playhouse (the ad campaign, which was brilliant, read "there goes the neighborhood").  We played there four fourteen or fifteen weeks straight.

There are a couple of shots of the Oriental Movie Theatre in UNWED MOTHER....was that is LA?

Looks like the box office was flush with the building and not extended like a lot of theatres.  ;D

Well DR DtM - perhaps I can see it on the rerun circuit.....  otherwise I will be LOST.  Not that I am too worried or concerned.  It's not like I missed an eppy of HERE'S LUCY or something.

Am I missing out? I've never seen Alias. Saw the first episode of Lost because my friend was on it. Haven't seen it since.
I DO watch The Sopranos. Another couple of the actors on the show have been arrested ("Artie" for one). That's what I call dedication to your craft.

Actually, I think you can watch it at ABC.COM now.  THey have free episodes of LOST, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and even the lame duck COMMANDER IN CHIEF.

I did not like what they did to nadia. What was the point of getting her out of her coma?

And I sort of liked renee rienne. Double bummer!

I remember a few years ago when we would comment on the show and gasp. :(

more spoiler space

I was shocked - at myself for not caring one little bit about Nadia's death. It reminded me of a melodramatic fall though a window or something that might have happened on DYNASTY, completely bogus and manipulative and desperate. I'm only surprised they didn't film the fall in slow motion.

At this point with the doubles and faked deaths and repetitive switches of allegiance (Sloane), I'm over it and hanging on ONLY because there are only a couple of episodes left.

I auditioned for the role of Mordred in 1982, but I wasn't cast. I was offered ensemble, but I turned it down.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Bette Davis documentary. While not much of the information was new, it was nice seeing the talking heads paying her due respect, and I did enjoy seeing Davis in a succession of interviews on various TV programs over the decades.

I did think it was VERY pretentious to subtitle the heads with their continuously changing Oscar nominations/wins. We know who James Woods is without being reminded he was nominated for an Oscar a couple of times. Same with Ellen Burstyn and Jane Fonda and the others. And why not subtitle Charles Busch with "Tony nominee" or Jane Fonda with "Emmy Winner" instead of just giving Oscar the sole credit for importance, as if it is.

HOUSE certainly had a harrowing conclusion to Tuesday's show. And I got the feeling it wasn't a real conclusion but left a bit open ended to actually continue next week.

LAW & ORDER had a very interesting case dipping deep into political waters, usually making for excellent dramatic episodes. This one certainly was.

Tuesday's SCRUBS had a more somber episode than usual. The show always has humor, but there was more than a tinge of serious about it this week.

For those of us who were feeling "old"

Quote
SAN AGUSTIN, El Salvador - Friends and relatives of Cruz Hernandez’s gathered Wednesday to celebrate her 128th birthday, a milestone that might make her the world’s oldest person.

According to national records, Hernandez was born on May 3, 1878, in one of the country’s central provinces, where she gave birth to 13 children. She now has 60 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren.

For those of us that were feeling "fat"

Quote
ROME - A Mexican man who at 1,200 lbs. is possibly the heaviest person in the world hopes to travel to Italy for a life-saving operation to shed weight.

“I can’t walk. I’m can’t leave my bed,” the 40-year-old Uribe, who weighs the same as five baby elephants, said in a recent telephone interview.

This is interesting.  When I first read Vixmom’s post the quote was in a tiny little box & I could hardly read the print.  After I posted the box grew & the print tripled in size.

We had a nice visit with Penny, showed her all the changes in the house & the work in progress of the guest room & bathroom.  She will definitely enjoy the new/improved shower next time she stays here.

After the tour Penny & I went for a walk, it is so beautiful & green right now.  Best of all the cows were in the pasture, always a pretty sight.
