Will there be a PJ party on Sunday??? Darn, I won't be around. Oh, well. You will all have to wonder what I look like in skimpy PJs. You've seen me in a blue duffel coat and jeans and a flannel shirt. Now you can imagine what I look like in PJs (or no PJs but we won't go there)

Ben -- Next time you get around to posting pictures for our viewing pleasure, could you post an enlarged version of your profile picture?  It looks like such a cute picture, but my elderly eyeballs can't make out many details.

And since I can't add anything to today's topic due to lack of knowledge, how about this for a topic...what Disney movie do you wish would come out on DVD...I vote for BAMBI and THE UGLY DACHSHUND, two of my favorites....which reminds me that I really need to open and watch my DVD of THE PARENT TRAP one of these days!

On an actual legitimately-released-by-Disney DVD:  "Song of the South"

I *WASN'T* trying on the tiara. Can I help it if after I polished it, it just happened to slip from my fingers and land on my head? Not all gods are nimble-fingered.

I'm assuming the pajama party is Sunday night because of the Martin Luther King Day observance on Monday?

How long can NBC continue to start every freakin' ad for Friends with, "As the final countdown begins on Friends..."???

Actually, the first episode of the show was plugged with that line.

Oh, wait a minute...that was Coupling.

Pajamas?

Exactly what are these strange "pajamas" things folks keep referring to here?  And how does one party with them?

Are "pajamas" some kind of device one uses to imbibe Mary Jane?  And isn't that illegal in most states?

Why TCB, thank you. I'm looking on the computer for that picture and all I can find at the moment is the small version. I'll have to look at real pictures to find the original.

In the meantime, since DR Ron has done it, here is a picture of me around 1965. I'll keep looking for Anthony and me at the pool table.

Congrats DR Jane. I thought DR Emily would become a goddess first. But alas, maybe tomorrow. We need more goddesses to balance out all the gods :)

Btw, re: Friends, I am loving it now. And I don't think they are over-promoting it. I was practically in tears last week with the whole adoption scenario.

TCB, while I look for the bigger version of pool, here's a close-up shot of Anthony and me in London at a restaurant in Covent Garden.

Uta Hagen was my employer for more than ten years, but I've no anecdotes about her.  I caught her on Broadway in a two-character play in which she had all the lines and Charles Nelson Reilly had none (!)

But my favorite Uta appearance is in Thomas Meehan's monologue, The Yma Dream, in which she gets introduced to Oona O'Neill, Ulu Grossbard and Yma Sumac in quick secession.  ("Uta, Oona; Oona, Uta.  Uta, Ulu; Ulu, Uta.  Uta, Yma; Yma, Uta.")

On paper, Fiddler on the Roof may be the greatest musical ever.  Glad BK liked my Supreme suggestion.

Oh, I have nothing against the show, and I don't even mind if they show ad after ad for it.  I'm just flummoxed as to how the last 3 or 4 episodes have all been the one to "begin the final countdown."  How many times can the fershluganah thing be begun? :)

Good afternoon all.
My printer has decided to go tits up, so I'm over at the school library printing some stuff out.  A pox on all printers, says I.
I also took advantage of the speedy connection to read today's notes.  My poor dialup sometimes has heart failure when I try to load page after page.
Fiddler casts...I doubt I could top some of the ones already posted, but perhaps I shall try later on.
Congrats to DR Jane.

Sometimes even shows I love will get me annoyed with the way they are promoted.  If I hear the Without A Trace "Every...second...counts" bit one more time, I shall scream.

Finally back, thank goodness.  What a day - from the Hills of Woodland, to Glendale, to Encino, and back.  Endless.  But a nice meeting with the Bullshit people and we'll be meeting again on Monday to solidify exactly what we're doing.  Caught up on all your excellent postings, too, and now must eat something as I haven't eaten one thing all day.

Pajama party can either be Saturday or Sunday night - whichever works best for the most amount of people.

LOL, George, hilarious casting list!

Is it true that Yma Sumac was really an ex-housewife named Amy Camus?
