Michael, those short naps are very beneficial.
I'm a little slow on the uptake tonight, but HUH??
I can't tell you how disappointed I am that Tomovoz's illegitimate niece, Nicole Kidman, didn't receive a single nomination for anything!

I have never read Michael Shayne novel. Which one shall I begin with?Danise thank you for posting the karma fairy. She is sooo cute!
We discussed Amy Camus a page or two before your question. I thought you were trying to be funny. Sorry!
I was certainly not disappointed and I was certainly not aware that Sam and Froddo were crying too much! I was amazed at the inventiveness of the Battle scenes - they did not see like LOTR TT revisited. I was also pleased to see the endings as I remember them. It would have been too easy for go for just one. The very first scene was a total surprise - a great way to start. (I thought I was about to see "A River Runs thought It").
I am so FULL.
I agree with you and was in awe of the Battle scenes. I thought the movie was great and definitely worth the wait. It has been over thirty years since Keith and I read the trilogy and we did not remember the same ending. For us the book ended a bit sooner. Now I want to reread the books, or at least the ending, and cannot find our copies. I think our son has them.
I find the SAG awards one big ol' joke.
I just opened a package my cousin sent from Switzerland. It was full of marzipan - my favorite -
Congratulations Emily. Welcome to your particular cloud with its own special views of your choosing.BTW: Who is the man masquerading as TCB?
Actually, Jane, except for the ships sailing to the Grey Havens, we missed a big chunk of the last part of the book. There was a chapter called "The Scourging of the Shire" in which the Hobbits return to Hobbiton and find it overrun with all sorts of disreputable characters and they have to clean everything up. I'm hoping against hope that Jackson filmed some of that for the expanded release.
